Tech related things that annoy the living shit out of you.
>People that use the scroll bar instead of the mouse wheel
>People that download and install search bars and then complain about the program you installed on their pc.
>people that can barely use a computer for browsing, facebook and emails and buy Macs.
>anything including social media
>people who decide to show a youtube video during a presentation, but don't have adblock
>people who tell you to "scroll up" when then want you to move down the page
>double click everything
>searching in the address bar (this used to not work, but browsers automatically turn that into a google/big/whatever search now)
>having huge ass icons
>not using proper resolution
>installing toolbars and adware
>prebuilt "gaymen" PCs
>any hardware labeled as "gayming"
(I know that gamers spend a lot of money so they try to market stuff as gaymin but it's cringy as fuck)
>when manufacturer PCs come with shitload of bloatware
>when people use antiviruses in 2015
>when people use stuff like "advanced pro registry fix0r maest0r defragler driver downloader max turbo fast easy top of the line award winning microsoft approved utility"
>not sending stuff that shouldn't be edited as .pdf
>taking photo of the computer screen instead of screenshot
>Tech-illiterate gaming friends
>People who insist they know more about computers than you, but still use Vista
>The one guy who keeps bricking his machine because he doesn't know how to install parts correctly, then does it again the moment you leave him alone
>Coworkers who insist that they need to keep using their specialty mouse of 25 years that now requires 4 adaptors and legacy drivers to run poorly on their new machine, then have the gall to blame you for their ongoing tech issues
Oh yeah, and I'm not even IT, just the only guy who bothered reading the manuals. I wanna hurl.
Windows XP, man. My workplace has god-knows-how-many computers that have Pentium 4's and CRT screens.
I had to make sure a Python program worked on all of my company's lab computers. None of them did, but the program worked perfectly on my Windows 7 machine in my office.
>boot up computer
>54 desktop icons
>boot up computer
>see that there is stuff in the Recycle Bin
>300gb to be deleted; some stuff is over a year old
Not really tech related per se, but:
>go on Goybook
>some guy left his FB page open
>his girlfriend makes a status: "Hacked by Anonette xD"
Yeah, yeah... autism, etc. Still makes my jimmy jams rustle in the breeze.
>People who insist they know more about computers than you
I fucking hate this.
Some time ago a classmate of mine wanted some games (cs, warcraft 3 ...) and I offered to "download" them and set them up and stuff. Then comes this faggot with a shitty CS 1.6 CDs full of bloat that crackers put in their games, also my friends AVG was catching stuff from the CD and he wanted 10€ for that crappy CS 1.6 install...
Because common sense isn't in the IT budget.
>inb4 "linux is free retard"
Yeah, I'm sure IT would love walking through each and every tech-illiterate how to install ProComm 98 on linux.
this will blow your fucking mind
this will blow your mind
have some self-respect and use superior FOSS clients like qBittorrent
>using non free software
>using a band aid to hide ads
People giving me thumbnail sized images of their logos to print on banners, refusing to pay to have it vectorized and then complaining when it looks like blurry ass.
>When anything steals my keyboard focus
>When I can't change a window size
>When I can't move a window because it has a popup window associated with it
Fucking computers, man. I am the user. The computer is not the user. The software is not the user. I AM THE USER.
>using outdated software
>being jewed this hard instead of using one of many superior free clients
