is the hunga munga a good weapon, /k/?
So the happening has happened, and the fecal matter has impacted the rotary impeller. You come upon a seemingly well-defended settlement that seems worth setting down in. The only problem is they have more men with guns on the wall than people with primitive skills to make a small village worth living in. What skills are Anon's meal ticket in?
I was a lead cook at 2 different college dining halls before I became a truck driver. I still know how to feed 1000+ heads per day.

A SHTF thread that is not about gear or being tactical?
Well, I can build things ranging from a simple rabbit hutch to a cabin capable of housing 3-5 people. I also, have some decent farming skills have about 5 acres where I grow peppers, tomatoes, squash, and corn.
10 years working plumbing and electrical.
Pretty sure I'm MVP status for those skills alone since I can easily set up running water and sewage systems. Electrical is easy enough for most anybody to figure out though.
But yeah, I feel most people dramatically undervalue how much of a life improver it is to have a toilet that flushes and a sink that runs, and doesn't mix the two.
This. some reason people here think that it would go all Stalker and they would be all happy go lucky. Let me tell you the first time you take a shit and don't have any TP or go without a shower for a month they will likely be willing to suck your dick to get those things.
>Good afternoon sir, I'm here to investigate your boating accident and the firearms that went with it.
What do you say /k/?
So many people here hate cotton for SHTF situations. Why? It's comfortable, quiet, washable, and warm when dry. The only downside is that they're wet and cold when wet. What are some cotton alternatives that aren't shit?
Alright /k/, SHTF is coming in 10 days. You have $10,000 to outfit a group of 10 people you trust who will appear with nothing but jeans and a t-shirt as soon as it kicks off.
What is currently the best 5.56 carbine out there?
I have a maximum of about $2600 budget.
I've been into japanese military history and culture for as long as I can remember. I even just started college with a minor in japanese.
What organization in modern day japan is the spiritual or literal successor to the Samurai class (武士)? What about the Shinobi?
I'm thinking the closest thing are the Special Forces Group. Do they incorporate any of the old traditions into their organization?
武士 became bureaucrats and elite-salaryman.
You actually have to know this, if you are japanese minor/major or whatever.
Japanese military culture is dead. Ask any Muhreen who ever trained with them.
Hi /k/! I'm starting an archery club at my school this quarter. I've done most of the paperwork, put in my funding requests, booked time on one of the fields every week, and found some members. One one problem remains. We need a name. Some people on campus have brainstormed a list but I'd like to know what hardened professionals like you all think about them.
Anderson lowers are garbage but Palmetto State makes decent equipment.
I'd say it's fairly priced, if not a little too expensive, though you probably want to save for a more quality gun.
I bought a dozen SW sports 1 and 2 and a couple ruger ar's a while back for 520 each to sit on.
my dad also has a couple Colts and he is old so this would just be a toy.
I just want it to be reliable for a few thousand rounds and more accurate than I am.
I know psa makes cost effective stuff, but I was told to avoid their cheapest stuff. is this their cheapest?
So I'm an American and I don't really know shit about the chaotic, constantly changing borders of Europe and Arabic territories. So I'm trying to change that.
I've been following the war in Syria because it's interesting to me, but I can't wrap my head about this.
Is Turkey a part of Iran or not? How are Kuwait and the U.A.E. so separate from the calamity right next door? What country do the cities in the middle of this map definitively belong to?
So what are your guys opinions on big bore weapons and those cartridges. I happen to love 45-70.
Love those marlin 45-70s. Recoil doesn't feel very stingy even thought they're very light rifles. It's more like a gentle push. The iron sight's are shit tho' and the ammunition costs fortune here.
Apparently Sweden is going to start phasing in conscription and I'm afraid I'll be conscripted. I honestly don't want to because I don't support the values that this country has in the [current year]. Is it possible for me to emigrate to the United States and serve in their armed forces instead?
you need a green card to join the US Military
also, conscription is gr8, because if everyone has to use a rifle and go innawoods, everyone stops being beta and letting immigrants step all over you.
