How do you sell out so hard it's not even art anymore? I heard a few times in the past you can draw furry porn for forum goers. I'd rather not draw furry porn unless I really really have to, but I'm sure there's a few other kinds of porn that rich shut-ins will pay for.
Have you ever tried yourself?
If this doesn't work well in the first place, do you have any other niche suggestions that I could get into drawing so I can get commissions?
>>2318413 If you start spamming your furry art all over /b/ and /pol/ the offers will comes and before you know it you will have been lead to secret forums of fur faggotry. Just remember that furfaggots don't like fakes so you got to spice up your posting of drawings with stories about how you are a huge furfaggot and be overly sensitive to any critique. A good way to blend in among them will be to see any subject as an opportunity to bring up furfaggotry.

What truly inspires or motivates you to draw and to keep continuing in your craft?
So far for me it's been a long long struggle with an inch that I so badly want to scratch, but it's hard to reach. I've drawn for a good couple years, being about 8 when I fully invested all time into it, and for a good decade it was just a constant mainline for me. Everyday, every waking minute, just drawing/doodling/sketch/whatever it be, just to get the idea out.
Yet now, being... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I look back at the woman who gives me a heart attack I see her brown hair flowing freely behind her back I sink into a pit of black i need a cigarette Many women could be her but she doesn't know that And for some reason the only woman I want Has the intelligence and maturity I can't have I'm feeling very uneasy and stress is coming I'm never enough for anybody I find myself loving But this is still a very unfortunate happening Because I miss her so much I long for her with everything Without ever feelin her touch but I know... I've been working on my drawing for some 3-4 years, and at the beginning I didn't really have a method and I haven't really been disciplined throughout, and it shows on my work.
So right now I'm back to studying from books and working on my drawing skills, however I'm not having fun drawing anymore. I mean, I know studies aren't supposed to be fun, but when I go and try to draw the things I want to draw, it's more frustrating than anything.
I just don't like what I draw anymore, and it doesn't make me want to draw and... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2318275 If you look up some great concept artists it sometimes helps, if you don't feel terrible by comparing their work to your current skill. Perhaps you need to build up your imagination from influence, like watching movies, playing vidya, or boredom google image searches helps a lot.
Normally I would post stuff in draw thread, but individual threads seem to be made all the time so whatever, my plan's to post character designs I've done and if anyone gives a shit I'll draw more showing off who they are and what they do.
This is the protagonist of a low-fantasy comic I'm still developing. She's frighteningly strong, knocks fuckers over like bowling pins.
Really? Nuts. She's actually missing her right breast because an arrow covered in animal shit grazed her chest a couple years back and caused an infection, so they had to get her hammered to amputate it. My anatomy's shaky, though, so your misunderstanding is my bad.
Here's another character from the same story, this guy being forced by his dad to be a general, to the annoyance of actual military guys. Plus they think he's a total pussy because he's good with a bow but not with a... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2318257 Keep in mind that the difference between using style to compensate for the lack of knowledge of anatomy and then basing a style on a solid understanding of the same makes a big difference for the end result. An easy fix could be to add some well structured background scenes and environments and those are easy to reuse. But of course if your comic offers other things like compelling storytelling or humor then that might not matter.
Do you guys have any recommendations when it comes to learning how to place an angle? I've been trying to do scenery, etc, and I've learned perspective. I've taken architecture classes, and have read architecture books for 'the artist', but I'm really having trouble with placing where the viewer would be.
>>2318101 Fuck you. I know it's not ZERO zero. I know he has the backing of Sony and also his own name to work on. I meant that he will need to create new IPs, and having to let go of series that he has worked years on, and start working new ideas from scratch.
I also wonder what happened to Fox Engine now that it has turned out this way.
How do you know how good or bad you are at art? I'm always terrified I will die, and God will tell me, "yes you sucked at drawing the whole time and everyone just felt bad for you so they told you you were good. also you were very ugly"
>>2318037 If you've been doing it seriously for less than 3 years you probably suck. If you can make a living off it you probably are at least okay. If you can put your art next to your heroes and not see much of a difference then you probably are great.
The only time I feel confident I'm proficient at drawing is when: -my dog barked at a painting I made cause she thought it was a real person -someone is bashing someone else's art in comparison to mine (ex. in drawing class some kid made a big obnoxious deal that I was the best) -someone doesn't call my drawing "good" they say instead "professional"
>>2318042 >...less than 3 years you probably suck But what about learning curves? Not everyone progresses at the same time. >make a living off of it you probably are at least okay But what about people like Leifield?
