clean and simple with a little spaghetti. 6/10
3/10. Where do i begin?
Shit filter, shit tech, shit chair, spaghetti everywhere, looks rundown as fuck.
Cozy but you need to up your tech game son. 5/10
everything else is decent 5.5/10
>This week on hoarders
Really nice collection of stuff, but the actual battlestation is pretty meh. 5/10
First time poster. I know I'll get a lot of hate for Saitek / Razer / dat ugly lamp, but rate?
>February 2015 is almost over
>still haven't got a new computer
>still not using my battlestation
Might as well wait to see what the next generation of MacBook Airs is like.
Beautiful desk. What's the maker?
I had the opportunity to buy a Steelcase very similar to that for a ridiculously cheap price, but unfortunately had to leave it for someone else to buy because I don't have anywhere to put something like that.
I don't think I could use one as a computer desk, though. Too high for me and the center drawer would kind of get in the way.
> the monitor is fine
> mouse is high tier
> keyboard is mechanical is god tier
> desk is big enough for one monitor
> tower looks retarded on your desk
> wallpaper doesn't matter
Actually shut the fuck up
Don't have a photo but I'll r8
Although rundown, with some cleaning it could be nice. 6/10
Nice lighting. I think a better keyboard and mousepad could make it look better though. 8/10
Could be de-cluttered. Would look better with a different mousepad although it matches the Tarantino box so I'm not sure if you would want to do that. 8/10
This could be really nice but it fails on a few levels. First thing you should do is move the tower off your desk. It looks tacky and doesn't leave you much room to move your mouse. That leads to the next thing of getting either a fulldesk mousemat or just a standard black one. I suggest a full desk one. Some new headphones could also do you good. Nice keyboard 8/10
Although its very cluttered it looks nice and I can see what you are going for. Getting 3 matching monitors would really improve it I think. Nice Game and Vinyl Collection. 7/10
I've always liked your keyboard. If you would remove the hat (I'm sure its not always there) and cleaned/dusted the mousemat it would look much better. Also some cable management couldn't hurt. 7/10 because I hate skull wallpapers
Is that a gaming laptop? Could be improved with selling the ps4. I think you could benefit from doing that, getting a new mouse, and upgrading your monitor. Also there is too much clutter going on. 7/10
Looks nice. Could be improved by a full desk mousemat instead of that ugly gaming one. The desk and lamp look very nice although I don't like the metallic looking circles in the corners. 7/10 good first post anon
I like this but it just feels empty to me. It could use a painting or a poster. I suggest adding more color aswell. 8/10
I love the matching speakers and desk. You could improve it by buying a small black mousemat and a better mouse. The one you have now looks fine though. Love the thinkpad and audio setup 9/10
I-I hope I helped you guys with some constructive feedback!
>You could improve it by buying a small black mousemat
I actually bought one of the Steelseries mousepads and it seems really smooth. I just haven't bothered to take a new battlestation photo because that's the only thing I've changed.
My MX310 has been a very faithful mouse (I've had it over a decade), but I will definitely look into getting something newer if I ever actually start using my desk setup again for any significant length of time.
I am a poorfag, but I would consider my NEC LCD2090UXi to be a good monitor. I just scored it cheap at a pawn shop.
How often do you guys clean your battlestation areas? These desks are always so polished and clean.
It's actually an LP. I have a few hanging up around the room, but thought this one was pretty interesting / at least matched the color scheme. Songs aren't nearly as SJW as the titles would suggest. Worth a listen.
Was late last thread, chroma key muslin is still up, m7 camera still shitty. Blah blah
Looks like a place you can just chill out and play some gaymes. Would come over.
How do you like that SilverStone case? I haven't seen to many people with it.
Destiny was and still is pretty trash.
Needs a better-matching lamp.
Little too plain.
One of my all time favorites. Inspired my planned set up.
>How do you like that SilverStone case? I haven't seen to many people with it.
I kind of wish I got a different case, just because the sound of the Corsair H60 pump is pretty loud and i'd rather have something like under my desk or further away from me to lessen the noise.
I love this little thing based on aesthetics alone, but functionality is pretty meh.
Going to eventually get another Alex drawer unit. Getting rid of the Ullrik. Laptop onry now.
