man these things are beautiful
people don't realize all the shit they can learn and do with a good ol ti-84
If you're going to get a graphing calculator, get an HP Prime. Once you go RPN you can't go back.
Damn that looks nice. I'm stuck with a TI-83+. Got it for $5 though so I can't complain.
IBM was way ahead of their time with this. Too bad the actual hardware was a failure
been looking for one of those for quite a while. still got my 50g though
This is the greatest computer ever made.
I carry one of these with me pretty much everywhere.
how vintage can i go without derailing?
does audio and non computer electronics count?
I still use Ubuntu 10.04 with GNOME 2 as primary OS, but on a T23.
I loved my T42 but the original backlight turned pink and the replacement I got turned out horrible (greenish and uneven), so I gave it to my dad and took my old T23 back which he had been using.
My dad still uses the T42 as his main machine, but it has the loose GPU failure now and the graphics go all wonky after it warms up. RIP in pieces, old friend.
Have some sexy, non-electronic 1930s technology.
From the early 1970s. Clock radios were once a work of art.
Mechanical technology is the best technology.
Old american mechanical technology from the best time in american history is even better technology.
nice meme except that Apple copied Sun's hardware design
what the fuck no
youre legally retarded
looks like a cheap plastic piece of shit
I have very fond memories of using calculators in high school. I still use this one to this day. RPN is just superior
>one register visible
>literally deprecated by the 35s
Go fuck yourself
Nice try, but the technology inside that watch is ugly as sin. And the style in general reeks of mnlmst tryhard faggotry. Mechanical or go home.
Yeah, it's a pretty common thing with mechanical watches.
It's called a tourbillon, or in that case, a gyroscopic tourbillon. It rotates the balance wheel through all possible positions on a 3 dimensional axis in order to counter gravity's effect on its rotation and increase accuracy.
Its real function is actually just to show how good a watchmaker is at making watches. Dickwaving, basically, since modern mechanical watches have gotten so accurate that tourbillons hardly have any effect at all.
This watch is an example of a regular 2 dimensional tourbillon.
And yes, that is a scale model of the moon.
