>prices still the same
why the fuck isn't it dropping?
ahahahaha you thought prices would drop hard and fast?
anon cmon man, its going to be a year or so before they start to drop.
although i have seen a decline in price on ammo and ar-15 and glock stuff.
Would /k/ want to serve alongside women in the military?
Might not be strictly /k/ related, but seeing as the most basic form of combat is hand to hand, I thought I'd ask here.
For modern warfare uses as well as self defense, are there any martial arts that are worth it?
I personally think convention ones like Karate and Kung Fu seem flowery and outdated and I hear much fanfare about modern styles like Krav Maga and Systema.
Mate it was one typo, the a and the l didn't quite hit, I know. Could you stop being pedantic though and just stay on point? I came here for advice on martial arts, not on my English.
>put a PTR up on Armslist with a PA 1-6x scope, chest rig, a bunch of mags, and a few hundred rounds of .308
>say I would prefer to outright sell it but I'm open to trades
>make sure to emphasize that I DO NOT want an AR since I already have three of the fucking things
>get eight offers in 24 hours
>each and every one of them is trying to offer me an AR
>they're not even close to...

>X for sale or trade, no ARs!
>Hey will you take an AR?
This shit is why I don't sell guns online any more, or in general if I can help it.. If I'm not 100% sure I want it forever then I don't buy it. On occasion I might sell one to a buddy or a friend of a friend type deal.
I will say forum sales (arfcom/gunboards/etc are usually alright because people are a little more dialed in than when surfing on their phone..
well your learning at least
Do the Russians really have the most advanced tanks now?
Is the US really 30 years behind?
Why do so many assault rifles have the charging handle on the right, when a right handed shooter can cock the gun quicker with a left hand? I mean, Germans got it right with MP-40/StG-44 already!
In some guns it's slightly less work to manufacture - mill the ejection port and charging handle at the same time. Other guns it's to keep the moving handle away from your face. In the AK ... I actually don't know, I'm guessing to keep the handle away from face since it wouldn't be any more difficult to stamp the receiver with a cutout on the left side for the handle and put the dustcover/selector on the left too
Questions That Don't Deserve their own thread
Found out that my grandfather may have left behind an SKS in Argentina when he passed away.
Is there any legal way to take it from Argentina to America? Currently living in America
Not without a fuck ton of import/export bullshit. I'm not saying you should smuggle it in but it would likely be easier than trying to import it. But you will get caught and ass fucked in federal prison.
Just bought a c9. Bully me.
/k/ I am looking for a good solid EDC folding knife. Birthday is coming up and looking t get myself something nice.
What are your recommendations? Needs to be stainless steel, about 3-4'' blade. High quality. Cheaper the better. But interested in all recommendations.
Thoughts on this knife
I'm a fan of CRKT knives. I have an older model of this:
You can get them on amazon for cheaper and I like the assist.
What is the reason that you never served?
Hay /k/ I'm innawoods right now posting on mobile, I have reason to believe someone has been poaching on my land but now absolute proof, I'm wondering if you have any advice on finding said proofs
Anyone else here really like the PDW concept? Sure its a bit obsolescent, but they're cool.
They aren't obsolete. There just isn't a round in existence that is best for this role.
Bottle neck pistol cartridges like 5.7x28 are a start but they are not good enough.
R&D for making new ammo and weapons is expensive but that is nothing compared to the risk of being a failure on the open market.
The criteria for a good PDW round would be.
>2000-3000 fps MV at 16" or less

The PDW concept is interesting however with advancements in service rifles especially in the US they become semi-irrelevant.
A p90 is about 5.7 pounds
while a loaded M4 comes in at about 7.5 pounds.
So instead of saving 1.8 pounds
You don't sacrifice combat efficacy
You don't need to procure expensive proprietary guns and ammunition
You don't need to add another layer of training to use the PDW's
You don't further complicate your logistics.
The whole point is size and portability. Vehicle crews, pilots etc etc. It's definitely a niche role, and not a very important one worth pouring millions into.
Bottom line, we're not likely to see any great strides in this area anytime soon.
>bongland police L I T E R A L L Y can't even afford proper 5.11 Tactical combat pants
Lol. Just fucking lol. :^)
How pathetic can a modern military force get?
does anyone know what this means?
