Pic is not my battlestation, my battlestation is currently under construction
Pretty boring but at least there's a theme and it's pretty clean. No hardware of any note visible.
5/10 for whoever's that is
Sorry for the quality. iPhone camera.
tiny desk and no money, I have one laptop being used as a desktop, with my thinkpad on top. Suggestions for improvement? Getting a new desk soon by ripping off Staples furniture warranty
Alright OP, coming at you with some real constructive criticism:
I won't bother knockin' your preferences for case/mouse/keyboard since those are all pretty much preference based choices, but you really need to step up your audio game.
I had those logitech speakers before I upgraded to my current setup and you don't know what you're missing out on until you get a midrange or high end audio system. Speakers like those logitechs dont even compare.
Same for those headphones. Stop buying headphones that are advertised in any way as "gaming" headphones and start lurking headphone threads on here to find a decent pair of headphones that will sound much better than that gaming headset. A simple less than $10 mic that clips on or sticks on will be just as good or better than the one built into the headset. Of course, you could also take the opportunity to get a higher quality microphone.
In the range of shit to OK tier, but I need a wider view and better pic quality to give it a full rating
10/10 anon, really nice. using this as inspiration.
maybe because I found the image on reddit.
I use a little all-in-one box called a Lightpack that captures light details from the screen edges to display as ambient. I don't have to set light color/temp myself, "it just werks" as mac lovers might say.
Here's an old picture in darkness of it with a different wallpaper
I miss my red walls often.
Interesting. Did you make the cabinets yourself? Is there a port at the rear?
>Worse speaker placement than I.
Your stereo images are literally crossing. You should put each one at the far right and left upper section of the desk if possible.
I almost bought a similar one, instead I got a wireless charger. How do you like it?
>Another ugly ass NZXT case
Yes I made them, and no they're not ported.
The cleanness of sealed cabinet is better than the slight bass extension I would have had, and I can make up for that more than enough with the sub I also made.
I actually like it quite a bit. My Moto X doesn't have wireless charging or I would have just gone with that. The dock I got was just a basic "one size fits all" $15 dock off amazon.
It looks nice.
The wireless one is pretty sweet though. Nothing as convenient as picking up the phone, sending a reply to a text, then setting it back down. No cable hassle.
They have those adapters for the battery. Not sure if they're any good.
R8, h8, and fornic8.
Didn't you post on reddit?
Nice speakers, cable management could use some work, little bit on the "organised chaos" side.
Cluttered, crappy desk, shit name, speakers poorly orientated for stereo, poor cable management.
Always love your setup, a second monitor could be nice, a bigger desk as well.
Why was Jesus a pharmacist?
Always great. What do you think of suspending your side speakers from the bottom of the shelf? A second monitor with a mount might be a worthy investment.
unfortunately not, both those spots are only as wide as a CD case.
Honestly, even though they're speakers with horns, they're fine where they are. First off, their budget Klipsch speakers. Second, they're used for gaming mostly. Third, they're far enough away from my ears where it makes almost no audible difference to have them at ear level. I'm not too worried about it. I considered maybe just putting them on my desk at the far sides, but then I'd have no space for my DAC/headphone amp, headphones, and I'd need to relocate the computer. I do like your mount though. I need one like that, that can mount that low, for three monitors.
>Phone tier camera
How do I take better pics
That's a whole lot of space between the edge of your desk and your keyboard
9/10 Looks good except for that precarious subwoofer. Doesn't it ever get in the way of your legs?
Manage your cables
That's a cool monitor I love it
Can't say much, Simple, clean but a little bland. But that's just me.
That's a better picture, and I see now. If you had a second table to put the laptop on, or didn't need the laptop at your desk all the time, you could just place them down there.
I'm moving to a new place in a few months so I am postponing buying another monitor/new arm until I get there. I'll have a bigger desk area too which will be great.
Jesus was one of the first people in recorded history to demonstrate a topical drug. He rubbed mud on a guy's face and cured him of blindness. He also provided patient counseling for all kinds of other treatments prescribed by other doctors of the periods, characteristic of the current role of a pharmacist.
I took a new picture.
Really like the red color scheme you went with.
Also, I want the ducky more and more.
Please get a mousepad. Any is fine.
Oh, and a bigger desk, looks too cramped.
Get a mousepad. Post pics of your new desk when you're done. 4/10
This is perfection. 10/10
This site has nothing more to teach you.
Really would've been better without the food, but quite nice all in all. 8/10
What temps are you getting with that cooler setup?
Don't tell me you always have one of your speakers infront of your screen? 6/10
Good idea, I might try putting them on an extra chair that I've got, I'm moving in a couple weeks anyways and I'm gonna completely rebuild my station, so it's not really a big deal at the moment.
