I've already downloaded OS X and installed it :^)
I'm not sure what to get
These three are the only ones I need for sure
I also downloaded BetterSnapTool for that snap feature in Windows.
Anything else anon?
Word Processor: LibreOffice (Writer is the best, the rest sucks)
Window snapper: Spectacle (Enable start on login)
For running non-ported software: The standalone port of Wine that doesn't require XQuartz
Package Manager for libs and developer programs: Homebrew
I use OS X 10.9.5 on a T420. Everything but the SD card slot works. Yosemite works as well but Mavericks seems to consume less battery (usually 9 hours of browsing/server maintenance from one charge.)
>on macbabby OS
Thank you anon, much appreciated.
I'm legitimately more productive on OS X because of how little I can do on it. I'd never buy an actual Mac but having a separate partition when deadlines are approaching really help because my self control sucks.
Only applel could take a UNIX like OS and make it even shittier than Windows. And only a moron would use it and delude themselves into thinking it isn't the shittiest commercial OS in existence.
>apply for job at google
>many interviews later finally get it
>first day they give me a macbook running OSX (standard for all employees wtf)
>flip my shit and run around the office screaming how stupid macbabby OS is
>security comes and boss says I'm fired
>you can't fire me I quit
>tip my fedora and leave
>that is the image they used to represent Linux
>moron spreading FUD
>implying he isn't right about HFS+
that shit has been broken for a long time, most likely before you even your joined your weird technocult and started worshiping shiny toys
Funny part about that tidbit that macfags always leave out since they don't know a single CLI command is that Applel used the UNIX cert solely as a marketing gimmick to try and distance themselves from the unholy piece of shit that was Mac OS 1-9 that they couldn't make stable for decades.
Then after they found out none of their customer base even knew what the fuck UNIX was, they just completely dropped it and hoped no one would notice they completely ignored POSIX:2004/2008 and are recerting for a decade old spec.
