Depends on what you mean. You can make a living with almost anything provided you're willing to try hard enough.
That being said, Adobe is the industry standard and it is what everyone expects you to use.
File associations, compatibility, and for things like raster and vector applications you may be able to get by with Inkscape, Xara, or GIMPin' it.
But the second a client asks you to lay out a large publication, and you DON'T use Indesign, they are going to know. Especially if they intend to go to press with an actual packaged file and you... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

After editing 8 pictures my client says >You know what? I'll ask my niece to cut these pictures, she knows how to use the vector tool to cut pictures on Photoshop, you'll still get your payment, but now you'll do the SEO.
There's always diversity on these boards no matter what you may think. There's plenty of hobbyists, professionals, amateurs and people who just seek advice. However then there's you. The ass hat who has nothing constructive or anything remotely relevant to the discussion on the threads. You're not even a troll, you're cancer that is beneath a troll and you should go jump off a bridge. At least some trolls generate a laugh but you are just a shit show that spews off negativity, I can only feel bad for your terrible life.

The reader has to go through the poster two times You have blank space left so try playing more and rearrange the elements.
The dots don't reflect pointillism correctly. They evoke more of pop art impression. Try to find another way to convey the idea.
The shapes and brush strokes could be more organic to reflect painting more naturally. When you zoom into... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