Most likely would muffle them and distort the sound pretty fairly, depending on how close to the monitor, and how much of the cones (or specific ones) are blocked and not blocked by the monitor.
Jealous as fuck of that Ducky Mini. Do you know if the LEDs can be one solid color, and maybe yellow?
Also your desk is suffering from lack of balance with all your tech being on the right side of the desk and its making it look really cluttered.
Wonderful as always n3n
potato pic, but neat otherwise i suppose.
any explanation as to why you have the soundbar?
would really have liked to see your case not in the picture. It's a bit too distracting because you have this really cozy vibe going on with everything and then bam sterile, pristine looking case that kind of ruins the mood.
You better not use that intuos for osu, i swear to god.
People who use CRT's are people who are either hipsters, have an actual purpose such as it was a spare which they're using for compatibility with an older device, or are poor.
The H440 seems to be really fucking popular.
I also have this case.
I have a small fridge next to my setup.
Also, shot of the window.
16GB RAM, i5 4690k @ 4.7ghz, GTX 780TI, MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo.
BenQ XL2411T monitor, Harman/Kardon Soundsticks III speakers.
Ah. I'm guessing this thing is only really used for movies? Never really seen a center cannel speaker like that before so it's a bit new to me. Thanks gatorade.
It's used in multi-channel setups, particularly with discrete audio channels.
In movies, most dialog will come from the center. In games, dialog and usually menus sounds and sounds that are (obviously) directly in front of you will play through it. Although, usually so will sounds that are directly in front will sometimes extend into the front left and right.
This is my first time posting in these threads, I'm interested in suggestions on how to make a small space feel less cramped and more cozy.
Very clean, everything looks right in place 10/10
I really like this one, if anything I would suggest framing that poster 9/10
The picture itself is grainy but the station is great, looks like a place where a person can get some work done.
What is that blue drink?
Top tier of what? They are just casual logitech tier out of the box 2.1, only they cost more than they sound. A lot of tech sites give them good reviews, but you won't find anything from an actual audio site giving an objective review on their performance. There is nothing special about them.
>Buying those translucent dildos
It's Mountain Dew Voltage. Pretty tastey, but I can't seem to stomach drinking more than one can per day. Probably killing me from the inside.
>would really have liked to see your case not in the picture. It's a bit too distracting because you have this really cozy vibe going on with everything and then bam sterile, pristine looking case that kind of ruins the mood.
Unfortunately I'd rather put up with having my case there over putting it on carpet and not having access to the IO (Which is on the right side rather that the top or left)
>I really like this one, if anything I would suggest framing that poster 9/10
Not worth framing a $10 poster IMO, if I ever replace it I probably will look into it.
I need to take a better pic with my new monitor
the monitors seem too far apart
I like the red theme but you also have a blue keyboard, green headphones, green mouse, and green mouse pad.
You probably don't care but I get OCD with that
Looks really good. I've always liked the solid white tubing for cooling.
The monitor set up is good as well.
seems like a function over form set up
I would relocate the speaker to the left and right of the monitor and try to tidy up the wiring
NO ZERO DAYS
I love that stand as always. Looks nice and clean.
9/10 would be 10/10 if you had another monitor
Looks like another clean set up
I think this would look 100 times better with a rug. It might help with blending the wood on the desk in with the floor.
Everything seems to match up pretty nicely 9.5/10
for what I see it looks like a 9/10 but the picture doesn't show much of the room
If you had keys the same colour as your headphone cord it would be 11/10
If your background somehow had some pink and green in it... it would help blend that in though.
Your computer would be better on the ground.
It might just be the photo but if you have chips in your desk just touch it up with a black sharpie
I have that same type of desk in another room
Nice colour scheme
The lava lamp doesn't fit though.
Buy yourself some zip ties and ties those cables up!
9/10 with cable ties
8/10 Definitely got that color scheme to work out for you. Lamp brings it all together too. Bravo
Nice watercooling. Got a 3570K, still haven't tried OCing yet. Kind of afraid to do it haha. Sexy speakers & woofer though. 7.5/10
NO ZERO DAYS/10
Joking aside, Still a solid 10 for you on account of The clean setup and that ambient lighting you got behind the monitor
Yours is a good 9. Good wiring on the top, and that's a sexy, almost bezel-free monitor you got there too. Might also look good if you got a pic with that recess lighting on.
Clean setup, mein neger on the rum&coke, Like the case. After seeing everyone else, I believe a new case is in order for me soon. 9.5/10
Definitely gotta work on that clutter. Do you have a tower, or is it the thinkpad?
