What the hell man. Someone at the ATF is having a bad day
What does /k/ blast bambi with?
>Remington 870 Express Mag 28" Full Choke 3" 000
>Rossi M92 38/357 .357 158g HP
>Glock 19 115g FMJ (because ~35m tree stand noggin' shots are fun)
Does really just shoot paper and type on keyboards?
And sometimes little critters.
Marlin 915Y .22S/L/LR. This particular tree rat ate a 29g Golden Bullet short.
Also give tips on how to improve my 5 minute war club
Ok most of you /k/ikes are poorfags, slav weebos, /k/ids or WROL SHTF basement dwelling survivalists. So why isn't the TT-33 the SKS of pistols on this board?
Its cheap as borscht.
Can use modified 5.56brass,primers,strippers.
Simple to disassemble.
Indestructible solid overbuilt parts.
Less than an inch wide.
Surplus will penetrate level IIA armor
Why doesn't every one of you own one???
Because the Zastava M70A variant is in 9mm Luger and features a real manual safety, being priced way below $300, so it's better in every practical way than the old 7.62mm army ones.
>Surplus will penetrate level IIA armor
Ammo which isn't typically found these days.
Besides, if you're fighting someone in armor you should use a rifle. Even so, there's solid berylium copper hollowpoint 9mm ammo which is commercially available and which has been shown to defeat L3 vests with plates.
The gun shop in my town is selling a Gyrojet for 350, and a franchi 15 shotgun for 750:do i bite and buy or should i pass?
So, I'm thinking axes are possibly one of the greatest improvised weapons. You can get a decent hatchet for relatively cheap and they're good for yard work, and should you need a weapon, they would be easy to use. Pic kinda related
So the tool that has also been used as a weapon and has similar forms in their dedicated weapon form is probably the best kind of improvised weapon? Next you'd say that a knife or a bludgeon of some kind are also good improvised weapons.
That and it was readily available because it's a common agricultural tool there.
A machete is fast, yeah, and it's good as a tool when used against light woods, but compared to a tomahawk, it lack the ability to pierce and breach harder targets. Axes also allow for hooking and manipulating in CQC, obviously if you're trained in that. A proper full tang axe has a lot of merit as a tool for urban fighting.
>/k/ in a nutshell
Who here likes iron sights? I read the USMC documents on this thing and I'm actually a little impressed. BZO wise it has a lot of utility.
1 Set rear site elevation to 3/6 (300 yards)
2 Fire at 36 yards adjusting front site tip as needed to change shot placement.
Now your rounds will impact at point of aim at 36 and 300 meters.
If you flip the rear site to the large "0-2" aperture, you are now BZO to hit closer to point of aim at 0-200 yards. Notice the aperture is set higher (lowering your point of impact) and to the right (to account for the quarter turn of windage that is made when you rotate the rear site on the threads).
For what its worth these sights are pretty idiot proof and I would say pretty reliable. Its hard to fuck them up I guess.
How do other anons zero their weapons? Each site/weapon will sort of have its own BZO procedure right? I notice a lot of kids at the range drop thousands on a rifle and nice glass but never seam to high target. I am guessing this is because they zero their shit at 100 yards or whatever but past that their elevation needs to be adjusted. Or something. But basically they are not using their glass the way it was designed, I'm sure each optic has a way to set it up so you can hit point of aim at 25/200 for example, then use different marks on the optic to adjust for range.
Well /k/ I bought my first firearm today. I settled with a mossberg 702 Plinkster .22lr
I was using gift card money and some cash I had to get one and I say i am pleased. Other than some feeding issues. The rifle shoots nice and steady. My knowledge of firearms are slim so im slowly learning.
What other budget guns are out there that I could have chose as well that are a good choice?
Where does a novice go from here? I've also shot a type 56 sks from the old days and a couple glocks in the 40-45 cal range. (Gen not sure)
For 100 bucks not much. For 200 bucks you're into some lower-end, but decently reliable, shotguns. Between 2-300 is the magic number for beginners. You could get most of the EAA lineup of handguns which are good, police trade-in Glock and sometimes Sigs, used higher end shotguns of semi-auto or pump origin, anything Taurus has ever made because their fanboys won't "take less than what I think it's worth", used Berettas be it sub-compact up to full size battle pistols and 3/4 of the compact/subcompact...

I see thanks for the input. I know next time ill be shelling a little more money because its true you get what you pay for.
Now Im not trying to be a "g" or nothing but has anyone dabbled with intratec products?
I had another choice of buying a high point for little more that looked "okay" but I hear people trash talking the brand alot. I even asked a friend he said they aren't bad but I wouldn't protect my life with it.
>intruder breaks through a window at 2am
>I'm asleep but think it's just my mom breaking a glass (wtf)
>my mom gets up and goes into the hallway sees the guy and screams
>I get up and instinctively grab my Glock and run out my room
>see the situation and run infront of my mom screaming "GET OUT" whilst pointing the gun at the intruder
>he runs away out of the window he came...

