Does anyone on /k/ own one? I'm thinking of getting one because it seems like it's damn well worth the cost. I'm nearing my 4th pistol and I want to put fiber optics on all of them and getting individual adjustment tools for them will be more expensive.
Plus, I can charge people a fair price to use it at the range to get some of that money back along with lending it out to friends.
I'm having some trouble removing my stock Shield's front sight with a set of punches and a craftsman hobby vise. The thing won't budge and I'm suspecting if it's either the front sight according to the internet comes very tight from the factory or that my vise isn't up for the task.
I'll get some PB blaster on it in a few days and try again. That along with hooking a few of my buddies I got into shooting up with a convinient way to get their sights in is why I'm looking...

I've no experience with those universal tool, and don't know how "universal" they are.
Most aftermarket sights come with brass punches, so you know how these manufacturers feel about sight tools being that important.
Get a caliper. There's no reason to "zero" a pistol sight. It should be in the center. Don't zero it to fix your bad shooting habits.
>jump cuts through the difficult part you need help getting done
>no information online on how to do it
Every fucking time.
that was me when I was first putting together an AR upper and trying to find all the info possible. I needed a rundown on everything like how to use a torque wrench and how much grease should I use on the threads for the upper and there isn't really "explain it like I'm a kindergartener" level stuff out there. No, I never used a torque wrench before I put together an AR.
And then you learn some mechanical aptitude and figure it out for yourself, proceeding to never put the very information you were searching for online damning others to the same exact fate.
Been there OP, it's a vicious cycle but we gain strength through adversity.
>proceeding to never put the very information you were searching for online damning others to the same exact fate.
I'm actually planning on making a video on how to do certain things for this exact reason.

I've recently bought STALKER Call of Pripyat on steam while it's on sale and it's given me a push to finally look into actually doing a STALKER challenge. My plan is to bring a friend and go trekking and cheeki breeki up abandoned structures but I would like some tips or general information.
For one, I live in New York State, sister state to Commiefornia, so I'm not entirely sure on the open carry laws regarding rifles. My friend and I have discussed that we'd both like to bring mosins since most other things are classed as assault...

Nogunz faggot here. Was looking at mexicos new assault rifle and was wondering why the conventional ak/ar style layout hasn't been totally replaced in modern armies by the bullpup layout? I know maybe there's some problems like slightly clunky trigger mechanisms that might be a problem for people and there snowflake firing range guns but do issues like that really stop it being standard issue in lots of armies? Or is there bigger issues that outweigh the designs benefits of compactability and reasonable barrel length in a single package?
bullpups are generally awkward to reload, and even the best ones are difficult to reload when prone. likewise, you mention the trigger, but don't forget the control layout is often widely spaced out as the controls are physically near the parts they affect in order to function.
they don't generally offer enough of a difference to make them worthwhile to adopt for larger armies
They don't really offer much over more conventional designs and require a lot of investment to implement (retraining everyone, etc) and the only real noticeable advantage is the shorter barrel but most modern designs are modular enough to where if a situation calls for such barrel lengths you can just use a standard gun with new parts. Trigger and other shit comes after.
I think for a pdw they make sense because it's already shortening a design meant for cqc use. But as a rifle the cost and disadvantages outweighs the limited benefit. France, one of the first...

