Can you fire a gun in outer space?
Because people think that space is fucking magic or some shit.
Hey /k/, California fag here. I'm about to buy my first rifle today. What tips should I know from other Californians about buying a rifle in CA?
>inb4 move out of California.
Hey there friendo, As a Brit I feel that I can talk about this subject, seeing as you're basically living in Britcuxstan Pacific Edition.
The only advice I can offer you is to just start furiously raping yourself up the arse because that roughly equates to the pain and suffering felt by attempting to get a gun in Cali
so I was looking at this picture of the shield used in the bataclan raid, and it got me to thinking that this is exactly the sort of circumstance in which we'll probably see the earliest powered armor attempts being put to use.
there's a clear need for armor in a police raid-type situation, and it's easy to transport it there and power it for the very short amount of time it'll be needed.
I swear the worst part of FO4 is all the disgusting faggots it's produced talking about power armor nonstop.
Not even Todd's sweet lies compares to this.
>There are 4 power armor threads on /k/ right now.
In the wikipedia article for MARSOC the first picture is of two of them in Afghanistan. One of them appears to be holding an SVD. Would this be due to an issue causing the guy to toss his own gun and pick that up until they return to base, or is it simply due to preference? Or another reason?
Does it happen often that US soldiers swap their weapons for things they find? I know it was done quite a bit in Vietnam, but you'd think it wouldn't happen nowadays.
you dont "toss your gun" or swap it in the military. life isnt video games. thats also a psl not an svd. more than likely he needed more range and they found the psl earlier so he used it.
Is there a rifle tier chart like this?
If not, lets make one
So I came across this image but have trouble identifying the gun.
Does anyone know it?
All I could think of, only good as a urban dmr rifle
I am really finding University pointless. I am a bit weakly spoken round my parents but I did say before basically being forced to go is "I want to join the Royal Marines". I am very fit and regularly do the BFT for entering and would really ramp up my fitness coming up to the PRMC and application. I have the entire application filled out and ready to go. Should I give up uni and go for the RM's? Really am conflicated. Everything inside me wants to become one and honestly I feel my life is in limbo.
If you KNOW that's what you want to do then go for it. You can't have any doubt. You need to also expect that it is going to be very hard. Going in thinking that you are very fit and can pass it with ease is what's going to drop you. Should you decide to do this OP, good luck.
What year are you in of Uni?
Personally I'd finish Uni, if you go to any bootneck recruiter and tell them you're thinking of dropping out of Uni to join the RM the first thing I guarantee they'll say is "so you don't finish what you start?"
Now that's not me calling you a quitter and you have your own reasons for doing things but I just know what it will look like to one of those lads.
Also get a degree behind you, waiting list for the marines will probably be quite long anyway so you might as well get that...

I do not think it will be easy. I just want it more. Not trying to sound like a douche. It's a massive gamble either way.
1st year. This is why I am conflicted. I know they'd ask something like that. Idk what to do. I feel bored here and it's not what I want in life but a degree is useful
An American aircraft carrier defects to Russia. What happens next?
trying to figure out a gift for my dad
Both the deagle brand deagle (44 matte black) and the Cobray "mac10" have lots of meaning to my father.
They were pretty much his first guns, that had to be sold when he needed a car most. (which he almost traded for 2 augs lol)
I can remember the days when i was little and he would set up water barrels when he got new hollow points and i got to fetch them out, the guns have memories to us both.
I've gotten a nice raise at work, and a really nice christmas bonus, and i'd like to repay him for...

What plane should the Russians field to directly counter the Turkish F16s?
is the SU 35 better than the latest modification of F16 (block 60 i think)?
is the future of infantry warfare cyborg supersoldiers? will ethical questioning stop it or are we destined for full body prosthesis soldiers dominating the battlefield, maybe hordes of semi-sentient clones/robots will be superior or is quantity > quality just not sustainable?
general future of infantry predictions ITT.
Future is drones up the wazoo on every front - land, air, sea, space, and cyberwarfare becomes a greater threat to national security.
When cyborg tech crops up it's probably going to go all MGS and shit, with cyborg troops leading drones into skirmishes based on corporate interests
I wouldn't hesitate to discard my fleshy meatsack for superior mechatronic parts though
Look what arrived in the post today. Now waiting for rifle it's going to be mounted on.
