Where do you order your Japanese snacks from? I ended up trying J-List at some point in time but it took them a month to deliver my shit and I live a couple hours away from where they store their drinks. I had to contact them multiple times and ask them to get their shit together before they finally sent it in the mail.
Amazon is the place for me, shipping can be a bit expensive though. The price depends of course on what you get though, they vary wildly. I'm so jealous that Japan get so much better snacks than the US though and no matter what importing is gonna be a bit expensive even if your getting the stuff in bulk and having it around for a long time to yourself.
You don't just go to the local Japanese supermarket?
I have been here in japan for a couple of months and seems like every month a bunch of new stuff comes up and a bunch of other stuff disappears from the stores. Do they return latter or I have to try everything before it is gone forever?
I've been contemplating ordering a snack package from Amiami (Okashi box). Just a bit concerned of any possibility of it being stopped at customs because of it being a food item. I know that perishable foods would likely be stopped but I've no idea when it comes to sweets. Anyone have much experience with this?
Refrigeration technology is an amazing thing anon, if the amount of US, Australian, European, South American and other foreign produces currently available in Japan are of any indication