Old person who doesn't care about computers/10
Looks like a fun place to hang out.
kawaii keyboard and nice pc case.
Tanker desk master race.
Wait, you have nothing to use now?
Looks like a teenagers station.
Good aesthetics anon.
Everything but speaker positioning looks good.
Hey, weren't you the guy with the suicide girl wife from the last thread?
Did you ever post pics?
>can I see them?
I love that look of your battlestation being put to good use, but God dammit please get a better camera, anon
I don't understand.
They're not high enough quality for it to make a large difference.
Its not so much about quality but its about the way high frequencies work, they are very directional. Just compare the sound in a standing position vs sitting. If you dont hear a difference its ok, you can continue with your life and not worry about all that.
Yeah, thread died shortly after.
I don't have many sfw pics, and this is really the only one with "proof" (see guitars and amp in >>46692477
Since everyone hates muh station, r8 muh waif, I guess
pretty awful op. crappy desk, crappy monitor, crappy cable management
not much there not much to say
has this changed at all since 2004
lovely as always
nasty desk. ok lamp. nasty shelves.
like the lamp. not a fan of glass desks but i like this one.
crappy desk. cool lamp. this is the definition of bland.
like how the speakers match the desk. but that 4:3 monitor
ok desk. meh wall color (i know this might not be able to be helped).
love the desk.
that's not how that works.
those speakers seem out of place (the big ones)
glass desk. cable management could be better
a lot of unorganized clutter. that stuff on the walls is ugly and so are your lamps/desk.
Spider IV, actually, and with the FPV shortboard, downloadable settings, extremely flat eq (that's a good thing for a modeling amp), and two aftermarket 12" Celestion blues, I'd say I can have pretty much whatever taste I want with that baby
And the wife says thanks
They're far away, and it's not that I can't hear the difference when they're at ear level, it's just there isn't enough of a difference for me to justify actually putting them down here level with me, especially when they're for gaming. Having them farther apart than closer together makes a much bigger difference compared to their height, in my opinion.
>Wait, you have nothing to use now?
Well, my T23 is still working, but I just use it in the living room nowadays. One of my power supplies failed so I'd have to move it back and forth which is a huge pain, plus it only has an analog video output which doesn't seem to work well with my monitor. It's just not worth the hassle.
I wanted to get some sort of desktop machine again, but the new Mac mini was a disappointment spec-wise, and I really don't want another non-Mac because I'm sick of Linux and can't stand Windows.
>like how the speakers match the desk. but that 4:3 monitor
4:3 master race. I genuinely prefer 4:3 and with it had remained the standard for computers and television.
Not too far from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Craigslist is basically worthless for anything I'm interested in within a 50 mile radius. Thrift stores are popular and occasionally have some good stuff, but they stopped getting in CRT monitors for the most part about six years ago. Back then the best I could find were 17" Trinitrons, which I regret not buying, but I thought I could find at least a decent 19". Since then I've only seen a few budget-tier junk CRT monitors, and one decent Diamondtron, but it was bundled with an old Dell computer for $50 and really not large enough or high res+refresh enough for me to replace my NEC with it.
eBay is not an option for CRT monitors for me. So many potential problems, and I can't afford to lose the shipping money.
I mentioned in my previous posts that thrift stores basically went bust for CRT monitors six years ago, and even before that I couldn't find anything but 17" Trinitrons at best. I'm a huge thrift store hunter and have been visiting them several times a week since 2008. I've also hunted many flea markets and antique stores.
As far as I can find there are no "business liquidation places" anywhere near where I live.
That wasn't me, but I do agree, none of your criticisms made any sense. It's a cheap IPS, mouse and keyboard are really good, wallpaper is invalid, and there is literally no reason for the desk to be any bigger for what I have on it. I guess the tower on my desk is legit, I like it, which I guess is good since I don't have anywhere else to put it.
There is a lot of space for the mouse, I have the keyboard way over on the right in the pic, but it really doesn't need any space for how much I move it. I have a steelseries qck mat, but have been going without it for a few days. I wanna upgrade my headphones but I don't know shit about audio and I never listen high quality mp3s so it probably wouldn't be worth it.
