Old thread is kill.
Love these threads :^) rate my desktop
thing is, you're either going get a video game desktop or anime desktop. anyone with video games gets told to return to /v/ by newfags trying too hard to fit in on /g/ so nobody bothers to post video games.
Is it possible to keep all of my dotfiles in ~/.config? Currently I have a bunch just sitting in ~/ and I'd rather move them into their own directory, but then the programs themselves can't see them and they revert to default settings or just throw a hissy fit.
Posting old one because lazyness
>still learning C++
self improvement is masturbation
>Daily reminder that if you aren't using lo/g/os, you're a complete pleb and shouldn't post in Deskop Threads...ever.
obsessing over video games is exclusive to little kids and manchildren, though, so i can see that
nothing wrong with playing them, anyway, any hobby seems useless to other people anyway
same thing with obsessing over anime
im not saying a wallpaper of a video game you love is bad, but if only the wallpaper differs from the default (or only very small, insignificant changes have been made) you're better off posting on /wg/
I like it, but why do you have 2 taskbars
you are jelly my waifu is better than yours
I should really stick on zsh or a tiling manager one of these days
Just how I like it. Functional.
Current setup on Linux Mint 17.1.
Cinnamon ain't half bad!
This guy has the right idea
Okay, tried harder. I'll admit my last one was dogshit, colours/fonts were trash.
Yeah, I dunno why you're not using .Xresources.
Same thing for me, too. I feel like my .xinitrc stopped working properly, or I didn't set it up properly, because I was trying to set the DPMS mode off in X.
You can use:xrdb ~/.Xdefaults
To apply changes, or -merge if you don't want to destroy unset settings.
It could be your display manager is being a piece of doo-doo and not saving your settings the way you had it before. I don't use a display manager myself, just "startx" after I log in to a TTY, and I usually have to use xrdb to apply changes, or every time I (re)start Xorg.
Ooooh that wall looks good.
sudo xrdb ~/.Xdefaults
seems to do the jerb. no idea. but good enough.
like the new colors?
I couldn't find what you were looking for anon, I thought she was rather nice to everyone besides tomato throughout the series.
I really like these desktops!
thats was a cool album!
Also, do you or does anybody have any idea why I can't get this part to work?@-moz-document url("chrome://browser/content/browser.xul")
[ . . . ]
Basically, I want to make sure that I don't theme the Webpage at all. Do I even need to do this?
The thing is I know that userChrome.css can be used to theme Websites, too. I guess maybe the first line that says "there.is.only.xul" is probably the thing that I only need, right?
Holy shit, sorry, I'm retarded.
userChrome.css - Customize the interface (the chrome links)
userContent.css - Customize the Webpage (content)
Sorry, I should have done my research first, but I learn shit in such a stupid way.
just polishing my arch install, coming back to mother linecks after years on windows
working on some (stolen) css
I think my bar is the odd one out at this point
Then you might enjoy my Note 3

"i run X server as root"
"i think creating symlinks reduces the overall number of files"
press ctrl+H in pcmanfm to hide and unhide files. passing alternate config arguments is an unnecessary nuisance and you'll have to edit many config files
is that ara? if it is then rip
