Good evening /k/omrads.
I've recently acquired a Winchester XPR in .270 and now I'm in the market for some ammo.
Here is my situation:
As I said above, rifle is a NIB Winchester XPR.
It came with a Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope.
I'm looking for two types of ammo.
I'd like ammo for plinking/sighting in the scope.
I also need ammo for durr and hog. I'm in the North Texas area if that helps regarding whitetail size.
My plan is to sight in the rifle at 200 yards and reach out no further than 400 yards on any shot.
What do? Pic related, of course.
Cheapest stuff you like on the shelf.
>Sighting in the scope
The exact stuff you would use on your hunt.
The Good stuff. Your pic related, 140gr SST will fuck shit up just fine. Hogs, Deer, anything in between, you're good to go.
Hell, .243 is fine if you're not a shit shot. I hunted with one until I was around 12 and never had a problem dropping a deer.
Post a time stamped picture of what you hunt with and I'll PayPal you $20. Don't worry, I'll wait.
If you notice, I didn't include Viper series in their list of shit offerings.
Looks like you belong in the garbage with OP's Crossfire II retard.
>hurr a 130gr projectile at 3000fps is bad
Is 140 grain too much? I was also seeing some 130 out there.
I've already got a fuddy ought six. I typicalyy use core loct with that but was interested in someyhing different.
Or my VZ52
Or my RPK
Or my nugget
Or my Winchester 94
a 155 or 168 at 2900 is better and not shit
whatever is cheapest
anything with a barnes (t)tsx or nosler's hunting bullets.
.270 really benefits from being handloaded due to the large selection of bullet available not made as factory ammunition.
whoops my bad
and what does it give you
I'd like to know
