Do these type of pens (like faber castell also and even cheaper sharpie pens or staedtler fineliner I think they are felt tip but idk) degrade pretty quickly for everyone or am I using them wrong?
After a couple hours of use I find that they just don't work as nicely, particularly in that after just a little bit of use you must hold them at a 90 degree angle to get any ink to come out and when it does it just doesn't seem as bold as it was when I first started using it and the ink seems to skip some if you go even slightly fast.
Is this normal or am... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I've also used these faber castell pitt artist pens and the same thing seems to happen. Start out awesome but then they just don't seem as good. I really like the effect of using them on the side to vary thickness of line a little but that seems to stop working pretty quickly.
>>2329187 i get good use out of my copic fineliners. seeing as they're all i really use to draw traditionally with anyways. it seems the thinner they are the quicker they go out. so use the thinner ones for fine details so you can save them. and i use .1 for general lines.
sometimes if you let them sit for a bit they work like they normally do.
This is why nobody likes weebs or why weebs constantly produce the most medicore kitsch shit imaginable.
Theyre so one-dimensional and fanatical about this stuff they refuse to think for a moment. They rather be prentenious then geniunely learn. They are so hard-wired and starving for attention that drawing weeb shit has become a formality.
Hi ic/ , I'm making a 12 hour travel by bus tomorrow, I'd like to know if any of you can recommend me any kind of art lectures or videos I can watch while traveling to spend time, any advice or recommendation is appreciated.
>>2328985 Thank you, it's the kind of things i was looking for. >>2328981 I'm bringing my sketchbook, but half of my journey to the countryside will be at twilight/night so I'll have to rely on something else as well.
>>2328868 Im not a pro, but in my opinion it needs some post processing. Somehow the resolution also looks shitty sometimes. Also its not very interesting, maybe if you live there but not for someone else.
Do both. I started digitally and when I decided to go back to traditional for a while I started retaining things a lot quicker, because I actually cared if I fucked up since it was harder to fix. But that doesn't mean you can never do digital.
I feel like 100 posts about this will be made especially once the new year starts. Should we just get a thread for this so that we can keep it in one spot but also have some sort of way of tracking progress with one another? Could call it year long fundamentals thread or something like that but I doubt images of the perspective course will be exciting and not many people will stick through even that.
I'm now at term 2. Completely fucked up in term1, cuz i was a lazy shit, but now I adjusted it to my likings more. Gonna have a one month term of manmade objects after this term. Tbh term 1 was just getting the right mindset for me
>>2328603 If you want. It's not great but it's not garbage. It just looks a little kiddish. For example there's a lot of empty space on his chest and on the base. Try making the base smaller and making the mushroom bigger or even adding 2 more mushrooms of varying sizes. Starting over might be a good idea actually, personally whenever I start over on something my second one is always, always way better. Good luck!
