> Daily reminder that the iGPU master race can currently run GTA IV medium/high settings at 30-60fps.
> Daily reminder that no AMD iGPU can surpass the Haswell Iris Pro.
> Daily reminder that Broadwell Iris Pro 6200 will kill all dedicated graphics bullshit for less than 39W total (CPU + iGPU)
All that for only 47W total
That's because the textures were loading while I took the screenshot, just watch the video:
Shit runs better than PS3, almost like PS4
> dogshit settings
it's medium/high, watch the fucking video
> battery dry in half an hour
It's not dedicated shit, it consumes only 47W maximum.
> That is going to change the market
Yes I know, dedicated graphics will no longer be necessary since integrated performs better.
>This test was run at 1366x768 with low-medium graphics settings and gives a level of performance and graphical quality of a similar level to the PS3 and XBox 360 version of the title. The benchmark test was run with V-sync disabled, but setting the V-sync to 'half' locks the game to 30fps and gives a smooth and consistent level of performance.
It's progressing, but it's by no means a realistic alternative yet.
I did watch it.
1366 x 768, mostly 'normal' settings aka dogshit, and all the view distance sliders set to minimum, no AA, no Anisotropic Filtering, minimum density.
If you call that medium/high you're fucking deluded
That looks like shit. Garbage resolution, no AA, completely flat due to no SSAO or other fancy effects, massively unstable framerate and constant stuttering. Why would anybody want to play it like that?
Maybe that's because your dedicated graphics can't handle youtube above 360p, get the latest new XD Nvydia 970GTXXxxXXxx 3.5GB of RAM edition xDDxDDDxDDDDddDDD and watch it again at 1080p.
No, the fastest AMD APU on the market is currently in the PS4 (in terms of GPU power). Their other desktop and laptop APUs typically outperform Intel system in graphics performance but get crapped on in CPU performance.
The Iris Pro 5200 has to run at a lower resolution and drastically lower quality setting than even the PS4 version.
I don't think I'll ever install a gpu in my computer, they are a waste of power and they are loud.
It's not even that I don't have power to spare, it just bothers me that something in my house is consuming lots of power and is inefficient.
This is actually pretty amazing, say what you will but gta 5 has very high graphics requirements and for this nifty little igpu to preform so well is quite a feat.
And people, it's fucking LOW WATT MOBILE, on a single chip! What the hell more do you want?
How about 1440p/144fps? 4k/60fps? 4k/144fps? whatever resolution our eyes see in / how quickly our brain processes each 'picture'? Until we've reached that, then there's NO reason to flip shit over GTAV at medium settings, as this is something that we've had the tech to achieve for YEARS.
I love how Rockstar jewed everyone into thinking they're running on medium settings by simply renaming 'low/very low' to 'normal'.
It looks terrible, though. I didn't know GTA5 could look this bad.
This is just natural progression of technology, sure "we've" had the tech to do this for years... we've also had the tech for quantum computing and orders of magnitude more flops in workstations/experimental tech than traditional home pcs.. the fact is this is a cheap(in both power and upfront cost) option for the laptop market.
I just don't see why everyone is freaking out over this thing not maxing out crysis.. If you want that you're going to be spending A LOT more than $1800, desktop or laptop, but especially more for the latter.
We can start worrying about our lappies having UHD and high refresh rates and maxing games when batteries stop being such shit and tech matures a bit more.
>IGPS, GPUS, physical hardware
Why are you still gaming like cavemen?
That's pretty cool that a small laptop can do that but it still looks like shit. I like my high res textures and huge resolution. Dedicated graphics are not going away any time soon.
integrated is not going to kill dedicated in the near future but it is nice to see development. i can't see an integrated gpu putting out something like pic related anytime soon.
1200p@60 stable R9 290X. full settings excluding MSAA which is off (can have it on full but the frames dip to 30 often which i don't like seeing)
Of course dedicated is cool but I like integrated because now I can play my favourite games which were made in 98-2005 on a device as small as laptop during lunch breaks.
Diablo II, Gothic I and II, Mafia, NFSU, Max Payne, GTA LC/VC/SA, Half-Life 2, Neverwinter nights, and all kinds of good games.
>Play my old games
Yeah gtx 980 here.
>That feel when you upgrade and 2-3 games are an improvement at first and 5 or so others you play were already maxing out and you frequently play games from the 90s lol.
Some physical versions of some old games I got around still.
also, when will Age of Empires be available on mobile? Please Microshit, release the original version without in app purchases, I would pay up to $5 to play this on my smartphone/tablet.
They re released this on Steam with an HD version but unfortunately gayboy its not backwards compatible with online on the original.
>Wanting mobile versions of classic PC games that used a mouse and keyboard
I dunno whats so impressive.
Things like the 960 you can get in a super small form factor with super low power for a dedicated card thatll run all games.
Who the hell is penny pinching power this much? Where in the world is power actually a major factor in deciding what electronics you use? This is hilarious
But you can get laptops with GPUs that aren't heavy, bulky, and loud and don't cost a thousand dollarydoos.