Now that the dust has settled, what's the verdict?
Just magpul'ed my Colt 6920 all up. It took me longer than I am willing to admit to install the trigger guard. I have an Aimpoint Pro on the way and I am trying to decide on a light and mount combo for my raifu. Is a forward grip just a meme? Should I add anything else other than the Aimpoint and light? Thanks!
Hey /k/ I'm gonna be in Vegas for a few days and wanted to bring my funs along. What's the best place in town to go shooting? Because the FFLs charge way too much I'm not planing on renting anything.
Range 702 told me their lane rentals are $10 and according to their FAQ I can bring my own ammo as long as it's not steel, tracer, incendiary, etc.
Vegasfag here go to groupon and see what deals they have or talk to the concierges at whichever hotel you're staying at, they usually have hookups. I havent really heard anything about range 702 except for some guy killed himself there a while ago
I'm helping someone move and there's gonna be down time. Rest assured I'm gonna go and party my ass off, but I live in California and the last range within a few hundred miles of me just shut down and I need to break in a new AR bolt.
Breda 30 vs Chauchat
Which one was worse?
Breda was worse.
Chauchat was completely functional. It had issues similar to other WWI era machine guns, but overall worked pretty well compared to some of its contemporaries. The ones with the biggest issues were the American conversions. The Breda was a piece of shit with an exposed action that was fed by crappy stripper clips. It jammed constantly. It was designed in 1930 by a designer still stuck in the late 1890s.
Anyone ever buy a bullet proof face mask like pic related. As someone that like's Payday 2 I've always wondered if they are practical. Would it prevent penetration but leave your brain scrambled? Would you look like sloth the rest of your life? Is it even legal?
it doesn't really make sense unless you're in hand to hand combat where someone is going to be really fucking trying to hit your face.
People are shooting for center mass. the whole point of a gunfight isn't to tank as many hits as you can, but be mobile enough to avoid getting hit.
They're meant to protect you in case a bullet comes in at a deadly graze.
A direct hit would most likely kill you, but stop the bullet as well.
This all depends on the round, though.
So /k/ here is a question I have for you: is it possible to tap gas from the barrel of a revolver, send it through the cylinder axis, and use that gas to somehow cock the hammer on a revolver, essentially making a SA/DA that works like a semi-auto?
is it posible to hold a m60 like a pistol batman does and fire it like he does?
Only if you're Batman or a super soldier.
I am looking at a Pump action shotgun for field use; Skeet trap sporting clays and possibly hunting.
Shotguns I am thinking about so far:
Older Remington 870 wingmaster
Benelli nova field
I can find both of these under $300 in my area.
Did look at Mossberg 500 but wasn't to exited about it, Remington 870 is a bit more popular.
All 3 you listed work. A pump shottie is extremely simple design with little room for improvement. Mossberg, Remington, Benelli and any other manufacturer with even a halfway okay rep is good when it comes to pumps. Keep in mind that Mossberg and Remington have the best aftermarket, however.
>Russins admit that BuK hits ships too
Can this be linked to mysterious Norwegian ferries that were sunk? Were the Yemenis firing BuKs at the US ship?
>you will never take a break from jihad to play paintball with your bros
Why don't you open carry daily /k/?
If it's illegal in your state why do you live there?
I've only seen open carry in either Walmart or taco bell. Because you have to be full on retard to open carry. You're essentially saying " hey! Shoot me first! I'm the only possible vague threat looking to be an heroed. "
>If it's illegal in your state why do you live there?
You know that there are other considerations for why people live where they do, right?
how much gun stuff you wanna own?
i was hoping id have more of this list in the green before the election, but been poor the last 2 years
Someday I'm gonna drop >8k on a wwii sten. Until that day I'm just going to keep buying weird looking pistols that catch my fancy. Next up is one of these if i can find one in decent shape.
Hello fellow /k/ommandos. I have a US 1958 Korean War Parka I am trying to sell and am wondering the current value of it today.
Also show me your war shit
Hey /k I'm new to guns and I want a gun that is fun and cheap to shoot, I'm willing to spend a max of 1,000$ maybe a little more if needed.
gear queer invasion edition
Is this a good drop in quad rail?
Can anyone identify the web gear these guys are using?
Alot of third world "freedom fighters" will sow their own webgear, and what they do buy is likely a knockoff. Not the case here, but it's important to know that not everything is Gucci brand Gucci web gear
It's all fucking gone.
All his videos; the Apache Leggings, OSEC Blue, his series VII or VIII suit - it's all fucking gone from YouTube, with the only trace of them ever existing being the thumbnails left on search engines.
Did anybody save anything? Is there a repository I can access? I doubt the Internet Archive has them, and I hope to God that they're cached or something, but did anybody at all save the videos? And why are they gone in the first place? Too many JewTube trolls?
Pic related: thumbnails of some of his videos.
>look up Troy Hurtubise
>See videos from late '80s of his "Ant-Bear suit"
>blurry video of dudea hitting him with 2x4s, swinging logs, hitting him with a truck and pushing him down a hill

What is /k/'s opinion on the Glock 21 chambered in 45.? Pic entirely unrelated...
Arlington, Texas police carried and loved them. They had to switch to .40 cals due to the split tail cops who couldn't handle them. Chick cops are too weak to use a .45 cal. So the entire department had to suffer because of political correctness.
What kind of shotgun is best suited for suicide?
cheapest one you can find ATF/FBI. Better have the balls to do it and you better not use a firearm.
Weapons that are the most unholy. Post them for Satan. Weapons to use against the jews?
Bump for halloween
What is the ideal bullet weight?
>5.56 starts at 40 cents a round
Maybe I'm just a faggot but I swear it wasn't that high a few months ago. I'm at school, so I'm broke right now so I haven't been keeping track, but I swear it was closer to 35 cents over the summer.
This is only going up, isn't it?
The A-10 is a joke in this day and age. It is only kept alive by fanboys and the Air Force's refusal to let the Army have any of their precious fixed-wing goodies.
A attack variant of pic related could do the same job better. Hell, a modernized OV-10 could do the same job better.
