I like guns but I don't rust myself with maintaining an AR or something and I also don't have that much experience with weapons other than shotguns as well.
So I thought I would get myself a bolt action rifle for hunting and sport. Since my mother is Turkish and a bit of a nationalist, I thought that this MKE rifle would be fun to have as Turkish army apperantly uses it as well..
I made a bit of researh and found that it has 0.8 MOA and some things I really have no idea of. Comes with a case, cleaning kit, and etc. Talked with Zenith guys from facebook as well and they are saying that the kit and the case it comes with pretty much makes the gun very amateur friendly. The guy at the company also offered me few boxes of ammo for the rifle as well as a gift.
I am pretty much set on this rifle but I was curious about your opinions and wondering if there was any cheaper alternatives. I am doing fine financially but I would still considering going for something else if it is much cheaper.
These are the company specifications
Caliber – 7.62×51 mm NATO
OA Length – 48.62 inches
Barrel Length – 26 inches
Weight Empty – 14.1 pounds
Operation – right hand bolt
Sights – removable rear drum for elevation and windage, front protected post
Magazine – 10-round amber polycarbonate
Colors – black
Includes – rugged plastic carry case, two (2) 10-round magazines, factory cleaning kit, two (2) extra take-down pins, factory Picatinny style optics mount, factory sling and 5-year warranty
Additional – barrel is threaded into receiver and has rugged muzzle brake. Rifles controls are fully adjustable. Optics ready, scope not included
And the price is 6,500 dollars. Are there any other bolt action rifles for around 2-3k anons?
You trust yourself maintaining a $6,500 bolt action rifle, but not a $500 AR? Why?
That's a lot of money to sink into an "amateur" rifle. I don't know if it's actually worth that much, but it's still a lot. You really could just get a $200 nugget from a Big 5.
I meant as in maintaining an automatic rifle. I am guessing (just guessing, I have no experience with guns other than shotguns which I own two but use 7-8 times a year on avarage) a bolt action rifle would be easier to maintain and less likely to fail since it is more ''basic''.
And if I have to be honest, I am a bit fan of these long ranged rifles, even though I probably won't be able to make even 200-300 yard shots without practicing for a week or two.
Holy fuck if you want a bolt action just get a Ruger American or used Remington 700, should come out to less than $1000 with a nice scope, bipod (if you choose to use this, most people don't) and enough ammo to keep you busy for a while

Any one have good gift ideas for a fellow /k/tard?
Like cleaning kits? Gun oil? Favorite supplies you use daily?
I have no clue on how people can't find .22 ammo. At least the area i live in people act like its a dry spell, but literally all i do is go to dick's and they always have it do people not know this or something like the fuck.
>pic unrelated i just like it
Where I am at(Central Florida) Walmarts don't have it. Big box sporting goods stores don't have it. LGS have it but at 2-4times the normal retail price. I imagine somewhere there is some fat fuck militia wannabe with a shed that contains 100,000s of rounds that he paid for with his welfare check.
West FL here, it's all the old right wing men buying it up as soon as they see it cuz O'Bama coming for it any day now. All these old fucks are going to die or get sent off to a nursing home with thousands of rounds of it stored away that their lib-tard children are just going to throw away when cleaning out their house.
Okay /k/. Imagine yourself in a club etc, in a shootout. What's the song you want playing?

What's so bad about manual safeties on pistols? I hear people shit talking them all the time, but I can't really see a problem with having one, at least something like a grip safety or trigger safety could be annoying, but a manual safety is just a lever or button you can leave in the off posting and forget about if you wanted to.
Nobody complains about rifles having manual safeties.
many pistols with a manual safety don't have a trigger or grip safety meaning that to safely carry it you'd have to have the safety on or have a DA/SA pistol with the hammer down since that's essentially a trigger safety, but many people just think it's a useless feature on a carry pistol so they would rather not have it at all
Trump becomes president and accidentally withdraws the US from NATO. Lobbyists keep crying for him to go back but he stalls just out of spite.
Who would be the main supplier and beneficiary of military contracts in the remaining NATO states?

That would be all of them, or all the ones I ever played anyway. I stopped plaything video games with any regularity five years ago and I still have dreams where I'm dashing between cover and carefully shooting at various dudes, although why I'm doing it doesn't make any sense when I'm awake.
What's your opinion on the hk usp 45c /k/? Just purchased one for carry as an upgrade from a flock 23 no complaints so far. Just wanted some fellow kommrads thoughts.
Haha why's that? And what's better?

What's you opinion on pistol caliber carbines?

I've been thinking of picking up a Kel Tec Sub-2000 sometime in the future, will I have trouble getting places to sell me 9mm as long as I'm under 21?