7/10 cuz 3d printer
6/10 way too much clutter but +1 for art
no wonder you live in a fucking shack
I know it's shitty. It is only temporal while my home is fixed. I am slowly restoring the desk but I need it for the computer.
I've seen your pictures in over 1000 threads honestly. What do you do? Where do you live? Age?
I feel like you've been in the shack forever man, why can't you afford to move at least to a cheap apartment with a friend?
What kind of fucking work why are you so short and sketch
Like other then sucking dick or collecting panties/poptart boxes? Get a trade bro you will make enough to at least move out
well I'm out. Best luck to you sir, you will catch a break
Most modern CRT monitors and TVs automatically degauss when they're powered on, and that's sufficient to take care of any magnetism they encounter in typical environments.
Extra degaussing or manual degaussing is only necessary in extreme cases, and such cases should be obvious if they ever occur.
Degaussing when there is no visible issue with the monitor will do nothing but provide a little entertainment and zap a little bit of life out of the degausser. What you display on the monitor has absolutely zero effect on the monitor becoming magnetized.
crap pic i dont know where you get off starting a thread with such a crap pic. messy wires. protruding computer. stinky flattened-cushion computer chair gross. silly cheap speakers and monitor just cheap and an awful start.
relaxing. peaceful. cravin some wallart. lil plain. get a g*dd*mn 2 dollar mousepad Z199MOUSEPADRXVCY at *rtsc*w
kinda neat but glass allows chi to flow too quickly through the space be careful. nice lookin mousepad too nice colors. badass lamp. plain walls & who the heck even has a webcam anymore what is this.

theres that desk again heh
>Degaussing when there is no visible issue with the monitor will do nothing but provide a little entertainment and zap a little bit of life out of the degausser. What you display on the monitor has absolutely zero effect on the monitor becoming magnetized.
ah so degaussing is different from preventing images from burning into the CRT?
like if you keep the monitor on 24/7 with the same background
No that's totally a real thing, my high school had their logo and the classroom monitors that were left on 24/7 and not displaying other shit had the damn logo and desktop burned in and ghost over on anything you tried to do
Trying figure out where the fuck I should put the PS4. The platform the PC is on doesn't count since the AC is too short.
Simple and cheap. I payed 80$ for the whole setup. \m/
Having friends is nice.
Degaussing is used to reduce magnetism, which can cause color purity and geometry issues. Absolutely unrelated to burn-in, which is caused by uneven phosphor wear. The only way to prevent that is to not leave static images on the screen for extended periods, and there's no way to fix it once it occurs.
It's very much a CRT thing also. Plasma displays can suffer from both temporary image persistence and permanent burn-in. CRT displays only suffer from the permanent kind, but with high quality, modern CRTs it was relatively rare from what I've seen. Most cases I've seen have been on video monitors that displayed the same images and/or timestamps 24/7 for years. I've only seen a few cases on computer monitors.
How do you drop $1500 at the casino without cutting your losses and walking away. How do you have $1500 to blow like that? Are we talking about imaginary money and there's some sort of casino system in dota, or is this a real thing that happened.
when you hold up a strong magnet to a CRT it temporarily (hours or days, maybe permanently) screws up the display. Degaussing sort of re-aligns the magnetic field and can reduce the distortion, bringing the picture back to normal.
See that touchpad keyboard? It's mechanical.
>and a webcam
It's shit. It's ugly and dirty and you don't have a desk and you could have afforded one if you didn't buy all that branded trash.
Living at a buds house currently no space for a desk, i was given the mouse. Nzxt is the fuckin bomb i spent 40 on the keyboard 60 on the headset webcam is for gf
i aint even mad
This is badass. 10/10, would do work at. I gotta get some of those component shelves.
I like to keep my electronics workstation separate from my internet machine, though. Everything gets greasy and dirty around flux, and resistor leads end up everywhere, and occasionally my solder sucker likes to spray a million crumbs of monkey metal upon release and it's not conducive to a pleasant posting environment.
What sort of electronics do you work on, mostly? Are you a computer repairman?
Thank you. I mostly repair and hack power electronics. You should totally check out my Youtube channel, https://youtube.com/user/FFcossag
>I like to keep my electronics workstation separate from my internet machine, though. Everything gets greasy and dirty
Once you have a thick enough layer, it doesn't matter any more. That picture is just of my workbench computer, though, its purpose is to be there in case I need to configure something with a serial port.