So what so special about this ammo?
Quick, I need every post, image and more about how a revolution in the USA would end with the govt. getting BTFO'd.
Should have just made a bait thread.
>SHALL NOT BE-
>browning automatic rifle was obsolete by ww2
>mg34 was superior to it in every aspect
>lol 20 round magazine
>no belt fed action
>slow rate of fire because MUH ACCURACY in a fucking suppression weapon
why was the inter-war US military so hesitant to adopt new belt fed designs?
seriously, why dont we have bigger bayonets for modern rifles?
Don't need the length anymore. A six inch blade on a 20 inch barrel is already going to be hard to maneuver in a house where you may actually need it. Actually even without the blade a full length rifle is cumbersome, hence shorter carbines
France and Britain haven't gotten into a good fight in a while now, too distracted by Germany shenanigans these last couple wars and so.
You know what would stop the immigration trend in Europe? A good war.
Maybe that's why everything is so out-of-whack, France and England NOT fighting has tossed the universe out of alignment.
What happens when NATO countries fight each other?
Not if Le Pen actually gets in and starts a FREXIT
>no s-ducts confirmed
>generic curved ducting on par with f-111 fatvark
this kills the vatnik
>30 year old tech demonstrator for forward swept wings less stealthy than modern stealth fighters
Su-47 was modified for PAK FA weapons bay tests around 2008 or so. Its original weapons bay was much wider. Why do ignorant mad fatniks like embarrassing themselves on /k so much? Is this some sort of a fetish?
/k/ is this acceptable for a new guns-fag who has been shooting his ar15 once to twice a month for the last six months? Pic related is my best grouping today at 100 yards sitting on a bench with the rifle resting on sandbags, aimpoint compm4, and geissele trigger...
Or should I kill myself now so the ammo isn't wasted on me?
if you told me this was standing at at 100 yards id say great job. Rested with an aimpoint and Giselle trigger that gun is wasted on you. you should have learned to shoot with irons and a average trigger first. bit late for that now just practice more.
Well /K/, I did it. After many hours lurking and researching and factoring, I bought my first AR. How did I do? Paid 799.99
> Hex mag
> No sights
Idk if you overpaid or not, but go for PSA next time. This is a good start tho annon. Throw on some mbuis and get some pmags or lancers. If the hexmag works then keep it obviously but they aren't the most reliable.
I'm tired of hearing the same whines about the 5.56.
>5.56 is useless out of barrels less than 20 inches
>5.56 needs to be moving at least 2500 fps to be effective
These statements are correct if your shooting 55 grain FMJ. With newer bullets such as the 75-77 grain otm/tmk, reliable fragmentation can be had at around 2000 fps, from a 16 inch barrel extending effective fragmentation range to well over a couple hundred yards.
TMK fragments at slower speeds than SMK, but many people dont understand that all 7.62 is not m80, not all 5.45 is 7n6, that all.......
Start handloading fag
I'm buying a handcannon.
It'll be my first revolver.
Is there any special shit to know about a revolver, besides
>mind the gap
that's different from most other weapons?
Are you the 8" 500SW guy that had a post last night?
On reloads, watch out on pushing the cast lead bullets (non-gas checked) too fast, or the thin jacketed ones. Buy HSM cowboy ammo; they use Starline brass and you can 'cheaply' build up a brass stock.
So , whats the situation in Ukraine ?
Please keep this civil guys , only facts
Do the rebels care that Trump won? Does it affect them at all?
What are your plans for y2k?
Are you willing to fight the computers if it means risking your life for your family?
What are the allure of these rounds?
>more expensive than factory M193/55gr .223 ball
>can't use at indoor ranges
>inferior ballistics and wounding potential against unarmored targets
Should I join the Green Berets?
Hey /k/, I just bought pic related. It's a German police jacket (yes, it's not actually 'milsurp', but it looks like it), because I thought it looked cool. I could have also gotten two Swedish milsurp jackets for less money, but they didn't look as cool and a I'm a little scared that cuckholdery is contagious. So /k/, what do you think of my purchase? Also post pics of your own jackets.
