I have decided rifles are overrated because even in a SHTF situation, it is highly unlikely the military and police would go away unless you are in bumfuck nowhere. I have decided that if you live in urban or suburban areas, the most important key to survival will be to not stand out and thus concealability is key. I already have a compacted 9mm and decided i needed something even smaller for summer carry. What are the best .380 handguns?
This guy seems to agree with you. Flashy rifles are the first targets. Snipers>AverageJoesWithCCPistols>TacticoolRifles
GUY GUYS GUYS, OP has decided. you know what to do.
If a modern military were to firebomb Raqqa in a similar manner to Dresden, what planes, modern equivalent weapons and tactics would they use?
P.S. no nukes.
>there will never be an unrestricted strategic bombing campaign with modern capabilities
Remind me again why this is not a war crime?
what's the most autistic thing you've actually heard someone say about guns irl?
>you know, you don't even need to hit small game with a 12 gauge. you can just shoot it near them and they'll die from the concussion!
>what's the most autistic thing you've actually heard someone say about guns irl?

I've got my own pet fuddlore I'm spreading, since everyone else gets to spread theirs. I'm saying the guy in the picture shot too much .45 every time someone asks why his elbow is like that. "Gotta limit how much .45 you shoot or you'll get the ol .45 elbow."
And autism isn't real. This world is fucking ridiculous and it drives some people mad. Like, why is "chaos" not spelled "kayoss"? Chaos should be pronounced "ch-ah-os". WE HAVE A PHONETIC ALPHABET...

I've been thinking about buying a .22magnum derringer. I'm on the swim team, and would be nice to be able to CC in my speedo.
So if an intruder comes during a swim I can pop a cap in their ass from the water.
The framers must be so proud. Fear is your only God.
Does anyone have any decent knives that I can legally carry in NYC?
It is legal to own a hunting knife dagger a stiletto
AND the blade must be >3 inches
Have two Moist Nuggets and a Mauser
Was looking at an Arisaka or an Enfield, but am willing to take suggestions. I'm indifferent on which one I get next, but I'd like to hear positive or cool things about a certain rifle that would make me want to get it.
ENFIELD. Bro you haven't shot a surplus until you shoot an enfield. You probably aren't willing to spend that much but no4 mk2 from fazakerley is a goddamn pinnacle of enfield, all of them unissued. That bolt is pure sex. Although I prefer no1 mk3 aesthetically; no4mk2 is by far the most solid iteration in every aspect.
Also, get yourself a Yugo M48 Mauser, most of them were unissued and almost all of them on the market are mint. Best Mauser for the buck and its build like a tank. 1903s are prohibitely expensive nowadays
What do I get if i expect it to be even remotely reliable
do you have the full NBC suit?
a mask is just going to protect you against eye and lung irritants by itself
no SWAT team is going to be able to gas you
the never agents and air born viruses that'll get released when the happening happens? not so much
No, but im trying to be prepared for likely happenings, most of which include airborne shit that i would like to not breath, nbc suit will come alongside it, just want to be sure that there isnt some ubermensch gas mask out there, or if pic related is fine
Why is it that so many kids who join the Army seem to come back fatter than when they left?
Serious question. Do they not do diets and such for kids who are fatties or borderline in Army basic? How is it that people are coming back home on boot leave with a panis?
I can't speak for every Unit, but here it's simple: they get broke. Between higher demands, a higher OP tempo, and continually being under-manned, Joe has to do more than he did during the surge or at any point. And then Joe gets broke, goes on profile, and puts on weight.
Then broke, overweight Joe gets chaptered for not being able to meet standards and we wait another six months for someone we needed 6 months prior to PCS in.
New glock owner here...can somebody help identify what gen it is?
Forums are not much help
I just grabbed this for $200 at my local gun shop. I just wanted something cheap to keep in my car. Besides the snowflake ammo is there anything wrong with them? Got 10 days to return it and want to know if there's anything I should be aware of.
What are /k/'s thoughts on the Tavor?
I own a nugget and a glock 19, but I don't have a semi-auto rifle. Should I get one or should I just stick with an AR15 or AK?
Tavours are good, well designed bullpups. But the BANG for your buck just isn't there. Ar15 builds at the same price range are just flat out better. There's also that business of being a bullpup that really fucks with lefties and people who shoot sometimes with the support hand. So I suggest no, get an ar15 or an ak, and with the money you saved buy a good optic, lots of ammo before the prices get even more jacked up, or another gun
/k/ why does nobody discuss Springfield? I CCW a full size XDM 9mm because 19+1 rounds is better than a meme11 low cap
>/k/ why does nobody discuss Springfield? I CCW a full size XDM 9mm because 19+1 rounds is better than a meme11 low cap
Just dropping by to let you know that you're a retard.
>miss me yet?
No, I'm glad this fag is dead. Regan was anti gun so he can fuck right off
/k/ I'm thinking of getting a coach gun for the fun of it, but I was wondering, would one of these be terrible for home defense? or perfectly adequate?
depends on the skill of the operator
do you trust yourself to never miss the 2 shots?
how fast can you reload?
a pump would be more practical cheaper and hold more bullets for fun why not
Seriously limited but far better then nothing, with the advantage that they are extremely simple to operate.
I'd reach for a pistol first, but if it's the only gun you have you'd do far better with a coach gun then with a baseball bat.
As a personal note, they are damn fun guns.
if the answer to the first question is yes, I'd think it would suffice, 18 pellets of 00 buck through the chest is a mighty powerful thing I'd think. but good point on price vs functionality, it really is just a fungun I guess. but damn do I want one.
honestly I trust myself with long guns more, I see the benefit of a pistol, but I'm better and more comfortable with long guns in general. which both count a lot to me at home.
