>.NET went open source
>SSDs soon to replace HDDs
>Firefox is still a single process, 32bit browser.
because it takes almost 3 seconds to restart the browser and automatically reload all the pages I had open before
yes, better switch to some chrome that runs like 3 billions processes by default +n processes where n is the number of pages I have open
Chrome is a botnet programm.
You can insult all browser, opera, firefox, icecat, aurora, linkx, lynx, Chrome is and still remain a browser taking all your information and more.
You trying to say firefox is more shitty than that to show that chrome is not that bad.
Can a mod delet this thread and all this troll? thx.
it's called threads dipshit, multiprocess is fucktarded and a waste of resources.
also it's 64 bit too.

A N Y D A Y
It's good that way.
why would I want to watch gay iPhone smileys that only 15 year old girls use?
Immersive visualization != virtual reality!
I'm so fucking sick of this bullshit. Just cause you strapped a screen to your fucking face doesn't mean shit, it's not fucking VR.
I like Firefox and nothing you autistic faggots can say will change that :*D
>using 32bit browser
>not knowing that Firefox is 32bit because Windows 64bit is such a shitty patch on top of Win32
Chaika on the frontpage!
It runs OK, the only trouble I get is with some java applets I have to use at work to sign documents with my cryptographic token.
Been only using the 64bit on Windows for a few days, tho.
The simple fact is that low bit depth on color channels do severely limit the actual amount colors you can display in a single image. 128 bit color, which I would take to mean 32 bit per channel RGB + Alpha, is of course an absurd amount of color, but something like 12-bit or 16-bit per channel rather than the current 8-bit would create a noticeable difference and plenty of people who are seriously into display technology know that.
Please /g/, help me. I tried switching to chrome but I fucking hate it. I want to go back to firefox, even though its a shit company, but firefox and 4chan x refuses to load captcha.
Ive tried reinstalling 4chan x, grease monkey, updating FF, clearing cashe, clearing cookies, turning off noscript and nothing changes it. Its not a known issue either so i dont know whats happening.
Anyone got any ideas?
To me, that guy in the video is saying:
>we should capture infrared and ultraviolet light information and store that in huge files
>even though we will never be able to see it
>then we will need a hardware implemented transform filter just to throw that information out and display what should have been captured in the first place
>inb4 too stupid to post in /g/
>Firefox is still a single process
Because it should only have a single process? Separating each tab into a child process is just a lazy way to make up for bad software design.

they feel superior when they have to compile their freedom as in freedom software before they can use it, in this case chromium
there's actually no difference, they just want to hate
just to annoy some autists here, I have installed, ff, ff de, ie, chrome and chromium
but I only use ff
Bit depth is NOT about UV and IR.
Now he does says a lot of things. But the general point is that bit depth is important to more closely approximate reality on screen. The reality is that the cutting edge of digital photography cannot yet be seen by any display currently available, at least not by consumer grade displays.
Say you go to Vegas and take some photos the displays we have today can't actually display neon light as it is in reality. Like, yeah we can recognize a neon light as a neon light mostly because we know what a neon light looks like but if we were to make a real life comparasion between a photograph of a neon sign being diplayed on a TV with an actual neon sign being right next to it, nobody would argue about which was the actual neon light. However if a high enough bit depth and good enough displays technology, people would actually have a hard time deciding.
Use another fork of 4chan X like ccd0
It has an option to force to load the non js captcha, also if you use Policeman or RequestPolicy you have to enable scripts from 4chan.org to joogle.com
I've never needed to compile either Firefox or Chromium on any platform. Firefox has a self contained generic Linux build that works on pretty much any distro. Untar into a directory in your home, create a shortcut, and done. Chromium, when I use it, I've generally just got out of the package manager.
> However it's actually Windows 10 that deserves partial for this news, as Mozilla apparently believes Microsoft may drop x86 support entirely with its next OS version.
Ohohoho what a bunch of fucking faggots.
How can a team of devs make themselves look so goddamn incompetent? Holy shit.
My best guess is it's monetary. A dirty port to 64-bit would be unacceptable for Mozilla, but the time and money going into a proper 64-but mode would probably outweight the benefit gained from doing so.
It's like why some environmentalist organizations still have punch-card computers and why walmart still uses dial-up to register your fishing license.
>Bit depth is NOT about UV and IR.
It was meant as an analogy.
Interesting point about neon lights, although I suspect the neon "effect" can't be accurately captured and displayed using static images.
My point was, as someone said in a different thread, people can't distinguish between too similar colors (something about delta E < 4), so I see no reason for displaying them differently.
As a comparison, I can't tell the difference between an LG G2 (1080p) and LG G3 (quad HD) displays, at a reasonable distance.
Future technology may prove me wrong, though.
How's it a shitty patch? AFAICT it's a 64 bit adaptation of Win32, with a thunking layer to support 32 bit processes. Only really idiotic part is naming of a few things, like 64 bit stuff being in system32 and 32 bit stuff going in syswow64.
Besides going over 4gb of ram, which people want to do.
Make a gradient from black to 100% green all the way across your screen. Unless your gradient tool is set to dither, you'll see steps.. Our eyes can see more than 256 steps between black and a full intensity color. This is the value of 10 bit color. I'm not sure if anything past 10 bits has any value other than having excess fidelity during editing.
32 bit Java.
It usually works, but sometimes crashes the tab. Upon reloading, the documents are signed, though.
Can't really pinpoint the cause, but it's not about 32/64, it's some bug in Dev. Edition. It crashes on 32bit version too.
Not sure what you're on about m8.
>still a single process
Faggot retard firefox user here.
What's the advantage of having a 64 bit browser?
> not using a custom program to compile HTML into raw ARMv7 Assembly which you compile by throwing foot balls at the exact rotational speed of each command and then using the friction between the football and air to determine which opcodes to use. this program is then run and it will use the speakers which you remembered to put in the raspberry pi 2 you remembered to buy which will release a tone at a very specific frequency which will cause butterflies around the globe to come to your basement and spell out the page with your cheetos that missed your mouth
get out of here you faggots
everyone knows that it's netscape or bust
>restart the browser and automatically reload all the pages I had open before
I might be the only one doing so, I don't care, but I have a few less important (important to read/use them, but not to bookmark them) webzones "remembered" in the last session recovery thingy in FF. Each time I'm turning the browser off I need to go back to the start page and recover them so they could be remembered again for the next day, when I do the exact same and not read them for one more day.
I fucking hate myself for doing so, but can't stop.
