Is randis albion the artist of the generation?
>draws photorealistically from his mind, uses no references
>awesome sense of style and design
Does anyone come even close?
cool stuff, if it had pressure sensitivity it could be zbrush-lite.
Torrent to John Parks patreon videos?
>too cheap to pay even $1 for someone's hard work
It's pieces of shit like you guys that deter many artists from making a decent living. Ironically, your cheapness also fucks over yourselves.
Dear ic you don´t know me. I am cool... fuck I mean santa anon.
Christmass begins now because...I say so, time to pick your gifts.
Merry christmass, here you go:
more gifts coming... ;)
I saw a while ago a drawing/manga reference page with different sets of pictures. The first set was a japanese schoolgirl from all angles and in different positions. You had to pay for most of the content but there was also free stuff. I forgot to bookmark the site. Can anyone help me to find it again?
Typical ic answer: FUCK YOU GO TO req. Tits or get the fuck out!
Now speaking seriously anon you mean this (pic related)
I have the link hidden my resources notes... the last time I checked it I was about to buy it (I had the money ) the site went wrong or something.
I couldn´t buy it but I downloaded the video with most of the poses with is pretty much the same thing.
Do you want it?
What's your ideal order for materials/general rendering method? Pic related is mine.
What do you think of it?
Please could you guys suggest some nice animated films?
Onwards and upwards.
Why cant i draw like him..
It looks simple, i mean, its anime shit after all, so why is it so difficult to capture this style.
>It looks simple, i mean, its anime shit after all, so why is it so difficult to capture this style.
In order to draw GOOD LOOKING anime and manga art you have to be able to draw realistically first.
Those characters look so appealing because the artist knows exactly what details to ommit to make it look appealing as fuck.
I'm thinking about buying this set since it has ink pens AND a pencil. Are there any other sets that are better or similar? Any with markers?
>brush pen included
I wonder about it's quality - your kit is only 1$ more expensive than Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen (which is recommended by Robertson)
those "pens" are often just thin tip markers, your better off buying a really nice fountain pen like most mangakas use. If you don't want to smudge the ink try using a a cloth clove with the fingers (besides the pink) cut out.
Paintings that you loved at the first sight.
dont want to turn this into a Bouguereau thread, but i love this one from him.
This one and The Hard Lesson are my favourites.
This is why I grew to hate art.
Put detail into the focus piece then everything else not into focus has shit detail. Fuck everyone doing this.
I have a serious question.
HOW DO NOSES and FACES WORK in volumes?! Like the cheekflabs connected to the nose, etc.
Anyone got a handy explanation for that?
Ruan image for attention and related.
>HOW DO NOSES and FACES WORK in volumes?
Like how all other things work in volume? When observed, light fall from certain angles and reflects based on the surface composition, creating sharp and soft transitions of reflections.
Not sure if that answered your question.
How. the. fuck.
do you get a perfect cube out of an ellipse.
I don't mean the other way around, I mean how the fuck do you calculate a perfect ellipse?? It doesn't make any sense
I understand that the minor axis should be in perspective and I understand the 4 points should touch each vertice of the face of said triangle but how? do you just guess it?
in scott robertson's book, it says to "estimate the degree of the ellipse" how can I know if my estimation of the degree is right?
this is driving me crazy
ok, so ic really is a shithole.
I think I get it now for whoever wants to hear me up.
after trying so hard for one week to have nice ellipses, I'm so glad I got it.
so! you need to consider all aspects of an ellipse as well as your perspective (1point, 2 points)
I thought that since it was a plane I should have only considered one of the points but, of course, that's bullshit. ignore the major axis and only consider...
