hey /ic/ not sure where to direct this question as im not a regular here and the sticky didnt instruct me on this but i am an architect student and i was comissioned on designing a catholic church and i am looking for a modern approach at the 14 stations of the cross, something like pic related but i cant find the artist who made them so if you know the name or if you have any other proposals id love any kind of help thanks
And moebius reffed some pics from some age old prehistoric comic or something. Who fucking cares, it's just the circle of life. I do this nonstop and nobody will ever notice unless I become super popular and famous, and by that point it won't matter that I am a dirty plagiarist. Zero fucks given.
In fact I have the art of prometheus book lying right next to me and there's photobashed concept art that doesn't even try to hide the fact that it stole from photographers.
I have the requisite skill for all the bits and pieces, but I can never find the patience to put them together. After drawing one thing, my brain just sort of shuts down and moves on like a tape clicking to the next track.
It's something that even Adderall, in it's infinite focus, couldn't bull though. I spent so many years doing simple, repetitive doodles that I'm permanently stuck in the same mindframe; the same mode.
So how do I re-teach myself? Every conscious effort thus... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I should reiterate, perhaps, that in theory I should be able to render complete pieces. As I said, I have the necessary skill.
The trouble is that if, for a few minutes I draw an eye, and then stop, I never learned how to continue. I can sketch a face, and at a certain point my mind will think "this is done." And if I wish to go back and add to it, I simply don't know how. The part of my brain working with visual organization doesn't quite grasp the idea of continuity - it just works... Comment too long. I found myself a new hobby, drawing. Few days ago I picked up a book titled "natural way to draw" by Nicolaides. Very praised book. First exercise is blind contour then gesture, all fine. Now i got to ex.3, called cross contour. And im confused. In the table it says "Ex. 3: cross contours (1 sheet of drawings)". How much is that? Can someone who read a book explain this, like how should this exercise look like? Thanks in advance
Op here. I should also mention I did read exercise 3 description. It just says that cross contours is when u look at the figure/object, u start from outter edge and imagine ure touching the form and u should go over the mass/shape of the object horizontaly, to the other edge so it shouldnt be straight line. So my questions are: how much is 1 sheet of drawings and should i first do blind contour drawing and then do cross contour (it doesnt seem logical, since blind contour drawing is totaly off, and drawing cross contours over that will be....weird, but still i need confirmation)?
>>2387208 Style =/= drawing bad on purpose It means to alter realism and most of the time it requires greater skill than simply realism Claiming style for your lack of skill is voluntarily choosing to be bad at drawing Know the difference it could save your life >pic related This image is stylized but it's very clear that the artist is very skillful and could have done the image realistically if they wanted to. But they wanted to do it like they did because it looks cooler
