Not sure what private trackers are all about?

If you ask for invites in here, people will report you and staff watch these threads. Several accounts have already been lost due to stupidity in these threads. Don't risk your account for an anon
>mfw 6213111920166 stand for "fuck staff" in alphanumeric
I know how that is, I'd like to help you out but already have invites disabled. Your other option would be recruitment threads, I know waffles.fm and that leddit tracker have them in their power user forums.
If you have access to public trackers, you have a moral duty to reupload to private trackers.
By putting up with no byzantine rules and regulations to share content with others, you don't martyr yourself for the good of mankind.
What took you so long?

I'm flattered, but no.
Is the what.cd interview process pretty hard? I am going through the notes that I've written down as well as seeing the reference, and it seems pretty straight forward.
>only download yify rips
>only download inspiron trance mixes in 320kbps (I transcode to AAC q6 myself)
Hate me faggots. Why do you guys love working for free? I don't even use my what.cd account anymore. Who wants it?
>I don't know what I am talking about.
stfu moron. 50% of what you download from public trackers come from the scene. which only gets leaked to the world thanks to private trackers
some 49% of it comes directly from private trackers like what.cd who actually makes content available
the other 1% are virus and trojan that you download. Congrats on joining the botnet
Looking for a HDBits invite! My email is P2_DA@cock.li
But it is? Also used to purchase several things in the site.
I tried being open but then people took from me until everything was gone and when I needed them all they gave me was silly excuses
So you bet your ass I'm going to be as exclusive ae you can get
>welp getting ratio is tough as shit. let's see those requests
>oh shit, here's a juicy one, and I even have a log and cue like the guy wants from when I ripped that cd a few years back! this'll be a nice upload!
>Oh hi there anon. It seems this was ripped with an old version of EAC so we'll just have to subtract 20 points from your log score. Happy uploading :^)
>Log score is too low for upload :^)
Peer Leaking Attack
>This morning PassThePopcorn suffered a peerleaking attack, similar to the one perpetuated against BTN earlier in the week. A malicious individual hacked into a user's account, then used that account to scrape peers from a few torrents. He then injected those stolen peers into a public swarm, in an effort to get our users targeted with DMCA letters. We have not received any reports of DMCA notices as of yet.
>To be clear -- this was not an attack by a copyright agency, but by a degenerate individual attempting to harm our community. It was deliberate unprovoked sabotage.
>The entire attack lasted less than three hours, but now we need to deal with the fallout. There will be some changes coming down the wire in the next few days to ensure such risks are mitigated in the future.
>As a reminder, you are free to use a seedbox or a private (paid) VPN to download and seed. We just ask that you don't use it to connect to the site, and don't use open proxies.
What do I do about it?
>All users who were affected by this breech will receive a pm in the next few hours with detailed instructions about how best to proceed. If you do not receive a PM in the next 24 hours then you were not affected.
>This attack would not have been possible had it not been for the hacked account the perpetrator got access to. We encourage all of our users to use a unique password -- one that they don't use on any other site. The password should be at least seven characters long, and contain uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. http://strongpasswordgenerator.com is a pretty easy way to generate unique passwords. There are also many password vaults like http://keepass.info/ available to assist you in storing unique passwords without having to remember them.
THE IPT FAGGOT IS AT IT AGAIN
Getting your ratio up is easy.
Step 1: Wait for a highly anticipated album release.
Step 2: Torrent it early in the swarm.
Step 3: ?????????
Step 4: Torrent something else.
Hint: ???????? is "Seed."
you forgot the end part
> It's a rather sad state of affairs when some trackers choose to actively sabotage other communities. Rest assured we will mitigate the underlying problems. The safety of our users is one of our highest priorities.
IPT faggots again?
As you may be aware, BTN has been subject to an attack over the past couple of days which has resulted in some users' IP addresses being made public.
It is unknown at this point whether the attack was malicious in nature or just misguided, but we do know that it has compromised our users' security, causing several users to receive copyright infringement notices.
We have identified the culprit and removed them from the site, but our investigation has turned up a number of torrents which may have been compromised - you are being contacted because you have been active on one or more of them. We strongly advise that you remove the torrents listed below from your client immediately (or upon completion), and change the port that is used by your torrent client if possible.
uhh hi i have a 5 year old acct on what.cd and 6 months old acct on PTP
whats the chances i could get someone here to give an hdbits invite? I also have IPT with 3TB upload and animebytes with 2TB upload but those are pretty easy
>wait for global freeleech
>rent seedbox for $15
>download all FLAC and v0 torrents from popular collages
>leave it for the month
>terabytes of upload guaranteed
I generally hate seedboxes for that reason, but renting one for a freeleech is the easiest way to get any decent upload on What. Paying to fill requests is for losers.
Then there's no way. I guess if you have a decent system and don't pay for electricity, you can mine bitcoins for a month and you might get $10. How is one-time $10 a problem though compared to constantly paying for usenet servers (unless you keep making new trial accounts every 3 days, in which case LOL)?
Is this what you wanted? This is a guide on their forums.
And here's the watchlist option on your profile page
I'm searching a specific guide to:
- Set up a seedbox from scratch on a dedicated remote server running debian
- Setting up a VPN to ecrypt the connection between my machine and the server
- Encrypt the server itself or the HDDs or at least the torrents
Do you know where I can find something like this? I want to create a secure/anonymous seedbox for me and a friend because last month he received a letter from an agency for downloading an episode of a TV series on a public tracker and was fined to pay €600 (Germany). We decided that we're gonna split the server costs but also want to prevent this shit from happening again.
How do I make a request on animebytes? They only have pokemon in 480p wmv with mp3 audio.
So I have an account at what.cd and when I moved a while back I had terrible internet for like a year, my ratio was impossible to maintain if I downloaded stuff so I just stopped logging on.
Now I have great internet again and when I went back over there it said I'm banned for inactivity and that if I wanted to plead my case I could talk it over with a mod in their IRC channel.
Anyone think they'd be lenient with me? I
yeah trackers are really cool giving your account back if it was disabled for inactivity.
protip: download all the freeleechs, all of them. it's about 60gb for all
I net around 300mb a day upload doing nothing at all. that's 3 albums a day as v0
That wasn't me
The rules say:
>A FLAC torrent without a log (or with a log from a non-EAC or non-XLD ripping tool like dBpoweramp or Rubyripper) may be trumped by a FLAC torrent with a log from an approved ripping tool that scores either 100% or <100% because of non-audio deductions.
So I'm fucked
I interpreted audio deductions as precisely what happened to my disc rip, so I'm not gonna risk losing upload privileges.
I think I'm just gonna start uploading bandcamp. What's the procedure, again? Just download FLAC albums, transcode and upload
daft punk made a 24bit master that was sold on a couple websites. so while I get that you're curious what a hi-res vinyl rip sounds like, if you're a fan of the album you should look this up as well.
