Is there a reason to have women in the military outside of a few limited specialized jobs?
Do they bring any benefits to combat?
What causes more damage from an RPG: the shrapnel or the explosion?
Today in Australia, a man was arrested with a Thompson SMG. The news have been running with this since, with the assistance of NSW Police.
But, there is a problem with the line being spewed by the Police, and regurgitated in the media... This isn't a Thompson SMG, it's a Denix imitation.
This is how retarded Australia has become. A fake toy gun is a national news story.
/k/ommandos that have seen combat deployments, was it all worth it in the end?
if you could do it all over again, would you do anything differently?
>Was it all worth it in the end?
No, i didn't volunteer for this type of work.
>Would you do anything differently?
There's no different ways to do the things i did, there was no room for error anyways.
This thread is for pictures you've take while deployed. Anything goes.
Vacation was good finally got fully unpacked, I'm looking to buy another gun and got 800-1100 to spend, any recommendations? Really looking for a range toy preferably a revolver or some semiauto rifle
This recent edition of Military History has the cover story of "Was Rommel a Fraud?"
The title of the article, by David Zabecki, is "Rethinking Rommel" and has the eyecatch of "While the German field marshal was undoubtedly a superior tactical commander, his skills didn't carry over into the strategic realm of operations."
So, what are your thoughts on this, /k/?
I can't think of any specific examples, but Antony Beevor (author of a lot of good WW2 books, he knows his onions) thinks that Rommel and Monty were the two most overrated generals of the war.
New 1911 drum mag
Korean made so it's probably soft metals, but whatever
Are you fucking ready Canada?
Would you rather buy 24 Sukhoi Su-35 or 8 F-35?
I guess China made that choice for you ;(
I thought of this, so I put it together real shitty in MS Paint.
5.56 bullpup rifle
6 rd 40mm long barrel GL
>long barrel AR for size comparison. It should be to scale
So /k/omrades, what do you think about coil guns or more commonly known as gauss rifles. Personally I think its a cool idea but would they ever be as effective as say a 9×19mm?
With a coilgun you're not gonna' get the kind of rapid acceleration you need to make a good weapon.
Railguns have potential, but there's still a fair amount of kinks to work out with them before they become practical.
Carbon nanotubes and graphene for energy storage and lightweight load. I think they could take a lightweight carbon nanotube bullet mixed with a non Newtonian fluid comprised of iron particles would shoot some serious shit.
Post >yfw the age of the nugget is over
>Used to frequent a tiny LGS for ammo in south Austin.
>Always marveled over their $109.99 nuggets and $329.99 Yugo SKS's
>USBP uncle always told me to not be a faggot and buy one.
>check same store with friend from out of town two months ago "This place has great deals on eastern bloc rifles"
>get there and realize it's all over
Feels bad man. At least they had some cool Mausers for $350-$450
Eh, surplus comes and goes. You can still find decent deals on the secondary market. Ammo is still available right now and when it dries up, its reloads and commercial steel cased. I don't think it will be as bad as the enfield or mauser situation.
How much information can NATO and Russian planes share with each other if they are working together to bomb third world countries?
Also, theme song suggestions for the recent NATO/Russia lovefest:
>How much information can NATO and Russian planes share with each other if they are working together to bomb third world countries?
You ever had a really passive-aggressive roommate that you never saw, ever, except passingly at like 3 AM where the only words exchanged where "Hey"?
