So we're all in agreement that this is currently the best CC pistol for the money, right?
Honestly I trust this bad boy with my life, it has never left me down. I believe that this is the greatest CC pistol ever made, do you agree?
What's a better CC if you disagree?
God dam, tell me about the customers, what type of people gravitate towards the shield?
I carry a Shield 9 for a backup, and for my CCW on off days. Only issue it's had is my girlfriend limp-wristing and garbage Winchester white box ammo. Other than that, it's been a great little underwear gun.
mostly new carriers who I indoctrinate in the way of the shield. my job is awesome because it allows me to shape the opinions of new gun people to match mine :)
also most people who are looking for a carry gun and already know what they want just walk up and point to it.
>it allows me to shape the opinions of new gun people to match mine :)
This really bothers me
Compared to other Stryker fired pistols, the trigger is fairly good.
For being a relatively small fun, it does fit my hands surprisingly well.
The ammo capacity is fair.
The only cons I see is that the slide release is more of a slide catch, and you have to really release it manually. The safety is a bit stiff on mine, which is fine I suppose.
Overall I love it, would buy again.
I like this even better
Shield > PPS
Grip doesn't tear flesh, trigger is actually very good, not just for a carry pistol, mags hold 1 more round at the same size, safety option available, won't break if the grip falls off.
>sig doesn't make an ultra compact with a da/sa
>tfw p239 is the smallest and even then, its still big for what it is
I'm probably going to get one over a shield anyways, I fucking love the da/sa on sigs
You can tell a prospective Shield customer as you have to get a gun store employee to hold the front door open for the customer as he enters and his massive balls drag 10' behind him on the ground.
>Not Glawk 43 master race
i can smoke the fuck out of your S&W shield with a couple of simple mods:
-Vickers Tactical Slide Stop Glock
-Pearce Grip +1 Magazine Base Pads
-Vickers Tactical Extended Magazine Catch
-Ghost 3.5 trigger connector
-Warren Tactical 2 dot night sights
-$0.25 glack trigger job
This thing is launching 124gr .355 projectiles at 1200 FPS out of the FRONT OF THE BARREL, the only place were they should be coming from.
>buy m&p shield
>literally have to do nothing to it
>still 100% better than the glock
just keep convincing yourself that buying all that extra crap is making your shit pistol any better, it's just proof it's on life support
Gotta be the ugliest gun I have ever seen. Feels nice in the hand tho. I prefer Colt Defender and SIG 938
It's the 21st Century version of the J frame snubs that old fart cops insist on carrying but when your mag has more than five beans in the wheel your options look a lot brighter. In fact there are a lot of subcompact nines out there so the consumers are really spoiled for a small CCW
I have shot all three actually, they are all pretty comparable and it really comes down to personal preference, you're an idiot if you really think one is better than the other, that in itself is completely subjective
I don't get it, I cc a glock 19 comfortably everywhere I go
A shield would be even more comfortable, but has half the bullets
Have fun running out of ammo shield fags
i mean not really look at the quality of the parts.. its very easy to tell by the workmanship that the PPS is the highest quality of the 4... especially in the trigger... i mean cmon man really..
I had the option of getting a model with night sights for $100 more, but I realized shooting with night sights in the dark is pretty much the same thing as shooting in the dark without them, except that you know exactly what patch of nothing you're gonna hit
I tried the shield, the Glock 26 and the XD Subcompact, did about 50 rounds each. XD Subcompact felt the best in my hands and I had consistently better groups with it. I also like that I don't need to put some weird mag extender or magazine gap filler to lengthen the grip.
Aslo tried a buddy's sig, I forget which one, I think it was >>27773531 though.
I shot as well with the Sig as I did with the XD and the metal is fuckin cool, but I couldn't justify spending double on it.
Only complaint about my shield is the way the trigger safety works. Don't really like that I have to pull the right part of the trigger to fire the gun. Going to replace it with the Apex flat trigger ASAP
Yeah I could get more of the third finger on the shield than on the XD with a short mag, but still not enough to actually have three fingers fully on the grip. For me the sweet spot is the XD with the extended mag in.
Does anybody actually here own either a p225/p6 or a p239?
>still has all the finish
>furniture is not beat-up 50 year old wood bleached to white by desert sun
>90 degree gas block
>no tape, stickers, paint, or cloth wrapping to be seen
0/10 would not jihad with
Shield design is a little wonky, they unlock too fast. Go to a gun store, ask to see a shield- with the slide in battery, push straight down on the exposed part of the barrel, and it'll unlock.