Yours is a little too zoomed in, try backing up a bit to show more. Keyboard and mouse might look good if in the middle of the screens, unless you got no more slack in the cords.
Nice triple setup here. Decent cable management, definitely better than mine 8.7/10
So, decided to see what it's like with my Receiver up on the desk. Doesn't look too bad.
And yes, I like it cool
Thanks! The monitor is a Dell U2414H.
I'll think about adding a rug.
About my old red station, I occasionally would use sharpie on the desk.
i just upgraded to it from a tiny glass one, my tower has to be up here for now cuz i dont have solid wood floor and i dont want hair and shit in the psu, wondering if i can still fit 2 23/24 inch monitors on here
Don't know about that.
Audio quality is pretty good.
Also, is it just me or has the captcha system gone haywire?
I get like 2 15 letter words that are nearly impossible to make anything of.
Thought that was a kitchen counter at first with the way the lighting looks.
I need to work on my lighting.
I literally only have the ceiling lighting in the living room, nothing else.
If you had the one I had, perhaps. But the one you got with the drawers is around 5-7" less in width, so maybe not. I'm sure they're stands will fit, but you'll be sitting uncomfortably close to the drawers, and the monitors will probably hang off the desk slightly. Not the stands, but the actual screen.
Now THAT is sexy as fuark. You just earned yourself a 10 my good man
I really like your walls.
That's a great OC!
10/10, super appealing and clean.
I've had that chair, monitor, amp, and keyboard all before.
How's that new Corsair CLC working out for you?
pic is a little dated, got a new mic + headphones + stand
>let me just stare at the bezels of two monitors and then look down and stare at the crack between my desks
>boy i hate leg room
>while im at it i should run my mic wire to the front of my desk and then under it even though nothing else does
Damn, bro, all you have to do is move your eyes back and forth lol.
Legs go \ /, not | |
The position of the microphone wire lets me move it around my desk without having the cable getting caught on anything.
first build, pretty much first battlestation.
digging the red walls. goes with the case, not sure why the second monitor isn't next to the primary though 8/10
the u2414h looks insane with that stand, very minimalistic 8/10
corsair air 540 in white, excellent chioce 8/10
poptart wallpaper, why. 1/10
this looks insane, 4k monitor? ideal battlestation 9/10
Running windows 10 (it's REALLY good and stable)
Waiting for low noise adapters, it's gonna be good and I'm really excited.
Hahaha, I'm glad you recognized the HTC purple tint.... The room was really bright when I took that picture, that camera is shit....
The tabletop is actually something I found in my parents basement a long time ago, sanded it down (by hand, DON'T do this! Get a sander....) and gave it some oil! I'm really proud of it, it's gorgeous.
The legs are all IKEA
ADILS on the left, and ALEX on the right.

What is this stupid hugbox shit, fuck off retard
Either im late or someones been posting a shitloada bait
Here you go anon.
I can see several reasons that filename is valid, I just want to verify, it's not the t-shirt.
Cause "Nerd" shouldn't be considered a bad word anymore.
If someone were to call me a Nerd these days I'd laugh in their face. It's not insulting anymore. I guess that's how black people feel about the N-word, kinda.
-No ultra wide monitor , shitty speakers, headset
-No ultra wide monitor, cable spaghetti
+Nice custom loop and foot rest.
-Cramped, cable spaghetti, no speakers, wireless mouse
+Clean, nice decorated.
-Single monitor and it's not an ultra wide
-speakers not at ear level, single monitor and it's not an ultra wide
+clean, good looking
-shitty speakers and headset, ugly case
-shitty speakers and tn panel to the right? Yellowish white. Awful speaker placement.
-weeaboo, headset, no speakers(?), small mouse pad.
+Clean and good looking desk.
7/10 - 1 for all the weeaboo shit
- cable management, shitty speakers
+love the case, good headphones
-looks Cramped, single monitor and it's not an ultra wide, pc on a small desk like that
6.5/10 imho put your pc on the floor, center the monitor and have more light next time.
-speakers not at ear level, black like my soul, single monitor
+Clean and tidy, nice looking, well organised
>white keys on white table
I don't know why but it's AIDSing me.
I am waiting for some new caps to come, they are the same colors as yours sans red. Hopefully it will look better on my wood-pattern table.
>tfw no side panels on the computer
Finally replaced the PSU after the old one had been acting weird for the past couple of weeks.
Sometimes it'd turn on right away, but most of the time it wouldn't turn on until turning it on/off/on at the back several times.
Has anyone tried Seasonic RMA in Europe?
Their website is shit.
