finally went ahead and did multicolour visualiser because that was the most productive thing I though I should do.
Also, who said Savant could into lyrics?
BAD SAVANT, BAD go back to your autism stimulation noises you used to make
meh, just figured out i3, bretty nice
its 4pm here you retard
"once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404."
>his window manager doesn't have frames with gaps, padding, inner borders, outer borders, and individual layouts
>shit firefox theme
>that top bar
the font is nice.
If you're going to use 3DPD wallpaper at least pick a tasteful one.
Because I watched it two seasons ago when it aired.
cool riced desktop.
took me all day just to install this shit
this is too many text editors
>his window manager can't float arbitrary windows and tile at the same time because the developer is literally autistic
>his window manager doesn't even have tabs for hidden windows
>hidden windows in tiling wm
also you are i3 fagget right?
Considering installing GNU/Linus again, but not sure which distribution to use since I've been out of the game a while.
Things I'm interested in learning about:
virtualization (particularly kvm/libvirt)
systemd (never even used a system with it!)
I'm not asking you to give suggestions, I'm probably going to use CentOS I am just typing all this out to pass the time. Destiny refresh is at 3 am so I got 3 hours to kill
That feel when OS X will never have Linux font rendering
And just for good measure since I'm a worthless piece of shit
Might as well post my actual desktop too
The colors and everything, my god. That is really fucking slick. The text looks brilliant.
I'm a Windows guy, through and through, but I can't deny there is something just nicer about the way this looks. Fuck.
It just looks like I'm responding to myself.
It didn't look that great in real use sadly.
Why aren't you using Microsoft Linux, /g/?
Yeah I'm starting over using the tool RedHat suggest (Fedora's) because the one I was using seemed to stop halfway through but I'll post scrots some day. It won't be anything special and I don't plan on ricing much.
>actually buying RHEL instead of using CentOS
holy fucking lel, does it at least come with hand holding tier support?
fuck man, I hope you like outdated packages and having to compile everything because of it.
No actually it comes with ``self support"Order Details:
Description : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop, Self-support
Item : RH0844913
Contract Number: *removed by me*
Service dates: 24-FEB-2015 through 23-FEB-2016
Quantity : 1
also I think my flash drive is just fucked because the whole explorer has dead and nothing is being written to disk any more. Might have to buy a new one or some dvds tomorrow or something
And in case anyone wants the wp.
Did it yesterday out of lack of decent gentoo wallpapers. Don't know if it's any good.
>decide to try unity again
>mfw it's still shit
>how long has it been there now, 3 years? damn
loldude im 9 ofc im a virgin
Landverrader. Vroeger wisten we wel raad met jullie soort.
broken here as well
yikes 4chan is unusable without a nice extension/addon
Ahh, that would make more sense.
Naw, it's just a squarespacee website. My friend got an account and then never used it, so I stole it from him. Gonna have to check out ghost though. It looks pretty nice.
I configured mpv. I really like it.
Pretty decent actually, I don't love the tabs and the dock icons but its a decent start to an osx rice.
The title bars and new | 1 (tmux?) things are pretty unneccacary and the bar just doesn't fit, especially because of the icons on the right.
Keeping it simple, nothing to really rate.
I don't love these terminal multiplexers, ricing iceweasel is impossible but removing the useless title bars could save some space.
I preferred your old wallpaper, a bit less contrast between your bar, borders and wallpaper with this one.
I still like it, although the clock on the bar still seems impracticle. Do you need 'shudown' in your menu if you can press the physical button?
That default font is horrible, and please stop hacking.
I think it would look even better if you removed the line at the top of your terminal. Other that that, very nice.
laptop broke so i had to use my old laptop for uni, which i havent used in over a year and since i last browsed g
i regret ever visiting this place
Pretty good, but I think that making the font spacing one pixel smaller would improve it a bit.
I think that the colours are a bit too vibrant, considering they are only seen in a few areas. Perhaps make your bar more colourful or desaturate your colours.
Not christmas, but nice rice anyway, I'm warming up to osx rices a bit.
In my opinion, not enough contrast. I think that it all looks a bit whitewashed.
Good taste in music.
Browser space wasted, and the >> looks a bit funny.
Nice, the brown terminal colour is a bit dark in my opinion, and the firefox and 4chan rice doesn't really fit at all.
I think that the font doesn't fit, especially so close to the taskbar. Perhaps use monaco or something?
Perhaps remove the bar icons and change the bar font? Other than that, nice rice.
Bar looks a tiny bit messed up on the right. Other than that, decent.
Music colours in the bar don't match up
Bar font doesnt match up, 4chan css doesn't either.
why slanted tabs
I like it bright. Nice as always
When will you freshen up and do a new rice?
>not using Wayland as your window server
>not using Gnome 3 as your DE
>not using Fedora as your OS
Thanks for the free beta testing shitlord.
>still using linux
>still using systemd
>lol at the font rendering, is it 2004?
you are right, I was changing things around and forgot my antialias.
is ubuntu font better?
How do you make your Qt software use the GTK+ icons? Is there a way which doesn't involve exporting theDESKTOP_SESSION=gnomevariable and using gconf-editor (I'm afraid it will apply all the other settings, not just the icons)?
i played with it late last year, it works well, it's just missing the tools X has
i should see what i need to do to get my tv working with it, i didn't really look into it
RHEL isn't free, that's right. but the sources are freely available (as the GPL demands it), CentOS is a completely free version of RHEL based on the same sources, just with the artwork replaced (as they're copyrighted)
buying RHEL gets you their support
because it's like debian stable in the sense that it focuses on highly stable enterprise server/workstation use, making it good for servers and workstations that don't need to have the latest versions of everything
most desktop linux users prefer to have the latest versions of things to play with
I rode down a big hill on my Heelys today.
>half the letters missing in the word Terminal in his menu bar
Although now I'm using "Slight" font hinting instead of "None" in gnome tweak tool. It's less blurry thus easier on the eyes.
That's a wayland bug, my retarded Red Hat friend. No problems under normal X.
Can't go wrong with xubuntu.
switching to spring colorscheme next week.
I can't wait.