Sorry I tried
I don't plan on it , besides I have funner guns back home, my guns in America are just filler for the every other summer I go back to Bosnia and get to shoot all the select fire I want
I have a few guns I can do that with, that doesn't mean anything, I have 650 or so rounds through mine without a single issue
Only had this issue when it was new
Yeah, and that means they all unlock too early, too.
>proof of significant testing
>"I've driven my 3-mile commute every day for the past month, that means my car is indestructible!"
I'm really bonered up on the 239 aesthetically, but
>same size as a 228/229
>almost half the capacity
>sits way higher in your hand too
>full height slide serrations not available in 9mm models
Lol, many guns do that because the way the barrel and recoil spring work, this is pretty simple shit, the reason why I can do that on a lot of my guns is because the springs aren't too stiff and they are tilting barrels, the round is out of the barrel before it recoils so it's a nonissue
>this function, indicative of a gun that starts unlocking the breech during unsafe pressure levels, is a non-issue
Have you never seen someone test the lockup of a 1911 by pressing down on the barrel? Also, please enlighten me on which of your other handgun models you've put less than 1000 rounds through do the same thing.
1911 quality varies, This means the force required will vary, with enough pressure you will unlock it, my arm strength and yours may vary, do you even into math?
I can unlock my VP9, and just tested it on my girlfriends ccp
This means nothing, I can unlock my vp9 with slight pressure in the right spots but under firing conditions it's a nonissue, go away nogunz
>You're not gonna be pressing the top of the barrel down in any situation other than
autists are fucking retarded
I don't think you understand how much force it takes to bring a quality 1911 out of battery simply by pushing down on the barrel.
>uh this other gun does it too so
>I know, I'll call him a noguns! This makes me right!
I love mine. Carry it everyday. Its also my official poo in loo gun.
I have handled 1911s and know how it is but that isn't a gauge for testing whether a handgun will unlock too early, go ahead and keep running in circles with your argument, the vp9 is made to be able to be unlocked very easily, I can do it with a single finger, your test of gauging whether a gun is unsafe by how easy it unlocks is pretty stupid because the action of physically causing it to unlock and it unlocking under firing circumstances are totally different
I'm decently accurate with it as well pic related is my group at ~13 yards and it is my 2nd time shooting it.
I love mine. Never had any issues except a couple light strikes on one box of crappy ammo. besides that no issues. If you want to carry a single action gun theres no better option.
>you don't test for early unlocking like that
Yeah, you kinda do, there are more detailed tests to see exactly how bad it is but the thumb on barrel test is just to see if it's even an issue
>keep running in circles
You're right here with me, man
>VP9 was made to do that
Why is unlocking easily a feature, exactly?
>unlocking by hand and firing are different!
Yeah, they are, I'm not saying they're not
the second one has several thousand PSI being exerted by burning powder and hot gas, so I use the first one as a test
the entire M&P series has had early unlocking issues, the shields are no different
Some m&ps had issues with their springs and this was a few years ago, those issues have been fixed, and shields aren't having issues in the number that m&ps did, you aren't misleading anyone here chap
its not an issue, he is just a samefag that shits on shields in every thread, probably a paid shill, you can stop wasting your time because youre arguing a problem that doesn't even exist
I love mine. Just got it last week. The stealthgear AIWB makes it, though.
I like my glawk 43. Like others have said... To each his own.
I like S&W singlestacks.
I want one so bad OP
right now im CC'ing an ancient j-frame'd .32 because my next biggest piece is a full size .45
theyre so cute and nice
also ride or die nigga
P938 is GOAT. Sweet shooter and yet so fucking small. Rugged too - mine ate a whole mag that wasn't even seated; my glove had gotten pinched between the frame and finger extension and the only thing holding it in was my grip. Didn't have a problem unintentionally tripping the slide lock even with gloves on, btw
>mfw I bought one in .40
I honestly love the round, wash me in you judgement.
Why is there never any love for the CZ Rami... its 3" barrel and DA/SA... its the sex...
pic not mine.
The only thing I hate about the LC9s is that the slide release doesn't actually release the slide, and mags are fucking expensive and hard to find. I hope yours is the Pro because safeties and mag disconnects on carry guns suck.
>hey guise I bought a more expensive gun and then put another $200 in tactical upgradez becuase i'm 10th prestige and that makes my gun better
>less capacity compared to the shield
>lol glock trigger
>glocky shit design
>Shield comes in 9 and 40.
>late design to the single stack 9mm market
>glock is better
You're funny. Glock is behind the curve.
Not saying its the best but I love my XDS .45 with the 4 inch barrel for CC.
