*Reimu feels the weight of her sins from the youkai she slaughtered*
I liked Undertale, I thought it was cute and had good music, a real shining light of heart in the muck of shovelware and blandness that is the Western independent games scene.
But holy shit it needs to go away.
It wont. Kinda like how Dark Souls was fun, until the autistic community became a thing.
>It's so difficult.
People will parade it around until you are fucking sick of it, and despise it.
I would hardly call most western game shovel ware. I see just as much shovel ware from both japan and USA from developers that are not Nintendo, Konami, Valve, Naughty dog, Neversoft, Hal Labatory, and Insoniac games. since if companies like these almost never release a shovel ware title they should not count.
>Nintendo, Konami, Valve, Naughty dog, Neversoft, Hal Labatory, and Insoniac games
>companies like these almost never release a shovel ware title
Uh, what? I think you either have no idea what you're talking about or have very low standards.
These companies literally release nothing but shovelware.
You should post this on /v/ and see what reactions you're gonna get.
I don't go to /v/ for these reasons.
*2hu is shit
*EA will never make a good game
* "insert game francise here" every game in X decade has been shit
* Insert Fanbase here allways have to defend X fanbase.
/v/ is pretty much 4chans equivalent of tumblr minus the art and feminazis.
From what I remember, it started when the ex-bf of some indie dev that was making a """""""videogame""""" called 'Depression quest' published on his blog the proof that she was sleeping around with videogames """"""journalists"""""". Incidentally, these same journalists worked for some videogames review sites that gave her shitty pseudo-VN high praise, so it was (in my opinion, rightly) assumed that she only got this publicity in exchange for sex. Since there was already much talk about corruption and collusion between reviewers and publishers in the sector, /v/ started getting in arms against the establishment. From there it spilled over to Reddit and Twitter, and degenerated into the whole petty hashtag war between 8gaggers and social justice warriors that we all know. I don't know much about this latter part and the whole moderation wars on /v/ deal since I stopped caring about that board long before it all happened
Well, luckily they all migrated to 8gag since discussing GG is almost a bannable offense now. Also consider that I presented a very abridged version of the story, the drama was at least ten times more severe than what I told. Also I consider it the ultimate proof that /v/ is mostly made of underages, since who else would give a fuck about videogames reviews?
Eh. Maybe. It's a he-said, she-said scenario. The fact of the matter is that I simply don't exactly care much for "Muh vidya game Journalism", simply because you get info from word of mouth. Besides, I'd much rather worry about Illuminati or some shit like that. At least the whole ordeal isn't petty as fuck.
I agree, I was just giving my recollection of the facts from my sad days as a /v/ermin. At least all that pathetic drama made me realize how much of a shithole without any redemption that board was
I'm fucking invincible!!
Asriel should be Yukari, you can somehow correlate her to Flowey's savescumming powers and give her a reason to manipulate Gensokyo the way she does.
Meanwhile Marisa should be sans.
Ironically so far I've seen the two having the opposite roles.
Made Shiki an magic floaty girl.
Best listened with this.
Touhou threads there are pretty okay when they're alive. It's a decent place for getting soku games.
Better than here for that, at least. Can't get melty on /jp/ anymore either.
But yeah otherwise it's pretty shitass.
>No one has bothered doing those threads for months now, maybe year.
It's become an /f/ thing, oddly. Probably because it has sound.
Someone draw Yamame with 5 eyes and 6 arms already
This game was fun but the final bosses except for Sans were way too easy.
Flowey was reasonably tough but they fucked it up by putting checkpoints in it.
And you couldn't even lose to Asriel.
I think the main idea for the final bosses besides Sans was "memorable", which the game certainly does well. Sure, it's scripted and impossible to lose, but it does leave quite an impression.
Reimu is feeling too full and happy to worry about things like sin and murder right now.
I cleared it in one go my first playthrough but I cut it pretty close at times.
On my second playthrough though I fucked up the timing during the ballet section and missed the act button so I went into the next part with almost no HP.
