Use as a timer and pretend you only have the time until the processor falls off to live. Accomplish everything you ever wanted to do, start a family, buy a house, travel the world, do whatever.
Or you can twist it off.
Does this lighter fuel work too?
Twisting srsly doesnt work.
Can't put it back now.
Okay, what do you guys think about putting a lighter close to it, then?
Knife + hammer.
>mfw screwdriver between the CPU PCB and heatsink ripped the heatspreader off the CPU itself
I had a friend that came to me with his CPU/heatsink disattached just like that, he pulled it off somehow. I know he did because I'm the one who put it together and it was working fine for like 4 months til that happened. Only difference is he had some bent pins on his, I'm guessing he tried to somehow remount it like that being stupid and shit.
This shit happened to me once with an AMD FX-8300 cpu that I had been using with some shitty $5 thermaltake cooler.
I swear the thermal paste on this thing was almost like krazy glue or something. I slightly bent a single pin trying to remove it but in the end I managed to set it back straight with a needle.
Not hot enough
>sorry for the shitty quality, my phone camera sux
Now, let's see if /g/ was right.
Yep, it worked. Thx, guys. Will finish the PC now and post benchmark results later.
Can't stop laughing at this pic
Think it's the
>call the cops nigga i don't give a fuck
Here you go.
Its the "I'm outside, so why shouldn't I smoke"-cig.
Would do it, but only for /b/.
We will see
>CPU back on the mobo.
We are already done with this problem.
And yes, this was some shitty stock AMD thermal paste.
Although the pre installed thermal paste on my H100i wasnt better at all.
Will be posting the webm soon btw.
Turning it on.
>what do we learn from this?
The socket don't grip the pins very hard since there's never need for it to do so. It happened to me once. When you put smooth surfaces close together with no air gaps, things acts sticky.
>OK don't listen to anyone else, get a hair dryer and blow it into the CPU for a bit, then twist it off slowly without touching the penis. This just happens sometimes. It's okay.
I came here all like "Okay he dun goofd"
But as I went deeper into this thread I laughed, not just blowing air out of my nose, not just saying "Hah", no, it was a full blown laughter.
GG OP, GG.
OPie do this
I'm actually curious to see if the CPU will work after like 30 seconds of being microwaved
I mean you set it on fucking FIRE for fucks sake so who knows.
OP be our mad scientist plz
inb4 crusty thermal paste has threads on it
You know OP...
pic is actually rather related.
Obviously a heatsink.
Get the fuck off this board, you don't fucking belong here if you can't tell what a heatsink is at a glance.
Fuck off to the weeaboo faggot anime boards where you belong.
