>Went shooting with my dad, uncle, and cousin
>uncle likes to be a shit head and fuck with everyone
>he loads up his old Revelations 30-30 pic related to his
>me and my cousin are kneeled down next to the firing table loading .40 s&w into mags
>everyone has their earpro taken out for a smoke break
>me and my cousin are talking about his new m&p shield
>uncle sneaks up behind us and and fires the 30-30 a few inches over our heads
>instant ringing in ears
> can't hear anything
>uncle and dad are losing their shit
>me and my cousin didn't understand what happened for a second
>ears having been ringing all day since 11 in the morning
>it's 1 in the morning now
Jokes on you, I've had moderate hereditary tinnitus since birth!
It was a real trip finding out that other people didn't have a constant, high-pitched ringing in their ears at all times around the age of 8.
You never really get used to it.
Enjoy! :D :D
The ringing may be temporary or permanent. You won't know until more time passes. You undoubtedly have hearing damage.
If you had been wearing howard leight impact sports you wouldn't have needed to take your earpro off.
If you uncle and dad weren't such faggots you wouldn't have hearing damage.
It's spilled milk in the end. My advice would be to fuck your uncle the same way next time you're at the range. I'm sure some faggot is going to say you shouldn't do that but fuck them.
>acquire .50 BMG or 12Ga with magnum slugs
>sneak up behind uncle
>raise the gun and have the muzzle almost touching his head
and that was the last time anon's uncle tried to pull shit with firearms again
This. First concert I ever went to I had the same problem after because when Slayer finished their set there was just loud-ass feedback that went for like 20 seconds before someone with brains between their ears shut off the microphones and my hearing was fucked for a whole week. Then lo and behold since then I get a slight ringing in my ears every once in a while. Nothing serious, but it happens. All because I didn't think ahead and bring some plugs.
