>>2359451 yeah i agree. 4chan has this curse that decent people feel like they have to act like assbags.
btw i made this thread to only get the name of the forum i found here, then forgot. it had a decent population, not very crowded. it's name had something like "medal, medallian, champion, badge" or something in it.

>>2355592 Try drawing the figure in a more interesting perspective, the way you drew the face and the upper torso begs for a 3/4 view unless you wanted a profile shot but keep in mind how far the torso can twist and turn.
Overlapping forms and being aware of what you cannot see in perspective will help you provide a more solid drawing otherwise you will end up with a flat and incorrect drawing.
As for the slime thing, try to have whatever it is interact with the figure some more for an exciting drawing, maybe?
Whenever i draw, i have this desire to make something good. Its gotten to the point to where i want to make something good, and i have forgotten why i even started drawing. What do you guys do to get past this?
If you're saying what I think you're saying, aspiring to make something good is fine. If you're enjoying the process and you're satisfied when you make something good, it doesn't matter if you've lost sight of why you started. If you're not enjoying the process, nobody but you can tell you why you got into drawing. Reflect on why you're doing it and get an answer yourself.
>>2359092 well, I know little about traditional coloring but your coloring looked like watercolored. aaaaand i guessed it right. kinda sad about the fact that's nib pen. I was hoping to know waterproof felt pen. anyway thanks for the info.
I don't know. I've posted this pic on few sites, including deviantart, facebook group, art forum and i was asking for a critique with absolutely no response. Now i know that if you're not active on deviantart and your art is not super good, you won't get much attention, but that shouldn't apply for the FB group and for the forum. Anyways ITT we post out artwork and critique others
>tl;dr: what girl or woman’s face would you use as a source-model for a drawing of Lady Justice (pic related)
I am going to make a large scale drawing of Lady Justice for my father (he is a lawyer). I pretend to use the classical pose of one hand holding the scale and other the sword (the scale higher than the sword, meaning that first there comes the trial, and only after it the punishment).
However, instead of a greatly athletic and Greek-profiled figure in a dress I will make a frail and skinny naked girl, meaning... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2358837 sorry i was being an asshole hungry for attention ok i realize i'm making it sound like one is better than the other. that's not what i want.
it seems like there's so many opportunities for digital artists and none for people who like to work with pen/marker/etc. I don't know where to find likeminded people or a support group. I would like to find people who are likeminded or learn about opportunities that I can work with others on pen and paper.
>>2358841 Different anon 1st off, as long as it was a geinuine grammatical mistake, this guy>>2358837 is just being a dick. IF you did do it on purpose, well, you made your peace there. 2ndly, if your wanting to become a commerical artist, it could be more difficult. Im not a commerical artist myself, so take this with a pound of salt, but i would think that as long as your making quality work at a good pace, and you scan it into your computer at a good quality, it shouldn't... I've noticed a new trend on /ic/, people are making threads about never 'making it'. These threads push the idea that its really difficult to make money from art, and this is true. A common counter argument to this is to suggest drawing porn. Is there any evidence that backs up this claim that it is easier to make money with porn commissions? Does anyone have any case studies? I find it hard to believe that anyone makes a decent living from it.
>>2358829 people suggest porn since there's a big market for it and it's easy to get in to. The pay ceiling is pretty low so its not great as a way to make a full living, but good for getting a bit of return for your work and getting a bit of experience with doing commissions for people
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises. Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up.
Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine.

how can people like drawing on those rougher sketchbooks? I use a mechanical pencil and it just smudges everywhere. It's even worse that I'm left handed so I'm forced to draw right to left so avoid smudges.
Also, comments? I should probably get into anatomy but I don't know where to start. Most resources seem to just throw at you an anatomy list and expects you to memorize every single muscle in the body.
