4 years.... do you think Steven is proud of what Apple has become today?
Steve only cares about the money, he never gave a shit about about his customers. I wouldn't be surprised if he thought they were the biggest idiots ever. why else did he re-release the same phone every year, only it was slightly shiner and had a few new apps.
Fuck no. Diversifying the iPad lineup? Releasing an iWatch that no-one can use?
Diversifying the iPhone lineup?
Steve correctly recognised that part of what makes the iPhone a strong brand is the lack of choice. Any extra sales you get for diversifying will be lost as the reason to get an iphone over anything else evaporates.
Android phones have this problem- there's a billion of them. How the fuck are you supposed to know which is better? Spending like 12 hours learning everything to save $200 is called false economy.
Save the money, buy the monolithic product.
That said, I hate the iPhone as a product.
I thought the iPad was stupid when it came out. Tablets are still stupid to me.
nothing else works as well as OS X or iOS though. and no other laptop matches a macbook. no other all in one matches an iMac. etc. apple are the only company in tech that know what they are doing. and they are so far in the lead that they can even remove features, trickle them out in increments, and still be in the lead. it's hilarious
>steve jobs has been dead for four years
>the amount of time between 2011 and 2015 is the same amount of time as the amount of time between 2007 and 2011
>you haven't done anything with your life
Neither iOS nor OSX are that good. The only thing they have going for them is the fact that it is a highly controlled environment. They know exactly what hardware is going to be used with the system.
Im poor and own Apple products
It dosent make you rich
Homeless people have iPhones and MacBooks
I wish I got an Xperia
this fag has turned the company into nothing but a fashion brand. yeah macs have always been loved by plebs with jobs too but at least he was trying to shake things up and come up with new ideas. Cook and Ive are posers and they've completely given up the creative market to windows and adobe so no one gives a shit anymore.
Because Apple will refuse to let anyone who dosent promote their products receive "samples" for "testing" early (cough bribes cough)
>anyone worth a damn
Maybe at the local Art Festival, or hipster dipshit reviewers living in the bubble of Macrumors.com but in the real world corporations and the government overwhelmingly use Windows for desktops and Linux for servers
you never needed a mac. it's just easier and produces a better result. and still does. i am only a prosumer though but love core audio and the sys wide font and color managerent for starters
I agree on the no choice polici of steve. I like android, but even i have trouble overlooking the models of some brands. 12 hours is not the case, i did like 2 hours research before i bought my first android. And once you get the hang of it, you can find sth that suits you in 15 minutes. People just loved the simplicity of apple and how they don't have to be IT interested just to make their phone function really well.
I see windows phone heading in this direction, simple UI, awesome phones (e.g. perform well with 512MB ram), even the low spec ones.
They need more apps tho, but basic stuff like IM is very well doable. I'm waiting for win 10 phones and then ill get a low tier one, just out of curiosity.
how am i wrong? plus OS X font rendering, quicklook, Time Machine, color picker plugins, quicklook plugins. alfred/launchbar/etc, unix certified, qe/ci, etc. so many things make it easier to produce better content. and the app library of little tools that pros like is quite extensive too
Honestly I agree with tim cook here.
Being gay seems fucking amazing. All the sex you could ever want, easy, for free, and people will literally drive to you to get fucked in the ass.
The only downside is the higher risk of disease, and having to use a condom with random dudes.
but linux doesn't' even have adobe stuff? and i'm not agreeing with you either. linux is horrible in most ways, and if it did do any of those things he listed, it's only because neckbeards copied OS X eventually. eg. font rendering and launcher apps
but i'm a life long winfag too and this is my current PC i built (not that building a PC is harder than duplo)
2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 memory
512GB PCIe-based flash storage1
Intel Iris Graphics 6100
Built-in battery (10 hours)2
Force Touch trackpad
HP Notebooks EliteBook 850 G1 (E3W16UT#ABA)
Intel Core i7 4600U (2.10GHz)
8GB Memory 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4400 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (with Win8 Pro License)
he clearly had autism. he couldn't even buy furniture as none of it was perfect. on his death bed he talked for hours to the nurse about how flawed the design of the heart rate monitor was
I don't thinks so. Steve Jobs was very hard on his design and development teams. I think he would have thrown out a lot of what they are selling now.
Listen, /g/. If you didnt wise up and buy apple stock a long time ago you're now fucked and crying in threads like this. I make cash doing nothing just by owning ~50 shares of apple that I bought years ago.
Tl;dr - apple stock is the best thing that ever happened to this anon ^_^
>ITT: asperger overload
In my life I used all three of them, GNU/Linux, Windows and OSX. You might dislike Steve Jobs, Apple culture, the product design, the price or the mere fact that it is popular among people with di$posable income and a sexual life. No matter why you dislike it, OSX is fucking best.
It's a Unix system on top of a seamlessly integrated hardware. And thanks to Tim Cook who engineered Apple's supply chain back when he was COO, that hardware is top notch.
The only legitimate reason to prefer Windows over OSX is limited to MS Office, which is perhaps the greatest consumer software on the market right now.
Other than that everything boils down to tastes and/or being buttmad.
I'm happy with my OSX, /g/
also pic related. he's a macfag
Are you trying to use moot as an example?
Like, an actual reference for anything computer related?
You could've tried better and used Linus, at least. (even though he gave those Fisher Price tier laptops to his kids)
>The only thing they have going for them is the fact that it is a highly controlled environment. They know exactly what hardware is going to be used with the system.
That's a pretty big upside
Arent we still in the roadmap of stuff that Steve had laid out. The iWatch as it exsists today might not be what he had envisioned, but a watch like device may have been on the roadmap when he was still around
