>Tell inventory guy I want .380 glocks.
>He sends me 380 glocks.
I wasn't even there when they arrived.
My guys just went ahead and took them all into the stock room and they where waiting for me when I showed up today.
I've contacted the supplier and they agree the guy I talked to was fucking retarded. They'll probably let me send them back.
I was almost euphoric
But still, dayum son, where did you got this?
are you on a 30day invoice? if so, i would sell them at or just above cost, it will raise your level with the wholesaler and may get you bumped up when the new 9mm single comes in.
hell i would talk to the wholesale and tell them if they extend your invoice 30 or 60 days, you will keep them, if they bump you for the 42 and 43.
then gun broker them and dump them.
Oh man, this is hilarious. Well OP, maybe you should've said "I want Glock 42s"
Then again, that dumbass might have sent forty two G-17s...
>expect a /k/ommando firesale
HAPPENING STATUS: IT'S
PD price man... People will gobble that shit up if you say you're giving police prices. You're still making money, although the profit isn't as high.
Also, the wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man video is strangely appropriate.
It's widely known BOOF is a gunstore owner.
if you are on a 30 day contract for repayment of invoice ( full payment due in 30days or before the 30th of the month depending on terms)
the float is when you buy something you dont have the cash for, sell it , and pay your invoice before the end of the 30 day period, and pocketing the profit.
it is a 30 day window, that you are taking advantage of to sell the merchandise, you dont have the funds for.
the down side, is if you fail to sell all the goods, and dont have the cash for the repayment, your wholesaler can ue, charge a late fee, cancel you account, charge you higher fees the next cycle, or make you account pay before shipment.
>write BOOF on every Glock
>sell them all for 600$
>make tons of profit
>buy 1700 Glocks on .380
I know I'll make money selling these. However I'm at a point now where I can't. There's much more to order and sell now that spring is here and honestly I will be making way more if I focus on other items.
Right now they're just taking up valuable space. If I had four of five people working full time for a few weeks to take care of them then maybe. Best case for me they take them back and I can use this money for shit that sells like hotcakes this time of year.
Sounds like a pretty cool guy, sure he isn't a bear in disguise?
I'm glad there's tripfags that AREN'T stone, that guy's a cunt.
I'd have to think long and hard about it. Cheap.
I have three UPC's Gen 3/4 and Gen 3 10rnd mag. All black.
I KNOW FUCK I WAS DEEPTHROATING A SUB AS I WAS ON THE PHONE AND I WANTED TO CONVERSATION TO BE OVER BEFORE I GAGGED FUCK.
too bad they arnt g42 or g19's....
I already have a 17 and im mil so i can get them for CHEEEEEEEEEAAAAP
id love to help you out tho if and of those are blue label priced.
What "sells like hotcakes this time of year" and why? Poorfags getting tax refunds? What do they buy if not glawk brand glawks?
If you had ordered 380 vp9s you'd be rolling in the dosh
What sells better this time of year? Everyone has probably spent their tax return already. Also I'd figure Glocks would sell pretty steadily through the year.
That's why you don't talk with your mouth full.
Don't quote me, maybe $399 or less.
I have no other choice but to get rid of all of them within a month.
Sporting shotguns and AR's. Weather is warm enough to get out and shoot trap and shit.
Guys, I'm pretty sure I can get these sent back. Don't get your hopes up. However if I AM stuck with them trust me, you'll know. Selling 380 Glock 17's in a month is something that needs to be advertised.
>Don't quote me, maybe $399 or less.
I'm quoting you. Goddammit I'm quoting you.
uhhh, If you post a link to your gunbroker and offer me a deal then I'll totally buy a few.
How much of a nightmare is it opening a gun store? How many hoops are there to jump through? What was the initial cost? Also, what was one thing that surprised you in the store opening process and what is one thing you would have done differently in hindsight?
Bored office peon
As someone who worked in online retail, you never want to have more stock than you will sell in the time between your re-orders. They waste inventory space, and the budget you've used on this mistake can no longer be allotted to other things.
Luckily, Glock isn't a Chinese manufacturer and will help you with this kind of fuck-up.