Here's one. From boards.4chan.org/g/thread/46597464
Yes its vaguely annoying that my screens aren't matched but at least playing on surround is pretty sweet. I also use them for archviz stuff and 3D modelling ( gotta spread all my dialog boxes somewhere).
Also why don't you guys get a fish tank? They're great having a little world to care for right on your desk. Just keep it far from your PC tower of course.
I just change half of the water once a week, I have a few litle plecos that munch most of the other debris and stuff in there. The filter has a foam thing that catches all the gunk from the bottom. In 5 months of having it it's not got green or cloudy or anything.
Besides fish are just so relaxing to watch.
>leave apartment for two-three weeks
>come back to starved-to-death fish and a shit-dirty tank
Maybe if I could set up a robot arm to pour in a couple of spoonfuls every day or so, I'd be less worried.
And for cleaning; do you just fill the tank with snails?
You'll still have to drain the tanks and put in clean water every now and then, right?
Too much maintenance and gearfagging for my taste in pets.
At least with a cat you can install a flap in the door so it can go outside.
It's also why I won't get a cat until I get a house to live in.
It's a Reef One Biorb Flow 30L
http://www.biorb.co.uk/products/product-category/biorb-flow-aquariums cost about £100 from ebay. Comes with ceramic rocks for the bottom, a foam filter with activated carbon pellets, a pump, LED in the lid, and if you get the tropical one you also get a heater and a thermometer. Pretty good deal.
Small tanks like this are only suitable for small fish and you should check that it'll support the amount of fish you're buying. I have 2 plecos, 7 cardinal tetras and a few neon tetras. That's about as much as it'll support. You also have to cycle the tank before putting fish in (you can do it with fish as well), look it up. It's about getting the bacteria to grow so the ammonia/nitrates don't get too high.
As for maintenance like I said i just change the water once a week, making sure to use the same temperature and put a couple drops of water conditioner in it (removes chlorine). I also feed them once a day, sometimes once every other day, just a tiny pinch of food. I add a couple of drops of fertilizer for the plants too. They're live plants which requires some work getting them settled but it's very easy to maintain now - it sounds like a lot but it takes 5 mins once a week and feeding them is actually fun so I don't count that as maintenance but it basically takes ten seconds.
/an/ has aquarium generals and they can point you in the right direction for getting started. It's definitely worth it, I love my fish, even if theyre only tiny.
I went away for xmas for two weeks, just put my tank in the kitchen and my flatmates fed them. Yes I also have a few snails in there, they're assassin snails though, they eat the tiny snails. It really doesn't get dirty very fast.
And no i only change half the water at once, doing more than that can stress the fish too much. You can use little gravel vaccuums if there's shit building up in the bottom.
Honestly it's nearly zero maintenace. It's partly because of the choice of fish, a goldfish would need a lot more water changing, a bigger tank, more cleanup etc Tetras are low-maintenance hardy, and have shiny colours.
Well at least you don't get nagged about cleaning the kitchen when it's someone elses mess.
I'd love to get a cat, I thought about getting one secretly (rent agreemeent doesnt allow pets) but I got fish instead because I figured theyre easier to justify if there is a problem with the landlord (ie, they don't make any mess).
7.5/10 simple but cozy
8/10 same chair in blue and simple.
7/10 lost points for shitty speakers and case but room is chill
9/10 speakers and receiver is mad nice. Do you have a sub?
7/10 vintage receiver that isn't digital
bit late this time around
nice guts. desk looks a bit worn, but rest is great.
its ok, not a fan of the desk. not much else going on.
jesus wasn't a pharmacist
everything you already know about
cool guitar. like the keyboard and the speakers
dat messy desktop. really not much going on.
nice desk. the monitors covering your posters/flag bug me, but it doesn't seem like that can be avoided.
what kind of tablet is that?
bit dark to see anything. everything seem super cluttered.
love the wall color. simple, seems crowded though
seems ok. not a fan of your furniture, i don't know why.
pretty bland. glass desk is meh as well.
i like it and hate it.
not much going on.
awesome desk. sweet keyboard and lamps too.
its ok. the tackboard looks terrible. nice lava lamp.
solid. the shelves dont' look that great but rest is good
said everything that needed to be said
lovely as always
cool desk. that speaker placement though.
its ok. bit of clutter all over the desk
that monitor is disgusting
If you're still here, it's some shitty thing from amazon. I wouldn't really recommend it if you're going for having monitors on the middle of your desk like I have here....
I like the minimalism, and your walls are really nice.
>9/10 speakers and receiver is mad nice. Do you have a sub?
Thanks. I don't have a sub yet, maybe when I move out I'll get one but I don't see the point of getting one now.
