Tweeters way to close to ears. Those type of speakers are supposed to be at least five-six feet away from you.
At that range, they couldn't possibly sound anything but shit.
needs moar space. 5/10
nice and clean 8/10
cool stuff but i dont get why people buy these monitors. 7.5/10
nice retro vibe 8.5/10
not a fan of portrait mode, unicorns or razer products. even if I own one.
lel I custom design and build my own speakers from scratch, stay mad.
i'm this guy, does somebody has an idea of how i can make enable enough room to mount my kef on speaker stands?
i will remove the brown wardrobe from my room in some weeks.
here's a layout i made
i bought it for freesync and IPS purpose, the 21:9 is experimental but it gives a really nice touch in gta 5 and movies in my current progression of using this monitor
nah, I don't even fuck with those anymore, built them and then got some nice speakers from an old theater, waiting on the minidsp to come in the mail then gonna set these up with an active xover
Nice lamp, speaker look good but floor is horrible.
Nice mic. Monitor is good but the speakers don't werk.
dull but nice monitor setup.
Do you live in one room ? Nice pad all the same
Nice desk. Guitar is also top notch
It's a work in progress right now, still need chairs and room treatments, need to mount those surrounds on the walls too.
always liked this, one of the few in these threads that isn't mindless consumerist garbage or pleb "20 something with too much disposable income and not enough friends" bullshit, it's actually tasteful rather than a mindless dickwave
Hows everyones monday?
Thoughts on my setup?
Im watercooling the graphics cards soon. And before I hear about my monitors falling off the desk, INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH VELCRO MASTER RACE.
Plain but nice.
I like the monitor, desk is nice too
Vegas strip club/10
That weird ass statue on the right makes me hungry. I like it.
Too cramped, a lot of junk on that shelf. Too low to the ground
>i bought it for freesync and IPS purpose, the 21:9 is experimental but it gives a really nice touch in gta 5 and movies in my current progression of using this monitor
I meant the speakers.
>Too cramped, a lot of junk on that shelf. Too low to the ground
Too cramped? Your monitors are about to fall off your desk -_- I have space for a second computer on my desk.
Shelves. thats whats I consider them for. my collector items and booze.
too low to ground. (desk of shelf) if desk i measured a normal desk and put mine at same height, if shelf, I somewhat agree.
yeah no offense taken. But even if your monitor hold perfectly with the velcro, they still look like theyre about too fall you know. But the height of the shelf was a big debate I had I wish it was a bit higher.
I'm early. It's actually changed a bit but I can only take a picture when it is overcast
No, before they used the series. It was just thinkpad. It is the ThinkPad 390E from 1999 I got it for 20 bucks on eBay. The battery is dead but it came with the original hard drive and upgraded the ram to 196MB. I can buy a new battery for it for like $20 on newegg. I don't care that much though. It is no longer on my desk and now has Windows 2000 instead of Windows 3.1. I don't have the room for vintage computers so it works well when I need/want to do some kind of legacy task.
Didn't know the 300 series got that kind of styling update, I only have the massive brick ones.
>I don't have the room for vintage computers so it works well when I need/want to do some kind of legacy task.
Yeah, older ThinkPads are really handy for that kind of stuff, I keep a 760CD and a 770X around for similar reasons (I also have a shitload of others, but I have a couple ones I use primarily)
it's just a coincidence that one other /g/ member has them, this doesn't make them a meme.. although this is an anniversary edition speaker, praised in the studiomonitor industry
No this is the block. It weights 7 pounds with the battery and CD/Floppy inside. It is fucking heavy this also the lowest end version with a 800x600 screen. That sold for $1700 in 1999, crazy.
My Thinkpad CMOS is on the fringe as the time freezes when the computer is off or it will just reset to 1/1/89 sometimes. But damn it is probably the original 16 years is a long time.
>I thought this was a BST thread
Nice and clean, liked the Vertigo poster.
Same, i have that puff. I actually got them in black and white, put my vinyls in one, DVDs in the other and the turntable above the black one.
Nice, i think i'd be bothered by those leds sometime but it's cool nonetheless.
I like it, not a fan of the Razer stuff and you should try not to compress the img too much.
Goddamn nigga this is perfect.
Comfy as hell, congrats.
Looks like it's going to fall apart anytime.
Your waterloop seems pointless without the GPUs but i like the rest, maybe you should get a monitor stand for those 3.
Okay i guess, nothing special, not messy, just normal. Doesn't seem comfy though, like, not at all.
I like yours too, simple and clean etc etc.
Love it, are all those Macs functional?
A IBM Model M would look great in the middle of those.
Okay, pretty average i guess.
Doesn't seem comfy, i recognize my desk is not the best but neither is yours, we both should change.
Nice as always
I don't like the wall color and i think you should paint it with some darker color or just brighter, that blue looks meh.
Anyway, besides that it's pretty solid, like your guts.
Here's my 2 in 1 room
nice and clean
I like your station, but you could come up with -anything- better to do with your headphones.
Simple, small, but functional. Is your tower sitting on carpet?
they all work except the graphite G4 which needs a GPU since it was gutted for some reason
I have a model M too, but I've gotta say the keyboard attached to the SE is one of the best feeling keyboards I've ever used
Hey guys anyone wanna rate?
To reply to the last thread:
>I never got the whole standing desk.
lots of people are like that
>surely you get tired after a while of just standing in place?
Yep. But sometimes, you get involved in what you're doing and it doesn't really matter. Ive stood for hours before.
>is that intentional to get you off the computer
Yeah, that happens too
>personally I would need a whole other station for sitting
Which I have, a laptop and a sitting desk.
This is nice because I don't need a chair and I can walk up walk away whatever. And its big enough to hold two monitors and speakers and etc.
Yes the tower is on carpet. It is a Cosmos 2, so all the vents are filtered. Still, it does require monthly cleaning. Also, it looks small in the picture, but the table is 5x4 and very high up. Its the only table that makes a cosmos look small...
what time period are the one's you've found from?
Can't wait till i land a job so i can forge a battlestation worthy of posting in a /g/ thread. Until then i'll just keep lurking from my 5yr old laptop whilst laying on the couch.
t. Jelly poorfag
Oh shit, I thought you were talking about the drafting table. No the mouse LEDs are blue for the indicators and sort of aqua or teal for the 'G'... kinda blue/green. But mine is from launch.
Haven't taken a new headphone pic, but there's HD600s now
