What was your first gun, /k/?
>tfw being Orthodox
>tfw I bet I can get my priest to do that
must suck to be catholic
Ian looks tired. Is he sick? Are we going to lose him like we lost CarniK Con? I don't think I can handle being left with C&Rarsenal and Othiases' nasally fucking face. Also dump Forgottenweapons and Inragetv related information and images if you want. Also

Experimental Muzzle Device Edition
Old thread here >>31471610
Not experimental but here's a muzzle device
Yes that was me, it was a few hours after I picked up my Maadi from my FFL.
What's your ultimate operator's wet dream scenario?
is there any real difference between the ptr, c308, and any other NON Hk cetme/g3 clone?
How different could the difference between the century arms and the ptr be? Aren't they all made from the same parts? Aren't all the original parts Hk made? Other than the assembly, which anyone can later fix, what real difference is there?
What's the next conflict you're hoping to see in the world, /k/?
I'd personally opt for a Chinese invasion of Taiwan or a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Milfag feels general?
Post what's on your mind. Everyone is welcome, even the Coast Guard
>tfw PCSing to a shitty Army base tomorrow
>tfw stationed in the worst marine corps base
Do you wear earpro when you unload your carry gun into your clearing bucket before going to bed every night? I only started carrying a week ago and I am starting to get a ringing in my ears that I can notice even while driving my pickup (modified exhaust) through busy downtown traffic.
mighty ARs edition
old thread >>31474205
All right, which one of you fuckers did this?
im making a firearm safety pamphlet for my university gun club, i cant find a good picture for the cover, anyone have suggestions?
I'm buying my first gun /k/. I've decided a pistol/revolver is a tad expensive for me, so I am stuck between a ~300 dollar Mossy 500 20 guage, and a ~400 dollar AR kit. I plan to use it for home defense and for shooting at the range with friends.
Also, I live in Illinois (cook county), so I feel my choices are limited.
I am tempted by the mossy because of the price, but
The AR is appealing because of the availability of ammo and such.
Why is Russia developing two different tracked IFVs using the same armament ?
One is a 25 tons vehicle, the other is a 48 tons superheavy IFV based on the T-14 chassis.
However, despite these differences, won't they have basically the same tactical role in the end ?
>However, despite these differences, won't they have basically the same tactical role in the end ?
More or less but each vehicle has its own unique strengths and weaknesses.
The Kurganets-25 is amphibious and thus can advance much faster on a strategic level but isnt as armoured as the T-15 which thanks to its armour, isnt amphibious but is able to take hits that would destroy a Kurganets and thus is more suitable for urban warfare.
The image got me thinking, what weapons would actually be suitable for use on Mars? I assume ease of manufacture, high reliability in dusty/cold conditions, and cost considerations pretty much put the Soviet small arms ensemble (AK-74, PKM and derivatives thereof) firmly in front, but I'm open to suggestions. Would it make more sense to field a battle rifle or an assault rifle? I somehow don't think Mosin carbines would be the best option.
AR-15. It can go anywhere, do anything, kill anything, its indestructible. Its a miracle of modern science and engineering. NASA wouldn't be foolish enough to use a lesser gun, which is any other gun but the AR-15.
itt we talk about airguns-anything from pump to pcp, to what pellet is best, to what guns are best and so on.
What are some /k/ related /mischief/ you've done?
>Glock 43 comes out
>buy the Glock 42 anyways
Coast guard thread? Coast guard thread.
I am gonna dump a bunch of pics. Share your stories, time in, etc.
What does a cutter even do anyway?
What is the best weapon for 33ft long anacondas?
Hard body armor.
Constrictors kill by biting their victim, thereby latching on, then wrapping around until they are crushed. If they cant latch on, they arent gonna be able to wrap around you.
After that, just knife them
Whats /k/ think about 80% lowers? Whats the real deal?
A waste of money if you don't have your own drill press and mill.
Can it be done with hand tools? Yes. Should you dremel it? Fuck no.
Most of the people I see buying them have no machining experience. Even if they get it completed it's going to be a sloppy mess of jagged, poorly cut aluminum. Probably out of tolerance as well.
You can get a stripped lower that is already anodized for $40 to $60 more than the 80% lowers.
If you do finish it and get tired of that build you...