What kind of retard just goes ahead and sends a distribution customer '380 glocks' without confirming the model order? If he didn't pick up the caliber from the name then he didn't have a clue and randomly picked a model of Glock and sent 380 of them to some dude. Why can't I have a job at this place? I can do a better job than that.
My advice would be to list 10+ on every gun sale/auction site you can. Take out a newspaper ad for a special buy. Make sure you have plenty of 9mm ammo too. Maybe advertise a special layaway option too, like $150-200 today, the remainder in one to four weeks. But if they cancel their layaway, they only get back store credit. Either way, you and your store wins.
Likewise, bring a bunch of them to the local PD's and see if you can get some sales to LEO's.
Seriously start an email list. If you offer them for rock bottom prices with a /k/ommando "just covering my overhead"price I May end up with a glock 17 instead of the new cc piece I actually need.
Here's hoping you can get the order taken back due to the suppliers mistake, but God Damn if you can't....
>glock 17s become the new poorfag status symbol and slav tears intensify
BOOF if you end up selling these, could I possibly get your email so I can get in on it? I'm actually in the market for a full sized 9mm, was eyeing the Steyr m9a1 but if you get bent over and fucked and end up stuck with em I'll happily help you get rid of 1/380th of the problem.
We do on and off. Depends if we get anything that sits around forever. Mostly stock higher end shit now. Lots of 1911's and tactical things. Nighthawk, ed brown, les baer, sphinx, LWRC, POF, christensen, KAC, noveske, barret, any countless others. Here's a fucking horrible shot of some overstock.
You guys carry Sig P320s? I'm in the market for one (though a G17 at that price would be very tempting). Not expecting as good of a deal on the P320 if you got it.
I'm willing to help a /k/ommando gunstore owner before I just go to a random shop.
Like I said, IF I have to sell them everyone here will know.
For sure I'll send five of them to the MN meetup as raffle guns for Ivan.
>Boof's distributor is probably not an asshole
>he will probably be able to return them
>I will never get a G17 for $399
Honestly guys, the chances of them not admitting to how badly this guy fucked up and taking them back is slim to none. Don't get your hopes up. He literally just sent me almost 400 guns that weren't even remotely related to the model I was trying to describe. They're fully aware that they fucked up big time.
That's not a bad idea.
So you should tell the guy
>yeah but instead of taking them all back, I'd just like to send 300 back
>the 80 are for my comrades
And then sell them. They'll all be gone within a day and you will go down in /k/ lore as a god among autists.
Huh. Usually someone higher up the chain who sees such a big ass shipment going out would call to make sure they got such an order correct.
I don't imagine the shipping for 380 glocks would be cheap.
In the fews years I've been lurking on /k/, that Phil Stone is worse. Also Hunter 2 1 Actual. And there's someone else I'm sure I'm forgetting. He would always brag about scalping 22lr after Sandy Hook like he was Gordon Gecko or some shit... His name eludes me.
I'm not saying you should take a loss on them, but you can use the Glock 17's to help drive sales of everyone else. The point of running a store is to sell fucking inventory. Your only drawback is that sales on full-size polymer 9mm's may diminish for a month or two afterwards. Not a big deal really, since you'll know to expect it (and not order similar for a couple weeks).
Or put together a new shooter package... a Glock, 20 rounds of self defense ammo, & 100 rounds of FMJ.
You'd be fucking surprised.
Back when Cabella's had that sale with 870 express combo's for $249 each store was getting seven or eight pallets a week.
Hell, most private stores I've seen that are just opening need a good ten or twelve pallets of stock. They just saw it as another order.
>paying double for a glocknade because some tripfaggot writes his name on it
to bad i already own a black gen 3 17. If they were in .40 or .45 or maybe in FDE id buy one at cost of course because we are all /k/omrades
Actually why dont someone here thats a dealer actually do this for fellow poorfags? Sell them a gun at cost and ship it to their FFL. I would do it if i had a gun story just to help out a fellow red blooded 'merican.
Do a 2 for 1 sale and spam it all over tumblr. You'll make national news by the end of the week.
