"Mom says you have to let me use your computer, Anon."
>Sure. I have just made you an account with limited privileges. You can login directly using the keyboard or remotely through the SSH. There's no X11 installed, my partition is encrypted and SELinux is enforced. Have fun !
"What is this shit? Where's Internet Explorer? Mom, Anon is doing something he shouldn't!"
"You're the one using a NEETs computer, who uses a 6 year old laptop? And what is with all these anime pictures?"
Nah, this is better. He can occupy his time with Dig Dug.
"Hey Anon, the fuck do I get on the Internet with this? And why do I have to stick this funny black rectangle with a hole in the middle into the computer to start it up?"

What is the best NAS drive?
I'm looking to build a personal NAS server, but I have no idea which hard drives to go for. I've been looking at WD Reds, but I recently read that HGST Deskstar NAS drives are good as well. Amazon has them both at ~160 dorrars (the 4TB versions).
Does anyone have any experience with them? Which would you go for?
Also, is it problematic to mix them in a RAID setup?
My dad got me one of these when I was 9 because he feared I'd fuck up the main computer. She was already five years old at that time.
"Muuumm!! Anon is getting violent again! Better call NHS!!"
>mfw remembering when older sister just wanted to "check her mail" while I'm trying to play my motherfucking Stick Arena

21yo student living at home here. My 3 siblings have their own machines, so none of them have ever needed to use my stuff. It must have been nearly a decade ago when I last kicked a sibling off of a machine or vice versa.
>Sure, Just click on the guest account when you want to log in. Firefox and Minecraft should be on the desktop. Things might look a bit different but it shouldn't be that hard to get used to.

God damn it, the older she gets, the more interest in computing she loses
Oh well, not that bad tbh, most girls in IT are autistic
I don't see the big deal. All my important data is backed up, so that can be restored no matter what they do. Maybe they'll mess up the OS somehow but that's an easy fix. If they find my MLP futa porn and get upset? Not my problem, that's what you get for snooping around my file system. Knock yourself out, kid.
You're right. I don't even need to open the image to make my blood pressure rise.