It's starting to show a bit of age, in that I'm getting lower framerates now on very high-to-ultra settings now, but nowhere near unplayable or unsatisfying results. If you can get a newer i5 for a close price, you might as well do it. You'll probably be happier either way though.
My room is tiny and shit
You really don't want to be running an exit node if you're in the states; the burden of proof will be on you to prove it wasn't you who was browsing CP from your IP address.
Is that hand drawn death note fanart on the wall? On the one hand, it's a perfect imitation of a teenage weaboo's bedroom wall; on the other, I just threw up in my mouth.
So basically don't do it. Well then, I uh... might just throw it out then.
I didn't think it would be bad to run the node until you guys pointed it out like this. I feel as though you guys just saved me a court case.
I mean, people do run them and for the most part it's fine, but there's that element of risk and you can get Seriously Fucked Over if you get nailed for viewing or distributing child porn.
It's been a while. Finally got a decent portrait monitor for cheap :]
The new mic case and fig should be here tomorrow. yay.
yes it has. what rank m8?
It looks a bit messy for my taste.. and all the different colors just don't go well together
I like the color coordination you have going on.
You don't have anything that needs to be changed.
so what's with the projector screen/blinds in behind your setup?
>tfw 0 replies.
I don't usually like gaymur peripherals but everyone has different needs. I like that you didn't buy the over the top flashy led stuff though. We definitely have different taste in grils though.
Beautiful lighting in that room. It could look much better if you tie up those cords though.
nm bro hbu?
>no $2000 speakers
>no $1200 headphones
nah it's simple and looks good
neat.. is that IE?
too messy dude
I like that desk
10/10 would drink beer and watch korean cartoons with
>not plugged in
gaymer girl detected.
stickers on your rig?
it looks good dude. What camera are you running? I need to pick myself up a tripod some time soon.
You're near one of the biggest IT markets in NC then. Hit up one of your local SMB MSPs and see if they have any they're ready to sell from project work they've recently completed.
3.5/10, get rid of that left monitor and replace it with a plant. Wasted potential, get a plant and it's at least 9/10
Room looks well lit, 3/10, could get more plants.
Tons of potential for green, lush plants, 4/10, could be raised to 9/10.
That's a lot of mess for not even having one plant, 2/10
Holy fucking shit, all the plant potential, 3/10 in current state, spice it up a little and it's a 10.

Oh hey I think I got the same monitor, for like $15.
poverty alert, get ready for backpain in your twenties
looks comfortable to work with, the lamp does everything
poor mouse :(
damn i'd love to discover your vinyl collection
as cute as always, i'd love to meet you one day in my lifetime, even if its just a blink of an eye
it looks so empty :(
nice taste of speakers
your monitor doens't look tilt even, maybe it's just on optical illusion, otherwise good setup
why is under your raven an ugly piece of wood?
lava lamps are still a gay indicator for me
ugly setup but nice plate to work with
poverty strikes hard
you know how to spend your money thoughtful, good choice for poverty chromosomes
crowded as fuck mate. not comfortable at all
if i would be that friend, these would be gifts
poverty is strong with this, good thing razer taught kids like you well what matters for gaymen
looks bretty comfortable for me. there are a vast of options to make it less crowded, a folding bed which is attached to your wall would be a starter, otherwise get rid of stuff you will never use, hoarding things is the worst if space is limited
isn't this one of those 2000$ office chairs?
>>46697033 is it the Acer S277HK 4K monitor? bretty expensive, i myself wouldn't trust in acer though, i trust in LG IPS and Samsung PLS/OLED

gonna take new pictures when 21:9 monitor arrives next month
i thought as long as the triforce is visible it's ok :(
is that in australia - brisbane - cleveland - raby bay?
if so, i would have been your neighbor for almost a year.
>tfw I won't get a cat until I get a house to live in
Even if my renting contracts allowed it, keeping a cat in an apartment isn't something I'd do.
>isn't that one of those $2000 chairs?
no idea, one of my buddies stole it from an office supply closet.
Nobody really seemed to care about it.
>stickers on your rig?
