How would this effect us? How many bullets use it?
>no manufacturers were expecting this
>no grace period meaning every manufacturer is currently breaking the law
>this will severely hurt ability to supply ammo to the department of defense and military, not to mention civilians
>no reason other than proxy gun grab
>ATF’s sudden and unexpected change in policy on wetted nitrocellulose will likely have a significant impact on industry’s ability to deliver products to the military and commercial markets. Industry members have relied on the exemption for wetted nitrocellulose for many years and are aware of no accidental detonations or diversion of this product into illicit channels. Consequently, it is unclear why ATF believed it necessary to change its policy and, more importantly, why ATF announced the change in a newsletter article with no advance notice to industry.
ITT: Perfect firearms
how does /K/ set their kit up differently when using an AR platform or an AK platform
What are the best online surplus stores to buy from in the US?
I'm looking to buy a glock. On the application it's asking if I CURRENTLY use marijuana. I quit this morning, so I should be good rite? Thanks bros/k/is
i think i need to be high, i cant tell if this is bait
Which Vietnam film is the most /k/ino?
noguns here, Is there a good online resource for learning the ins and outs of basic firearm safety/management and whatnot?
This series should explain how they work.
As long as you remember the four rules, you should be fine.
>don't point the muzzle at anything you don't want dead
>keep your finger off of the trigger unless you intend to fire
>know what's behind your target
>shit, there's four of these
>make up something quick

Does /k/ zero their pistols?
Goring's pistol is being auctioned.
Bling or bust?
$200, less than 1k round count. How did I do /k/?
Would it be possible to create a military task force like the GDI? Not the retarded UNPROFOR bullshit, but an actual military. And if so what should their equipment be? Small Arms, Vehicles, Aircraft, Camouflage pattern, ect.
You might want to define their strategic role first.
It could be possible to set it up.
The USA could, for exemple, start recruiting in NATO countries rather than just hiring americans.
This could be done for a number of reasons but I can already see three :
1) Mercenaries dying is politically acceptable while us citizens dying is less acceptable. This was basically the idea behind the complete overhaul of the Iraki army.
2) As we know, the overhaul of the Iraki army failed spectaculary because local soldiers deserted at the first opportunity for a whole lot of reasons. Some even joined ISIS... or simply sold their equipment to ISIS.
So the USA might want to have an actual direct control over its future foreign auxiliaries and, for this reason, they would recruit directly rather than simply "helping our allies build their own army".
3) Salaries are a huge chunk of the US Army budget. So having bulgarian infantrymen rather than americans might lower this by a fair bit... and still make for very motivated bulgarians, since they would be far better paid than if they had signed in the bulgarian army. This could be made even more attractive by the prospect of a green card at the end of your service.
Now, that would be step one. The navy and airforce would still be 100% american while the boots would be far less so.
Now, the other countries might object to this but, if they have high unemployment and the recruits have families at home, they might see a benefit in accepting this.
what are these simple ass rifles $800+?
Im currently nogunz(but have alot of shooting time with various funz) but Im looking to buy a decent 5.56 rifle(in Commifornia btw) So I really only have one question:
Ruger or AR? I see the rugers are cheaper and i really like the action, so anyone have any advice about which I should buy?
AR15 if you're a nogunz. It's the one "baseline" semi auto rifle in this day and age that you should own at least one of and learn to shoot so you can make a good comparison with any other rifle you will ever shoot.
ar15 market should be cheap but since were so close to election don't know how the market currently is.
Its weird to see Ak and Ars do a reversal.
AR15s are so cheap now a days. Markets saturated. Again elections may have raised prices lessened availability
So /k/, if you were to use an actual silver bullet, not just lead with a silver jacket, what would the gun barrel be made of so you could consistently shoot silver without wearing the barrel down quickly? Also, what weapons would /k/ use for monster killing? Maybe a silver container holding holy water shot out of a low brass shotgun?
Final question, would silver be effective for at least wounding a skinwalker
>Americans genuinely believe that this is a good vehicle despite its many obvious flaws
At least it's getting replaced soon. Who wants to bet that the next vehicle will be just as much of a joke?
>At least it's getting replaced soon
In fact they're making more of them without a turret to replace the M113
The new M109A7 Paladin PIM now uses Bradley components for increased commonality
Bradley is here to stay
Has anyone on /k/ got a Sako rifle? What's your opinion on them?
So, i just inherited a lathe and a milling machine, along with a bunch of tools.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy non-functioning or broken guns and repair them rather than buy them new? would gunshops sell broken guns if asked?
Once you factor time and cost of tooling no on both accounts unless you're an experienced gunsmith. But even then it would have to be your career and you would have to enjoy eating ramen
vocationally trained machinist actually, i went to a tech school.
I can't imagine making afew spare parts or fixing a trigger mechanism to be that bad. Machining isn't that hard.
Just got out of the shower, how do I look /k/?
What is the absolute minimum amount of crew needed to operate a Nimitz-class carrier?
More than the standard crew of the QE class (679).
You can't skeleton crew nuclear reactors.
I'm really hoping we get some decent videos/documentaries about the Queen Elizabeth class automation.
I've only heard a little about it but apparently the space where it takes place is about the size of a frigate and it's like watching an automated factory in motion
The Japanese Defense Minister is cute!
wzup dudes? How do you like the new Bourne film? Is it /k/ enough for you?
What does /k/ think of Skallagrim?
Not that /k/ is a reliable place to learn, but...
Here's what I understand:
>The black powder in the bullet makes bullet go whoosh.
>The black powder causes deflagration, which doesn't create a shockwave but does create gas and pressure to operate the reload.
>Gas-operated guns use the pressure in the pipe funneled into some other pipe to push back the firing pin.
Now, what I don't understand is how recoil operation differs from gas operation besides...

Well, my mistake. What did I fuck up? iirc either "black powder" or "gunpowder" were generic terms. What the fuck makes bullets go whoosh?
I don't know anyone who dabbles in guns and all I've got for research is Wikipedia and Youtube aside of what I might find with a search engine. /k is the only place I know where I could ask questions on the topic. Besides, no downsides to making myself look stupid.
>he doesn't use state of the art bullet technology for self defense
why even carry
SBR requirements are barrel less than 16 inches or less than 26 overall lengths
So I wondered if I get a pps-43 If I got a 16 inch barrel without the stock the overall length would be 29.5 inches without the stock but would a folding stock count tward the length or would I have to get a Polish wooden stock
so it would be considered a rifle not SBR right?
Correct me if im wrong or clueless
if its got a stock on it and a sub 16 inch barrel its a sbr regardless of overall length
How does it cycle?
What does it eat?
Quick /k/, you awake to discover that your whole house is ablaze. You can hear your family (or lack thereof) calling out to you from
outside the burning building. You only have time to grab three weapons from your stockpile before you too will be engulfed in the
flames. What do you take?
>hear my lack of family calling from outside
Take me, sweet death.
Aren't lever-action shotguns hard?
Can anyone tell me what they do better at than break pump and semi shotguns?
It has been a loooooong time since I've seen one so here we go.
if i want to join military special operations forces and i have no gun training… should i get civilian gun first and practice at shooting range, or let military train me? if so will military people make fun of me if i have no prior gun experience?
Its better not to train wrong. Just get super fit. Like 20 pull ups fit. Focus on diet and exercise, along with a solid test score. They'll make you the tool they need, make sure their tool is in proper working order.
