Are there any good books or websites that give homework on perspective? I'm trying to really learn perspective fundamentals, but I don't have something to keep me focused and guide me at the start. I work best when I have exercises I can follow until I become competent enough on my own.
I've got some perspective books and videos downloaded, but they just go over the concepts and don't give much in the way of homework.
Read up on Scott Robertson How To Draw then get his book on drawing Hot wheels car.
Yea, it sounds gay, but the hot wheels car book is full of exercises following up from How to Draw. That book won't be teaching you how to draw kids cars, it'll be training your eye to see perspective a lot better.
How do you get used to drawing on a tablet? I tried to use one but it felt so disorienting to draw there and your picture appears elsewhere. I mean, of course the obvious answer is "practise", but thats dumb, who practises anything ever?
I've spent a lot of time studying anatomy and how to create the human body from my mind. I've done well enough with it that I'd like to start to render my illustrations with colors and shadows. Problem is, I don't know how. I don't understand color theory or shading or light.
Looking up into the sticky, I see some stuff on it, namely The Dimensions of Color:
That is a huge amount of information and I'm having trouble absorbing it, but I'm trying. Does anybody have further recommended... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

One: What time of day do you feel is your most productive time of working on art?
With me it'd have to be at night. It's near impossible for me to do anything productive soon after I wake up except for menial tasks. At night I feel a lot sharper, its a lot more quiet, and I just feel like I can focus more.
Two: Has /ic/ ever tried making an art group Skype meetup? I understand that there'd be a few assholes that you'd have to weed out. But I feel like if you see your peers working on stuff in real time it'd make you want... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2371389 It worries me not. I look at art because I like to see pretty stuff, or for strong storytelling, not to be told for the 2500th that I should care about women rights and and fight against the reptilian illuminati government. Memes rarely give me that "Oh god that looks gorgeous" or "I'm feeling so many emotions right now" kind of deal.
a practice i always enjoyed was to get two people to give me the first word that came to mind, and to incorporate that in to a drawing. i think brainstorming original ideas takes a matter of stepping away from what you're used to and instead inventing on a conceptual, symbolic, and linguistic level. you could always pen down some words and figure out how to best portray them in a design sense.
also, i really dig the brushwork in that pic. if it's yours, how did you achieve that wash of colour? it's really nice.
A rage thread devoted to a fucking moron that still can't name the proper price of his illustrations. I was making this one bigass illustration for one game that i was working on for months. An illustration contains a detailed background and many characters and shit like that. I named the price today... 110$ dollars. 110$ fucking retarded dollars. And i sent that message already.
It's true that people say that eurofaggots ruining art-market. Im from a poor-ass town from europe. 110 is a nice amount of money here. My grandmother will appreciate those... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
It's never totally negative, there you have a commissioned good portfolio piece to show, next time bid higher for that kind of work, it's a fact you're now further than before, even if the bid/payment was shit
If you're desesperated and have money issues, then it's helping you anyways while you progress Artists are at a huge disvantage to bussiness their work, as we're our worse critics, so it fucking sucks, when you're moral is low you're willing to set yourself shit deals like that, best thing you can do is to make estimations...