ITT: mall ninja shit
Where does the stereotype of the shotgun being the ideal HD weapon come from?
the fact that it functions as a very good HD weapon.
the meme of "lol nobuddy get scurr when someone racks a shotgat" thing started here though. most fuckers doing a B and E aren't looking for a confrontation just some easy money and will skedaddle at the slightest hint there will be trouble
In the UK, there's a long-running comic series called "Commando". Most of it focuses on WW2, but they do other conflicts sometimes, and it is jingoistic as fuck, even by /k/ standards.
Does [insert your country here] have anything similar?
The year is 1913. You've been offered a job as a security guard for a private company's office in Hong Kong. As compensation for being relocated overseas, the company is willing to purchase any pistol you desire for you to use while on the job. They'll be able to get virtually any handgun available on the market, as long as it isn't obscenely expensive or rare.
What do you get?
Does it really happen as often as the movies say it does?
Depending on the army for sure, low discipline often leads to plenty of rape. Even then, when you're forced to march everywhere getting fucked by just about everyone the morality of rape tends to stop meaning anything.
I can't recall it being an enormous issue with NATO for awhile though.
Hello Washingtonians I need to know where some decent publicly maintained ranges are. I will help to keep it clean. If anyone can help me score some coordinates or an address possibly somewhere in monroe area that would be cool. Thanks fags.
What's the risk level on bringing a cali-banned gun into california?
Post Future Guns.
Or theory's on the future of small arms.
The next big breakthrough, will be the implementation of polymer cased ammo.
The proliferation of body armor, and military grade exoskeletons, will allow soldiers to carry more ammo, and to be covered with more plates.
10mm WILL replace 9mm, as 9mm lacks both penetration, and terminal effect.
The implementation of airburst Grenade Launchers, will dominate combat past 200M.
Urban/Space Station combat, will see that bullpup rifles become dominant.
I saw a video of pic related on youtube a few years back, I'll try and find it. The guy had managed to make a real firing Halo franchise assault rifle (assuming MA5B). I'm guessing he molded a frame around a 10-22 or something
Considering you have the know-how, resources, and tools to do so, how much money would it cost to build a modernized p51?
My absoulute dream is to have what is esstentially a p51 with a modern power plant, no weapons (unfortunately), and modern instruments and communications?
Would it be cheaper to just buy an older one?
Is 699 for a decent shape Hakim a good price? Spotted one at my local fun shop and it's the closest i'll get to having a Gewher 43 for a while. Also i'm behind enemy lines in California.
I'm 18 and I'm looking to get my first handgun. I want a double stack 9mm and was convinced for a while that I should get a Glock 19. However I've recently been looking at the FNS-9 and I think it might be a better option. I won't be able to carry until I'm 21 so the DNS might be a better gun to practice with for now.
You should, they're great guns. The FNX that >>31980375 mentioned is also a good choice if you'd like something DA/SA. I've put a couple of thousand rounds through my FNS-40, and have never had any problems.
What do you do in this situation? How would you get out of a riot?
pic related is from the ongoing Portland riot.
how would one go about learning wilderness survival skills?
Watch YouTube, practice in your backyard, then graduate to practicing while you're camping
Then start testing yourself with a support network in place for when you fail. (You will fail.)
33, 66 or 99 decides the new furniture for my AR
Oh god my anus clinched a little on those dubs
Let's say you have a captain rank. Would you say: "This is captain"
I don't even know if her rank in mil or policing organizations was ever discussed. I think she earned the nickname "The Major" because of her seriousness and ability. I could be wrong though. It's discussed in an episode about how the sniper became acquainted with her. It's a very eye opening episode.
>I am not a robot
If you are of superior rank, and it's on the telephone, not uncommon. Usually if you're talking to a subordinate they should just gather it by the way your talking to them and recognize your voice.
If subordinate, Sir this is "rank" name would be acceptable, but if you've known them more than 5 minutes you'd just say last name.
What is with people shooting other people's targets at the range? Has anyone else been running into a lot of assholes at the range?
I bought a nice metal .22 pop up target for plinking at the range just to have some asshole with an AR shoot it up and ruin it before I even got to shoot it up. Is this common? Should I save my money when it comes to nice targets until I have my own property to shoot on? In this same range trip a couple of idiots decided to stand on top of the shooting bench and hip fire their shotguns. The last couple times I've been to the range...

You must put off a huge beta faggot stench. Seriously - I guarantee you this would never happen to me. If you put off a vibe that you're a little douche that won't do shit.. people will fuck with your little beta ass. If you put off a vibe like you got screws loose and/or are just looking for a reason to knock someones lights out... promise you people don't fuck with you.
TLDR: Grow some fucking testicles.
The Pentagon says the future of warfare is urban. Small pockets of combatants surrounded by thousands of noncombatants. Multiple "Battle of Fallujah" incidents in even more populated environments, highrise residences everywhere.
Are traditional infantry units trained to deal with these kinds of environments? Or does this require a complete teardown in training regimen? Modern School of Infantry mindsets tack urban combat on as a "nice to have".
Impossibly small alleyways, low light for days on end.
Unfriendly migrant populaces from all corners of the world, communications breakdowns among different populations all within a single square mile. And you and your squad in the middle.
Seems pretty straightforward, just use gas to avoid buildings collapsing on innocents or innocents getting hit by shrapnel or ricochets. When you're done gassing, send in a fuckoff huge bulldozer and excavator to clean up, with a few troops managing leftovers.
Reminder SIG is a shit company with no ethics making the gayest guns on earth and being run by that Douche that ruined Kimber.
This is at least twice as gay.
Have drugs ever been tested by an official military in the hopes of improving combat effectiveness? If not why?
I'd say most major armies in the 20th century did. I recall that during WW2 the Germans experimented with giving their troops some amphetamine\opiod mix and made them just march in circles for 12 hours a day. In the short term the drugs absolutely work but you're basically just pushing your body way past it's limits so it's by no means sustainable.
