Why are Scandinavians so omnipresent on the internet when you hardly hear about their countries in real life?
Because the internet is the only place you can circumvent the Law of Jante.
I don't get this
It's not just Scandinavians, it's Brits too
ALL my internet friends have been Scandis and Brits. (+ USA)
Where the fuck are Germans, French and Italians etc. hiding?
Do they all play on their own localized servers?
I have had friends from Greece, Lithuania and Kuwait. Never had a German online friend.
I believe germans stick together.
You scandies speak better english then the average person here.
We are still ok compared to france and spain though.
Seriously, only russians have made me more angry then those two.
>We can't speak english and spam our shit the whole game.
You don't have to be held accountable.
The Jante faggots fucking hate this, that's why they are waging a war on the mean "comment trolls" in the newspapers.
In Sweden some guy tracks down people posting comments and goes to talk to them with a baseball bat. It's fucking insane.

Yes, in most games we do.
I used to hate German servers so I played on English speaking ones a lot. At least 50% of the people on there were from Scandinavia.
It's really strange considering your relatively low population. One could argue the reason is Scandis are good at speaking English, but the same goes for Dutch ppl and they are not that omnipresent.
I doubt it, there must be some reason why they act like they do.
as an aussie you have a lot to be thankful for, including not living in a third world shithole like most of russia lives in.
>A grown man finds people who make comments on internet shit irl, and intimidates them with a baseball bat.
What the actual fuck is wrong with that guy?
Is that kind of stuff popular?
It's a quality of life thing. Literally everyone has had access to internet from home for 20+ years already + decent enough skills in English to communicate with other people.
Even when I was a kid 20 years ago, everyone in my family (4 kids and both parents) had their own computer and we had a broadband internet access.
I get the impression from the Nordic threads they get really pissy if you say something they don't like.
Its a bit catty. Some annoying fuck will passively aggressively tell you to "not discriminate" over and over and "kill yourself"
He is a pseudo-communist, often involved with far left extremists.
I've only seen one episode and it was disgusting, ambushing people in public after hacking their emails etc and then confronting them with what they have said online, not letting them leave before they apologize on camera.
It's ironic though that the show is meant to stop e-hating but instead only fuels it with the "good guys" often harassing the shit out of the people exposed on the show, one of them even took his own life.
Just another day in Sweden tbh.
It's not a law.
It's not something we like.
It was a criticism of the way the Danish society is, and then it was extended to all of Scandinavia because it's similar.
In fact, here's a quote from the book it's from: "The law and religion of Jante shows us that when people have been held down for a suitable amount of time, they eventually take over the oppression themselves. Jante has given itself the law of Jante and are keeping themselves down, so that no one else has to bother."
Only literal retards think the law of Jante is some sort of positive thing.
>and Nordic countries seem to be about how much you can show off how rich you are.
It really isn't. Us making bantz on /int/ does not accurately represent reality at all.
In real life, people are almost ashamed of their wealth.
