Did they at lest inform ZUN that he had "approved" of it?
Amani had an awesome selection of Reimu figures, all sold out. I back ordered one and it turned out to be the same one J-List had in stock, but at a much better price.
Ended up buying another, different Reimu figurine off Amiami, used. For all I know I could have ordered a bunch of Reimu fragments with that one.
Is Zun unaware that Cirno is his third most popular character or something?
I don't know what you've been smoking, but in the latest 2015 poll, Cirno is #31, and she's only #41 in overall art on danbooru. Cirno is FAR from being the most popular Touhou character.
I love that this was the first result on Google for "Approved by ZUN" when I wanted to check that the ad was bullshit. Someone wanna ask the man himself what he thinks of this? His Twitter seems pretty active lately, but my moonspeak is weak.
As far as I can tell, most otaku see the Western otaku fandom as an oddity at best, and bothersome at worst, like with that recent game scandal and culture of piracy and little (good) OC.
Is the Doujin-scene tradition against piracy actually enforced, or do Japanese piraters upload in areas which are not apparent?
Anyone that bothers to check the IPs they're connected to while torrenting will also see a flood of Japanese IPs. Our existence lets them attack pirates and other undesirables without looking at themselves