Your speaker setup looks great too, and I really like the Hepburn poster.
Im always so fuckin late
>tfw cleaning 40 year old belt gunk out of reel to reel
IT'S ALMOST FIXED
>dat radio setup
This is my first time I've posted in one of these threads. I'm going to update it soon, paint my walls, maybe get a standing desk or at least an L shaped desk
looking to upgrade from my shit audio setup soon as well
>tfw kid thinks that gameboy games are lame

>plebs will insult the ultimate mobile experience.
>be different guy
>rate everyone in thread and have a meaningful comment

>Muh lazy ass can't even reverse google
Great red/black contrast, edgelord.
What's that red spring thingy?
What's the thing in front of your keyboard? A vape?
Dunno, too simple.
Isn't that too little space for your mouse?
Why would you eat your chair, anon?
>looks at wallpaper
>"must be a lolsogeek"
Also, your headphone holder is 10/10.
Your microphone is interesting too. What do you use it for?
How does it feel to have failed, not only in life, but as a manchild?
Too boring, but ignoring that, 10/10
Nice setup, you should clean up a bit.
Is the Xbox controller worth it as a PC controlla?
i got a bunch of nintendo merchandise when i was young, and now i really dont want a lot of it since it just feels unnecessary. i got rid of a shit ton of it, but i like what i have right now. desktop pic is op though.
i use my mic for various stuff, mainly for recording over videos, but i might need to get a pop filter on it
do you wear cleats when you're sitting on the chair or something?
I wonder why we accumulate all this shit and post it to get ego-stroked by others. It's not like it makes us happy or anything. I have so much expensive stuff yet I barely use any of it and none of it has made me at all happier except for a brief hour or so when unboxing it.
Nothing special here.
Just clean, and functional. The table is something i cobbled together from plywood, until i can find something that suits my needs.
I know the table is ghetto as hell, but i build it myself, so i got that going for me which is nice.
Cable management is nonexistent, everything is hidden behind the monitors and behind the computer.
Normally it's not this tidy, i just cleaned up, and unless i post here, who is going to know?
+Skateboard to hide cables, feels too cramped
What headphones do you have?
Mic seems out of place
Really clean, love it
Love that clock
You should put the monitors at the same level
There are a lot of better music players out there anon
+Thinkpad, also you should add some more colours
-Alienware, how heavy is that thing?
Only rating the shitstations and giving them good ratings
Could benefit from cleaning up the wires, but that is just me. Also The triple monitor setup is legit but for aesthetics you should try to get them all level.
I plan on either getting a monitor arm and another monitor and removing the silver one on the far right or just getting another monitor.
Also I can't swap the desk out due to the desk being part of the wall. :(
A monitor arm would be a great addition. I was actually planning on getting one but opted not to for the time being
That chair looks comfy as fuck. Where did you get it?
sorry for the shit picture. My galaxy s2 just wont die and justify me getting another phone/camera
>tiny as fuck desk
what case is that? looks fuckhuge and I can't figure out why it needs to be so wide?
very functional! I like when people build their own stuff and make it work.
needs a cleanup desperately
>bright orange astros
>some sort of stuffed anime character
why do you need 2 keyboards?
I just recently got a new rig. So I was transferring everything over and making sure I set up everything properly. The second mouse and keyboard were hooked up to the old PC. They are now gone.
I bought the 540 right around the time it came out. The white one wasn't released till a few months later IIRC.
Corsair Air 540. It's a cube design so it's fuckhuge wide. I like it tho, it's easy to build in and fuck around with.
Got this one at Costco. It was like one of those off-clearance things where they bring in one skid of chairs, and when it's gone it's gone.
It's pretty decent. It wobbles back and fort like crazy, but i kind of like it.
it's always the same.
"hey look! the wacom pen has moved! it's in a woodern box now! oooh, new BS photo! r8 m8 h8 this is b8"

9.5/10, iron your curtains and do some more cable management
8/10, add something on the wall maybe
8/10, pretty neat, any plans on getting some nicer monitors?
The PC was a steal for €25. When testing it the seller said it had no video output, turned out one of the RAM modules was bad, €5 fix.
Next upgrade will probably be a 1080p screen.

All them real nice.
How into cables management?
>How into cables management?
1. Get desk with closed backside
2. Move desk 3cm from wall
3. Stuff cables behind desk
(4.) Spend all day untangling them when you need to replace/add equipment
Hope you enjoy your ultrawide monitor like I enjoy mine.
>How into cables management?
Get some hooks or those IKEA cable management things.
Get all your chords and run them through that
Cable tie multiple chords together
Plug them into machine.
why is this thread still going when
