>used to think soldiers used full auto all the time
>thought the mp5 was a rifle (thanks agent under fire)
>thought a red dot sight projected a laser
>thought M16s, M4s, AKs were blowback, and all handguns were blowback (as in like a hipoint)
>though the bolt hold open was magic, how does it know your gun is empty????
>thought open bolt was the same thing as a reciprocating bolt handle

I'm summoning the Frenchfag!
Please honor me with your presence.
Not OP, but I've always wondered about the stabilized mirror in the sights.
- Does the thermal imager share the same mirror with the LRF and gunsight or does it have it's own mirror?
- Then how does the commanders sight share the day sight with the thermal imager?
Je veux la liberté , l'égalité , la fraternité!
Damn, you're fast!
So, i want to ask you something.
Do you happen to know the names or nomenclature of the rounds used in French Leclers? I don't know jack about French tank ammo.
Is Leclerc supposed to be used offensively, or defensively? (for example; Russian tanks are offensive and Leo 2 is more defensive, hull down and such.)
I'm back from the 5th dimension edition.
> When is it?
January 30th - 31st.
> Where is it?
Roughly in the middle of California near Fresno, along I-5. There are currently carpools being organized departing from the Bay Area and Orange County. Our Slack channel has the details.
> How do I get involved?
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to join our slack channel. There you'll get access to the carpool spreadsheet and more information.
> What do I bring?
Food and camping supplies to sustain you for as long as you intend to stay, the meet will last from Saturday morning to Sunday evening.
You are not required to bring your own firearms, myself and some others are bringing rifles and ammunition for those who don't own their own and wish to join the fun.
Unfortunately we can't bring clays around this time, lead and tannerite are both fine.
I'd like people to bring tables, shade, and targets as these are things I can't personally supply for everybody, we have a spreadsheet floating around for who-brings-what.
Finally a meetup I can actually go to
Since my old computer was spirited away somewhere, I lost all my meetup pasta and info. I can get the email list back, but I can't recover all the photos of old meetups. Post em if you got em.
I don't have any photos, but OC Kommando checking in!
>I still have seats to offer
1) White neighborhood CC
2) Ghetto area CC
3) Summer CC General
4) Winter CC General
1) 9mm Shield
2) 10mm with full power Underwood Ammo loads
3) Glock 26
Hey /k/, My son has been shooting the .22 LR for a while, but he wants something "Bigger" He's just turned 14, and is quite short, only 4'7. I have an SKS, Mosin Nagant, and 30 ought 6. I dont thing the 30O6 would be good, nor the Nagant, but the SKS seems ok, what do you all think.
Pic related, is exactly what my SKS looks like.
>pic related is exactly what my SKS looks like
>as if /k/ users wont know what youre talking about
I was shooting .303 and .308 at his age with my pappy and uncle, you can start him on the SKS but he should be able to handle proper 30 cal at his age
you're a faggot
Why doesn't the military use Amtrak for non-emergency troop transport? Amtrak offers pretty good discounts for active duty soldiers. Not even trying to troll/shitpost here, it is a cheaper alternative then flying everyone around but isn't the hell that Greyhound is.
I mean, it's not like anyone normal takes Amtrak because it's so slow, and so all the extra seats ought to be used by someone.
/k/ be honest. Are you really willing to die defending your guns if they were about to be grabbed?
say NATO decides "fuck it kill em' all" and begins rampaging through the middle east killing everything that moves, what song do you listen to during the rampage?
What's a good low cost .308 battle rifle?
>mfw I read low cost as lost cow
anyway, how about a saiga?
How do we fix this
We have no need for an immediate functional next gen fighter.
During WW2 there were tons of great planes that went from the drawing board to the air in a matter of months.
We have no urgent need for the F35.
We do, however, have an urgent need for military contracts and funding to continue the cycle of the military industrial complex. Go figure.
Is .300 Blackout the greatest meme cartridge of all time? I know that 6.8 was supposed to be, but that never caught on.
A thought crossed my mind today, why exactly has 30 cartridges become standard capacity for almost every countries magazines? I'm guessing there's a little more to it than just picking some random number and having it stick, why not 40 round magazines, or 20, 25, 35, ext...
Just to clarify I'm not asking why every country has the same standard ammunition capacity for their assault rifles (most at least), but rather why 30 is that number
It has to do with weight, maneuverability and ergonomics.
Sort of like cars and gas tank capacities, it would be retarded to have a Prius with a 32 gal tank same with a truck with a 12 gallon tank.
What is this?
Post your gun porn, I need something to make me happy. Also any of you want a empty pappy van winkle 20 year old bottle, it only has a few tear stains on it.
taste is purely objective, post what you like.
