I've heard several times that a lot of Eastern Europeans are mobsters, Eastern Europe is poor and dangerous, etc. The British apparently don't like them coming to the U.K. and speaking their native languages (Polish, Russian, etc). I've also read Americans in the early 1900's didn't like Eastern Europeans coming over and in fact politicians signed an immigration bill reducing the number of immigrants from Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia.
