People don't realize that they may think they are virus free, but they aren't.
If you don't download shady thing, doesn't mean you've never been to a shady website by accident, that this suspect website didn't have some harmful script and that you're infected.
clamav is the only free as in freedom AV solution that is relevant these days. its also the only one i would recommend.
per this its one of the lesser evils.
common sense doesnt defend against security threats of any sort, as a result suggesting such is a sign of incompetence.
suggesting microsoft security essentials is just as bad if not even worse due to resources usage and the false sense of security.
anything free is fine for anyone here

in that order all paired with Common Sense 2015
