I took some time to handpick some websites where you can find free graphic resources. More and more people are trying to bring startups to life with a low budget. I'm one of them. So that's why I decided to share with you guys a couple free resources that helped me. I Hope you find them helpful!
Free Graphics, Icons, Mockups, Sketch and PSD files
There's a bazillion sources out there, he/she didn't "forget" anything. Personally, I hate brusheezy and vecteezy. I have also found a great resource in behance.com, people post their stuff for free DL all the time. Also, deviantart.com, another free online art community that is full of free stuff I've recently found dealjumbo.com. I signed up for the weekly newsletters and they regularly give a special paid vector, image, font, etc. For free.
But there's a problem. Most of these freebie sites want "credit" or make you... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
So I'm doing an animation in Illustrator for my college class (yes, it has to be Illustrator) but the problem is phantom frames. The animation was originally 400 frames but I cut it down to 200 to save time. Finished the animation and exported as a .swf by converting layers to frames, but after frame 200 it keeps playing frame 200 for 200 more frames as if frames 201-400 were still they. well. they aren't. So I need help finding out how to get rid of these phantom frames.
Each layer has only 1 sub layer (checked em' all myself)
>>258902 Is that just a squashed color swapped version of the animus? Could be an OK logo. Doesn't look like a legit political party though. >>258917 Looks legitimate. I'm guessing a nationalist, more right-wing party? Eagle has connotations of America, but from a distance / ignoring that it looks like it could be a real party.
hey /gd/ I have a weird question, so I came up with a really cool Graphic for a bic lighter, and went through the process of actually putting it onto a lighter, and I wanted to put it on kickstarter because I honestly think people would fund it. However I don't know if they will approve it because of their ridiculously vague rules, what do you think? Should I even invest time into trying to get it approved or do you think they're going to kick it back because it's a lighter?
Everything I have is all original, it isn't trademarked or copyrighted,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>>260188 The article acts like any sort of scientific data went into that picture. Someone saw purty space pictures and made that thing and thats ok, dont talk about NASA images or log scales when earth is a big as the sun.
I am taking 12 months off to self-study graphic design and coding full time.
I have a basic grounding in Adobe, know my way around PS and Illustrator pretty well. I'm looking to advance my all round GD skills and get a decent understanding of front-end dev.
I have all this time on my hands. I'm starting with Lynda, Udemy, One Month etc courses and taking it from there. What would you suggest are key areas for me to focus on and also the best kinds of self-directed projects to work on for my portfolio? There are so many possible applications for design... That stuff is only going to help you learn how to use stuff to make stuff. Graphic design principles and a lot of other stuff is completely agnostic of the software.
I've learned some graphic design from talking with designer friends, asking them about how things are put together and whatnot. Some more from design blogs and websites. But if you're going to be serious about this, please save up some money for some proper education.
Hi guys, applying for Industrial design at university this fall and right now I'm trying to come up with as many ideas as possible for my portfolio. Do any of you have ideas, a portfolio yourself that you could show off, or anything that is helpful/relevant to me. Thanks.
>>258644 You should take a look at Andrew kims portfolio. Concept designs seem to get you exposure quickly. Just redesign objects that we use day to day in a clever way. Take a look at behance.net for ideas.
So all my life iv used Gimp. I only use it to shop together silly shit for friends or for quick laughs. Is Gimp a good program in the eyes of /gd/? Iv also been looking for a program I could use on my phone that can do simple Gimp style things, such as layering, Alpha Channeling, cutting, etc. >Pic related
>>258418 I use Gimp for quickly slapping things together and Photoshop for professional work. I honestly prefer the interface of Gimp in most ways but PS is the more powerful and standards-compliant tool. Torrent it though, fuck adobe.
In OPs indulgent assumption that we know who the fuck he is, he miss identifies the fucking board that he's on, dipshit.
I thought it'd be clever to act like a decent human being, and hint that his attitude that we'd bother asking him anything was not going to be taken seriously because he couldn't be bothered to double check that he labeled the board properly.
Kerning on shift need work. Lose the stroke. Bring the margins in a bit it looks way too narrow, having the bottom margin narrower than the top makes it appear unbalanced, so does all the type crammed into the bottom. The image isn't the most interesting thing for a cover page but a suggestion would be to try placing some of the type in that big black space you have in the middle that should be where you readers eyes should be drawn to. At the moment there's really no focal point which is kinda important if this were to be on a shelf next to other magazines. I'm... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>259032 I appreciate your consideration. It's true, shade of the accent color I've chosen doesn't fully satisfy me whenever I look over the page and you gave me a good technical explanation why it could be so.
At the same time I want just that right bright cyan-green color value cuz it looks so fresh imo. I'm a little afraid that a darker tone would look too dull.
>>259092 Get the gate right. The gate is everything.
Add small herds of dinos running around.
I'm not sure what's keeping the dinosaurs from destroying the buildings either. Are they in the enclosure? Is there an enclosure? Those Pterodactyls fuck people up and they're just casually flying around (until they see someone). That watchtower by the lake won't keep people safe.
Hi there /g/raphic designers. Pic related is my desktop, and I'm interested to see if I turn it into a larger-size print for my wall. As you can see, the pic itself would fit fully on a 14- or 15" computer screen (I have a 13" laptop so it's a bit big for my desktop). Ideally, I would like to scale it up to 3x the length and width for hanging on a wall.
>Is this possible? >Is this a good idea? >If yes for both, who would I go to to make it happen?
>be graphic design student >5 days to design a resume >spend 3 sketching >come up with an idea >bring it into indesign >idea is awful >had the idea to use colors to create rhythm and bring attention to center of resume >not enough room to write resume info >literally no design elements used...