Yay or nay? Are they worth that $250?
What kind of helmet is this and where can I get one?
I need a good switchblade.
Gib recs pls
What is the greatest weapon ever made? I know there's many uses for a weapon and each succeed in different use. But let's say in general of destroying your enemies while being so cool.
A happening is going on right now on the news
Before guns become expensive again, tell me which one to get. Sks, or 9mm sub 2000? Those are cheapest options for fun
Both are cool. SKS hits harder, sub2k is easier to carry. If you live in the city, get the sub2k so no one knows. If you live in the country, get the SKS because will care if you open carry a rifle in the country.
Would loading submachine guns with AP ammunition make them as effective as an SBR?
>this bragging demon is one of you
You guys aren't cunts like this guy are you? I really don't want to give up my hobby to avoid being associated with pricks like this.
What does /k/ think of the Rhino, specifically the 50DS? I finally got to handle one, and it was weirdly comfy.
Post your load out and rate.
R8,H8, and Ber8
this is one i scrapped together from someone elses post in the last thread.
I think its a bit better. The old one was a bit two small for most gun pictures to fit.
What does the modern American soldier fight for?
When asked to go kill and die, what is it that motivates him to agree and go kill and die?
This seems like a good gun, not sure why its not talked about too much:
- 13+1 capacity
- 100% ambidextrous
- Beretta 92 style takedown
- Pretty affordable when compared to other hi-capacity.380 handguns
What's not to like?
I have their 1911. Not bad, but could still use some tweaks.
Bonus: made by the Turks. You KNOW they all want to remove kebab.
the French will replace the FAMAS with the HK 416, also a french made rifle did not compete in the trials to replace the FAMAS!!!
why did the French just not upgrade all the rifles to the FAMAS G2?? instead of buying a new rifle
What, if any, effect would mounting a flashlight like this have on accuracy or POI shifts?
I was watching Blackhawk Down with somebody who was sperging the fuck out at this and would rant about barrel harmonics every time a Delta guy had one of his rifles like this on screen. It was annoying because those rifles were intended for close quarters anyway, so a slight POI shift wouldn't matter, but I was curious anyway. Would such a set up have a noticable impact if you took it out shooting past 100 yards? 600 yards?
I'd be interested in knowing this also.
What I already know is that even if it were noticeable it wouldn't be more than a couple MOA. Barrel harmonics and even intermittent stock contact won't make you miss a man sized target at 100 yards.
Consider the wild fliers from the crappy b-mag stocks. You might make some poor groups, but you won't miss many targets at common combat ranges.
It's going to be consistent if there's any change since the light doesn't move, therefore it's going to be factored into the POI when the oper8or sights in. Your friend doesn't even understand what he's sperging out about.

>Consider the wild fliers from the crappy b-mag stocks. You might make some poor groups, but you won't miss many targets at common combat ranges.
I know. The question is more ideal curiosity about if there really is a mechanical impact at longer ranges. I wonder if also that it would make a repeatable shift that could be corrected by zeroing with the flashlight on (ala zeroing a mosin with a the bayonet on), or if it would somehow create just random flyers.
Even if the shift was an extra whole MOA it wouldn't really make a practical difference for close quarters. The guy who was sperging is one of those people who reads a new piece of information and then spams it to look smart, so I'm sure he heard of "barrel harmonics" just recently.
So recently there's been black bear sighting less than a mile from my house, which backs up to a stream and farmland.
I'm a poorfag so all I've got is a nugget and a 12 gauge.
How would a black bear fare against 7.62x54r if the need should arise
AR confirmed more reliable in shit conditions than AR. AK fags on suicide watch.
Do they work? I'm surprised I don't hear more talk about this on the news - the possibility of a terrorist attaching a small explosive to one of these things and flying them in somewhere.
Really? A $10 backpack? That still means you have to walk your happy ass on down the block and leave it there for everyone to see on camera. Why not just set up on a roof a few miles away and fly your drone in, destroying the evidence in the process?
Who Slav here??