>If you do finish it and get tired of that build you can't sell the thing, without catching a nice felony.
You can trade it to a friend for non-monetary compensation, or just give it as a gift.
why would you listen to this cunt?
they are popular because most gun owners live in restricted states. a stripped lower is gonna be close to $100 in CA out the door. As of 2014 long guns are all registered so that only added to it.
>pretty economical to do mulitples
>learn how your machine functions thoroughly
>was about the only way to make an AR pistol in CA because sbr is no-no
After seeing the french adopting the HK416A5 and the marines favoring the M27, I think it's clear piston AR is the immediate future now, at least for western people who favor 5.56x45.
Does /k/ have a list of affordable but good piston AR?
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done with a weapon?
What areas of defence technology / preparedness / strategy is the US not in the lead?
>INB4 Vatniks trying to win over stupidly minor technicalities
>INB4 Americans who think the US is the best at everything it does.
seriously, US of A woman look like shit
To the Europoor at /v/, I did it for you, lazy cunt.
Tear apart this design. Do you agree with it or is it shite? Give some reasons other than "it's dumb".
Scope mounted like that is fucking retarded and would never hold a zero. The trigger appears to literally just be a bolt sticking into the wood so you probably couldn't fire it either.
Oh, and the magazine doesn't line up with barrel. That's usually important if you actually want bullets to go in your gun.
Overall: 3/10 at least it's not borderlands
I love in an urban area, south Minneapolis to be exact. I love hunting and want to get a better gun for small game hunting in my yard or so. Which is better for taking rabbits without too much alarm with my neighbours, and if a pellet gun is better, which one?
Forgo the 10/22. Get some manner of bolt action 22. Then you're open to pretty much all make of 22 ammo. To include the subsonic/minicap loads to quietly tag rabbits and such with.
Picture related. Not mine, but I've had my Marlin 15YN for the past 20 years.
Do you guys actually believe you're protecting your democracy with a semi auto AR-15?
I mean i understand why you'd want to keep a gun to defend your home but this whole 2nd amendment thing where you're supposed to stand up againt the gov with your gun in case it tries to take your freedom away is a bit bs don't you think? You're not shooting down a predator drone with a 5.56 NATO, let alone an abrams MBT.
look mawm a shitpost, a shitpost mawm.
Fuck off /pol/ you're just a bunch of faggots who got nothing going for them, so you got to spread your cancer to other boards. Go be productive instead of being the faggot you are. If you're not from /pol/, than you should go. You'd fit right in with them.
in terms of weight,compactness,cartridge ballistics and noise when suppressed;
what is the #1 SMG/PDW ?
main candidates are the PP2000,MP7,P90 and the MP5SD1
>44 round mag
>1.4 kg unloaded
>is designed to take +p+ ammo
>can be loaded with AP 9mm
>40 round mag
>2 kg loaded
>4.6x30 AP round

Anyone here carry at work?
Back when I used to do demolition, it was kind of pointless to bring my firearm with me, since all our personal stuff was generally kept somewhere off-site like our cars or whatever. Since I finally moved into cushy office work though, I've been lugging around a CZ 75 in my briefcase. Guns are definitely not allowed in the office, but SHALL NOT and so forth.
Yee that counts. I did a summer temp type thing at a farm in WA and the old couple there let me carry my super redhawk. Never had to use it on anything, which was nice.
I'm looking to stay employed as long as possible. I kind of need money for more funs.
Waifus, Raifus, and Writefags.
Should Japan and South Korea have their own nuclear weapons?
