Lets get this going!
Good to see others who appreciate dat slick black *sffff*sfff*
What are the essential cases for each side /g/
Who do you side with
Better than a mangled rainbow mess and its easy to match with other peripherals.
If I was a richfag I would maybe consider custom wood paneling to match fancy furniture in my room.
Black box is the best compromise for the average person.
Mid point between gaymer and minimalist.
S340 also very nice.
>implying this fridge isn't the best choice for non-NEETs
It's matte white so you don't have a glossy black box sucking light and fingerprints
The front panels make no pretentions at being good-looking. Fan-door and ODD-doors open separately, rather than sacrificing utility for a sleek faux-alu panel
Relies on blending in unnoticably rather than on cringey le classy looks that instantly announce your autism to the world and reveals your wardrobe has several pieces from Yesstyle
It's all about the cute little boxes
Bitch please, shit's classy as fuck. You're thinking of the Carbide series.
i have this case in black
holy fuck stay away the airflow is shit and you have half a centimeter at most to manage cables behind the mobo tray
Also the stock fans are absolute shite too
Other shitty impressions is
chimney is fucking useless it just adds to size and weight, fractal did it better.
I've always wondered what a 750D (I know it's a 350D, but they look almost identical) would look like without it's side windows, because I don't really like the side window. But gosh darn, that case is so boring without the side window.
>that oddly good feel when your case is really obscure
All the drive cages are removable, including 5.25" bays, proper support for large radiators and changes to the way they block the holes off on the top/side.
Also the door on the front can be made to open from either side.
god tier, but ironically. they should have actually made some
Silent cases tend to look pretty great
I own this one
Yeah, I just went to frys, they have this there and it is not as tough as it looks. So I got a Thermaltake Commander Snow for $34.
i had that case years ago and gave me cancer
you cant even fit an exhaust fan on top
you dun goofd
I wonder if they ever made any without an FDD bezel
and their modern successor
why didn't case makers copy the old aluminum Mac Pro/G5 aesthetic more instead of making ugly logo-covered gayman shitboxes that look like they belong in a walmart?
Pity they changed the grille in the next model and made it look ugly.
Nothing beats old HP shit
Makes a pretty killer nightstand, too
Croatia is a lovely place, too bad they are responsible for the tie, which angers RMS to the point where he has to write a spergy blog post about it. Can't love you anymore Croatia, even though you have great food and some lovely islands, goodbye!
dat 8 pin cpu cable floating there tho
thats what im talking about, i refused to have a spaghetti cable management
cheers if you're happy with it
(any decent case allows to mount a top fan AND lets you pass your 8pin cable behind the mobo
>stop posting technology, where are the gaming shitboxes?!
that MO drive looks so fucking cool
Sony used to be fantastic at product design.
The tower it's on is okay looking.
no, you don't understand:
it's not water-cooled
clean, but seems oddly lacking
for what fucking purpose
that's pretty sexy
-Fully removable drive cages (all of them)
-They fixed the retardation with their behind the case SSD mounts and you no longer have to install the SSDs before your motherboard if you want to use them
-Side panel is easier to remove (latches)
-Better radiator support
-They redesigned the top I/O panel
-They redesigned the top vent covers so it's now tool-less removal
-Case door can be mounted to open on either side (in theory this is good, in practice it feels flimsy)
-Removed extra PCI-E slot on the back for a vent (wouldn't be a big deal but it's supposed to be a silent case)
-Changed the mounting points on the top so fans aren't centered
R5 is nice, but Newegg throws R4s down to $70 on a pretty regular basis now - if you can get one for $40-50 less the R5 isn't worth it
only good case in this thread
>everything else is a boring, blank shitty box covered in fucking black faux brushed metal (??????) that looks like a low-end 90s stereo system
>or some ricey /v/ piece of shit with a fucking case window and shit red or green LEDs everywhere
case was only 35 dollars at the time and it came with usb 3.0 + 3 large fans
Oh good they make it in red
I had a Rosewill case. Decent enough case for the price but did absolutely nothing for noise and since it was an HTPC that was kind of a problem.
About to get a new case for my rig since I already upgraded the internals and kept the shitty old case.
Is the Corsair 500R a good case?
I'm using a 290x and that shit hits 80°C in my current case (some cheap ass xigmatec)
holy flip someone has that sony disc unit on the bay for £500
The NZXT H440 is sexy in all colour patterns, but I do have to say I prefer the black and red
>tfw I bought that, a pair of 5.2 GB M.O. disks and a Sun DDS drive for $10
This case would be great if it wasn't for the window.
Waiting on some 2.5" 1TB hard drives to be able to close up my case
It fits a mATX but it still uses an SFX power supply? I'm not sure the Silverstone 600w SFX can handle 2 cards, anything past 300w load and it's fan gets really loud
there's a certain appeal to older cases, even I can appreciate it to a certain extent. Excellent build quality with thick-ass steel and strong plastic, they make great sleeper cases if you go through the effort to mod one of them.
I wanted to mod a Dell server case once when I had a 1366 but I couldn't mod in 120mm fan holes without messing up the front panel.
This is a sexy laptop case. Don't worry, you don't have to admit it.
This is a nice case as well. I wish I could buy just the case.
This far in the thread and no rack?
Also unless the case is $50 all the window led neon shit is lamer tier.