Genuinely good deals will sell like hotcakes. You could probably sell that pallet in a week if you make people aware of it (and of the good price). Your first move should be to open the book of business, make a couple thousand mail ads, and then call everyone a week later, telling/reminding them about your <$500 Glock 17 deal (and other new/used guns).
>GLOCK 'N LOAD
>NOW YOU CAN DUALIES ON THE CHEAP
>ASK ABOUT OUR CARRIAGE PIERCING BABBY KILLER AMMO
>liberal tears raise sea level 10ft globablly
I'll start stocking bombsuits and sell them with a free glock.
WE'VE GOT BLOCKS OF GLOCKS IN STOCK, COME ON DOWN AND ROCK OUR NEW BOMBSUITS THIS WEEKEND. EACH SUIT SOLD WILL INCLUDE A FREE GLOCK BRAND GLOCK THAT'S SURE TO KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF.
>tfw he doesn't make it happen
He won't even tell us what gunstore he owns. I'm among the crowd that would love to take a peek as I'm 10 minutes across the border from Minnesota, but i can't do shit if I don't know where I'm going.
Hint: I left that frozen wasteland months ago.
New shop now with an 07 FFL. Trust me, there will be threads about manufacturing/disassembling class three shit soon.
>hurrr read 200 posts of inane banter because search keywords aren't hitting and i am still not willing to link
not sure if for realsies....but I'll take one :)
Despite being a recent graduate, I have some money to work with - other funding will be covering doctoral studies for the next 6-7 years. I have excellent analytical skills, so managing money is not a real issue. My concern is in how much stock should one start with, keep, or not have? I understand that it is the accessories that are the real source of profit.
I would buy two at that price, no lie. Are these all Gen 4s or did your distributor unload a bunch of older Gen 3s?
I almost jumped on Centerfire's sale earlier in the week, $470 for a factory-ported Glock 17C. $10 shipping, and my LGS does $10 transfers. Then I saw a pristine S&W Model 19-5 at my other LGS for $700 and talked him down to $650. I still want a Glock though.
Realistically, how much of a line of credit do you need to open up a gunshop (small, nothing huge, big enough to do brisk mail-order and volume on high-traffic items)?
which somehow aren't cheaper than ARs because lol we can make money off retards (but aren't capable of seeing that if they undercut the AR pattern rifles the civie aftermarket would follow suit and so would the next .mil contract)
FN confirmed for peaked at the hi-power and manufacturing other ideas browning shit out on a lark.
The minimi might argue with that but nothing else does.
BOOF, what if somebody set up a Google doc to dump all of our local FFL's info, and you did a /k/ommando sale off of that to save you some headache. Offer a discount for buying more than one, and maybe even piggy-back some other dead-stock you might be looking to unload. Some sort of /k/ommando package? A Glock and a mystery item for $450 shipped. A pair and a mystery item $850.
Whatever /k/ doesn't buy (which wouldn't be much, if any...) you just sell F2F at your store for fire-sale prices.
>I noticed a bunch of SNs are "*XD###"
>$5 hand-select for dubs
>$15 for trips
Might be cool...
dildo tucked inside glockbox!. my ffls face when
This thread is simply amazing. My sides are gone. In recompense I demand 2 glocks from BOOF. That is all.
If dubs you must deliver by the authority of ANDREW FUCKING JACKSON
>also, hail the /k/ube
Sorry I locked myself out of my house for a bit.
I'm going to try and do this if I don't have to pack them up and ship them back right away.
I bought them in bulk a few years ago for a great deal, good excuse indeed.
I'd take a small auto over any .38 revolver. The tiny .357's around are neat.
>Sorry I locked myself out of my house for a bit
I'm fucking dying
>tfw i live in taxachusetts
>tfw glock never made mass legal pistols because of a disagreement with MA Attorney General's office over the loaded chamber indicator
Dude, come on. Boof is a gunsmith and gun store owner and has contributed a LOT to the board, unlike 90% of tripfags who are reddit transplants with an aggravated sense of self-worth who provide nothing but an inflated ego.
And this is coming from a guy who doesn't like trips as they are used now.
