What does /g/ do for a living? >unload trucks while going to college How much do you make? About $150 a week. >How much of your income do you spend on tech? Not much, most of it goes towards alcohol and cigarettes. When I need upgrade I'll blow through cash though, but it's rare.
Java Developer. $2400 per month after taxes. I still live with my parents though because student loans are an absolute bitch and suck up so much of my money. I'm convinced university is a scam; especially schools with big athletic programs. I chose my school primarily based on the fact that athletics isn't big there. I didn't want to pay an extra ten grand so a bunch of jocks can throw a ball around. It was still expensive, but I got off much easier than my classmates in high school who went to big sports universities.
>>47070750 >I make batteries. >I make around $50k/ year (actually really good pay in suburban Georgia) >around $400/mo on various different things the past few months. Just built a new PC in December, and gradually updating things, such as my router, running CAT6 through my house, updating my office, graphics tablet, etc.
>What does /g/ do for a living? School Bus attendant >How much do you make? Less than 8k a year. >How much money do you spend on tech? Not much because I don't have much to spend. I'm good at saving money though and have enough saved up for a new pc this year.
Since the age of 13, I started working for my Father in our family run Garage/Car Repair Workshop as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician, this was worked around school and college hours.
Once finishing School at 16 I had more time due to the flexible hours in College which offered more time at work, then after the age of 19 I finished College and went completely full time at our Garage.
I have only received a wage since I was 21, so no payment from the previous years, now at the age of 23 I still get my extremely low wage of:
£60 (Per Week) working just over 60 hours, averaging about £1 per hour.
In the UK, the Minimum Wage has just gone up to £6.70 (So you do the reality check on that). This works out to be about $9.89, so I personally only get averaging in a given:
I am not qualified in my field nor have I done any sort of Apprenticeship or Qualification, only the Time and Commitment to our Family Company has given me the experience for my job. Yet our new young apprentice who is younger than I and is as useful as a Chocolate Fireguard gets £160 per week!
However in my spare time I do Build, Repair and Maintain Computer systems for family and friends free of charge along with creating many projects such as; CarComputer's, Gaming Rigs, Mini-servers and Media Centres.
what does /g/ do for a living? Assistant database manager, also in college
How much do you make? $36k (actually not bad for where I live, and when I finish the degree, hopefully this spring, it will go up a lot more)
How much of your income do you spend on tech? I've only spent a few hundred on one thing once (the laptop I'm using), then bought it an SSD which was about $100. I spend a few dollars once in a while on external storage. One year, I actually profited by buying going to garage sales and taking someone's $10 computer, parting it out and selling the pieces on Ebay. The part may start at $0.01, but the shipping is always $5.99 domestic and $15.99 international.
