What's this board opinion on using 3D, photobashing and painting 3D renders when doing digital?

>>

There's not one uniform opinion across the board. You'll get some people who are against it and some who support it. I think the only thing that can be agreed upon is that if you do use those techniques then be upfront about it and don't try to give the impression it was done manually if it was not, and also be respectful of any photographers whose work you use.

The last 5 of the 7 artists I tried to collab were slow as fuck. They told me they'd have their part of the coloring done in a week. Most of them it took a month, the other 2 artists were under a week. I guess where I'm going with this is this; we have a lot of people come to this board looking to commission artists. We have a lot of threads also about clients being taken advantage of as well, artists taking forever, not doing work or just treating clients like shit. I never believed it was this bad until I tried to work with other artists.

When the fuck did...

Just because you had 5 bad experiences doesn't mean every artist is bad. It probably has a lot more to do with the kind of artists you seek out. How much are you paying? That's key in identifying whether or not you're hooked up with a good artist.
>>
>>2760365
Did you pay them any money to motivate them during production ?
The problem isn't the artists, it's the production manager, you, for being inexperienced in dealing with artists.
>>
>>2760371
>has more to do with the kind of artists
true. inexperienced fucks suffering dunning krueger can't even estimate how much time it will take to finish some basic stuff, let alone manage their time.

>how much are you paying
bullshit. inexperienced retards will tend to ask much more than the real market value of their work, because they basically doesn't know shit.

Why is it that Ireland has produced fuck all in terms of painterly achievement?

I know the influence of The Italian Renaissance didn't reach them, nor did Roman Imperialism, but holy fuck give me something to work with here. I can type in "Famous dutch painters" into google and I get REMBRANDT AND VERMEER but if I type in "famous irish painters" I get Degenerate O' Cuckington in pic related.

>>2756768
they've still given us francis bacon and tons of other competent artists that just aren't very well-known. not really fair to compare the achievements of the country to some place like the netherlands that was heavily involved with the renaissance, obviously they're not going to have a leonardo or a rembrandt because they largely missed out on all of that cultural exchange and artistic explosion.
>>
>>2756782
Fair enough, the reason I asked the question wasn't to disparage them, it was actually the opposite. I was specifically looking for irish artwork during various art movements and the only thing I found was a meager list of artists, wasn't the contribution I was expecting.
>>
>>2756799
yeah, their contributions to art seem to have been mostly literary. every country can't be an italy I guess. kinda the same where I'm from (US deep south), it seems like we've produced a lot of well-known authors but not that many visual artists.
