>no material design
>hard as fuck captchas
>image failed to load: out of memory
>niggers stole my phone
>the last thing I had open on it was Clover
Oh god what if they start shitposting in my name.
It's a good thing those captchas suck, or else I'd be legitimately worried.
*were logged in.
Google gave you a cookie, most likely.
Or something google related did, at the very least. Can you honestly say you know the finer details of every single active cookie right now?
Seriously, when is he going to do the whole chain-like design
I hate only begin able to only have one thread and board open, but i cant even see the latest replies to that thread.
It drives me fuck crazy
And there is some weird glitch where i cant click on link to certain posts, but its only ever so often.
I would also like to choose my own colors and font colors.
Some threads gets pinned for no apparent reason which really annoys me
Where chain felt really open and never cluttered, chain feels cramped and restricted
I'm sorry, but I've just been busy with school and other stuff. I'm also kinda lacking motivation but that's another story.
>Hard as fuck captchas
Yes, and there is not a thing I can do, unless you give me your google cookies.
I've started some stuff. Google has been really lacking on documentation and support code for older platforms with material design. That's also why all of Google's apps aren't that good "materialized".
For example the toolbar still has a bug where the title size doesn't get adjusted on rotation. So apps like Chrome have this incorrect behavior (look at the settings screen). It's a minor thing but this really can't happen if you take design seriously. The worst part is no response from google for bugs like this.
Anyway I'm working on things but it's going slow.
Not contributing but thanks for letting me shitpost from my bed and toilet and workplace and thanks for letting me fap to gigs and webms in my bed and toilet and workplace
You're the best. You and falcon. If you ever come to Devon england then make a thread on g and I'll buy you some cider and I'll get my girlfriend to suck you off or something
>>You're the best. You and falcon. If you ever come to Devon england then make a thread on g and I'll buy you some cider and I'll get my girlfriend to suck you off or something
Or you can just donate to him.
I've been able to get it to accept fake cookies where I remove the identifying part and just send:Cookie: NID=67
I also have to send a referer to get it to work:Referer: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/fallback?k=6Ldp2bsSAAAAAAJ5uyx_lx34lJeEpTLVkP5k04qc
This is with Iceweasel + 4chan X (ccd0 fork) + Header Tool, with third-party cookies and cross-domain referers blocked. At one point I recorded the full headers I was sending, which are here:
Can you add an option to copy/share links to images and replies?
Why don't pinned threads have thumbnails if they're auto-pinned after you reply as opposed to being pinned manually?
>Google has been really lacking on documentation and support code for older platforms with material design
>actually bothering to support beyond ICS or even jellybean
>clover still doesn't let you sort the catalog by reply count
Dear clover dev please fix EXIF data on /p/.
Go to the board on a desktop and you can see how on posts with an attached photo there's a thing you can click to show or hide EXIF data. On clover, all that text just gets tacked on to the end of the post and there's no way to hide it so it clutters everything up.
Also I know captcha bullshit isn't really your fault but goddamn it's infuriating when it just breaks every few days. Thanks for mostly keeping up with it and fixing it pretty quickly, I know it's probably a pain in the ass.
Here's what I mean. It says click to show/hide but you can't actually do that.
Oh fuck me I missed his point actually
I thought he meant ending support on your app on newer Android versions. Not not supporting your app on old versions, which is what he meant. Sorry
Didn't someone already figure out the trick behind Google's new captcha only to get his github DMCAed by Google, Google emailing him to say that they would like to meet him, and the faggot telling everyone this only to say he's gonna go meet Google and despite the fact everyone telling him to tell them what went on at that Google meeting, the guy was never heard of from again?
I know this happened because I remember a thread on /g/ discussing this.
Did the faggot get employed by Google?
It doesn't exist as anything more than that one webm the guy keeps posting on /g/ and then refusing to give any details about it. You can't even download it anywhere. Just sign up for Clover's beta if you want, they're already going to have Material Design soon.
This is the kind of shit RMS warned us about!
Every time you fill out a captcha, it electronically verifies you as an individual.
It's like signing every post you make on 4chan, because google knows it was you who filled out that captcha.
>>Every time you fill out a captcha, it electronically verifies you as an individual.
>It's like signing every post you make on 4chan, because google knows it was you who filled out that captcha.
If you look at what kind of information the reCAPTCHA API collects you would see that it fingerprints your browser much the same way google analytics tracking does.
>Your individual devices MAC adress
>The page you're posting from
all get transmitted to the captcha provider.
So google can see that at 21:49 someone filled out a captcha on the page
therefore they know who posted at that time, and on which page.
This is similar to an electronic signature every time you make a post.
Google knows what you shitpost on 4chan.
they also know that if you use reCAPTCHA on another site, the user who filled out the captcha is the same.
This provides a nice means of tracking users across websites, and every time you fill one out you identify yourself.
The no captcha recaptcha requires cookies related to other google services and previous captcha results. Bringing up a web view in clover with just a the captcha less recaptcha will make you solve the captcha because this data is unavailable.
It would be super amazing cool if we could make the fonts whatever color we please.
Anything that makes it look less like 4chan at a glance saves the trouble of constantly trying to hide what's on my screen from other people on the bus.
Something about greentext being actually green just makes it a dead giveaway on any background, and I care very much what the diabetic homeless woman behind me thinks of my internet habits. If she found out, I'd be devastated.
Don't like it ? Improve it. Its open source.
But ohh wait its evil Java and the fact that nobody on /gay/ can actually program besides a few lines of hello world in obscure useless languages.
This is the dev. He has a github repo without files with an issue called "Miko is not released yet" for the lulz
>Yes, and there is not a thing I can do, unless you give me your google cookies.
maybe sound stupid but idk, what about use an account permission (obviously the google account) only for the captchas?
>no material design
Its real hard isn't it
Literally the only thing that is keeping me using Clover and not Chanu is that it lets me tap on thumbnails to load an image and ONLY that image, no gallery bullshit like Chanu forcibly preloading other images in the gallery even when I'm not looking at them even when I changed the setting to "never preload images" and wasting my mobile traffic.
Otherwise Clover sucks.
Is there any other app that treats images like Clover does?
Oh, and another thing about Clover is that it doesn't let me manually clear its cache within the app to clear out all the junk that accumulates over time and sucks up space on my 8GB of storage.
I'd honestly love that app if it actually was a natural progression of chanu
If it at least had image saving, and a watchlist I'd probably use it even without being able to post. It's just too barebones as is
The grid view is broken.
Themes are broken.
Features i added in this fork:
- Autoload videos on certain network types
- Share url to an image/video
- Share a post
- The floating button
Thanks a bunch, I like it much more than the regular clover in looks.
It's a little disappointing that grid mode and the themes are busted but its still good regardless. is there something I have to hit to enable the button in the bottom right though? I'm not seeing it pop up
Hi Floens. Is there any chance you could implement function to control the size of the cache and button to manually clear the cache, or option to display image information in post without needing to hit a button in a dots menu?
its just a another huge surveillance isn't it, for people logged in google they dont even need to fill a captcha, so its convenient and they intentional login and its clear that google logs every goddamn site you fill out a captcha
