>>2349916 >caring its normal to like being liked (in a non-facebook way) in fact it can be great motivation to improve. there's no need to kill off your ego unless you're a giant douchebag. being proud of yourself is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
Finding satisfaction in getting lots of likes isn't the problem - the problem is when you get lots of likes and assume it's because you're hot shit, then going and telling everyone what hot shit you are. "Why should I listen to you when I get more likes than you lol" shit like that. That's when your ego gets in the way and makes you an intolerable shit to everyone around you.
Funny thing is I have alot of cans, yet Just do stencils. I Want to mix in graffiti with the posters I'm working on(the mall through out a shitload of vinyl posters after the holidays) and they are fucking fun to work on.
Right now I am drawing sample designs while at work.
>>2349803 Really nice drawing man. Could you maybe expand on what it represents?
The way you drew the eyebrow in an aggressive manner coupled with the dull expression on the mask really bring out the emotion of this piece imo. Showing how the character is suppressing her emotions, forgoing them in order to be the stoic person that the mask demands of her. The arrow through the head of the mask really shows how this facade won't last much longer and that this girl will be in for a ride awakening. And finally the way... Comment too long. Oftentimes I have my tablet propped on the edge of my desk, the bottom against my stomach, which can give you that tilt. Part of it is just forcing yourself to build the habit of using your elbow. I feel like with the space of a tablet using the shoulder isn't that convenient anyway.
>>2349735 >tfw almost 200k worth of markers burned in a fire don't have an actual picture of the markers, yeah it was covered by the insurance but seeing them all melted and disfigured made me feel really sad.
I tried one briefly the other day in the apple store. It's quite nice and if I already owned an iPad pro I'd get it in a heartbeat, but getting the iPad and the pen doesn't feel worth it. I didn't like the feel of the screen (as the other anon said - painting on glass). I dunno if there's any textured screen protectors around which might help. The software also seems limited, particularly not having an easy way to use shortcuts and stuff.
If I got one, it'd basically become a glorified sketchbook, I don't think it'd be any... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
How hard is it to actually get into the rule34/hentai/furry/porn industry? How many pics on average would you have to draw for free before getting any money from it? (Patreon, commissions etc.) Would you make more with just "normal" fan art?
>>2349422 this, i used to draw at cafe's (with a agreement with the manager ofc, i payed intrest) and i could get around 45-60 tl (15-20 US dolars) around 30 minutes. The tip is to target the eccentric hipster girl with her showoff boyfriend, since the boyfriend is gonna be the one paying, and cannot look poor next to the girlie, you can rip him off without worry.Young married/engaged couples also apply.
According to /ic/ the next step is to draw furry porn but i am not that desperate yet.

So before the thread dies, which will take about a year....
Anyone have someone under your radar for any reason? Any masterful anons that you admire? Any scrappy beginners who seem to have potential that you want to see grow? Or on the flip side, who are you gleefully watching to crash and burn either in the competition or in terms of their own artistic progress?
Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.
A pencil or bic pen should be all you really need to start.
If you want something a little fancier than standard pencils and pens, I really like the pentel pocket brush pen. Getting some fine liners also doesn't hurt. Maybe a few markers (might be better to stick with a set of greys to start) for tone.
Ok, so I no longer give a shit or feel bad everytime some autistic fuck tell me I should study drawing foundamentals.
I know I'm not the best, but I've seen worse shit on professional works on anime and cartoons on TV.
So, my question is, stop giving a fuck about other people opinions means I have mature as artist?
Of course I don't mean I don't wanna keep improving nor studying anatomy, just that perfection is impossible, maybe some time a drawing will have a mistake you overlook or another reason why it fails, and sometimes your drawing... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
