You boys ready for the most operator movie of the year?
In 2006, Crichton clashed with journalist Michael Crowley, a senior editor of the magazine The New Republic. In March 2006, Crowley wrote a strongly critical review of State of Fear, focusing on Crichton's stance on global warming. In the same year, Crichton published the novel Next, which contains a minor character named "Mick Crowley", who is a Yale graduate and a Washington, D.C.-based political columnist. The character was portrayed as a child molester with a small penis. The character does not appear elsewhere in the book. The real Crowley, also a Yale graduate, alleged that by including a similarly named character Crichton had libeled him.
Daily reminder that one of the "brave Americans" that died in the attack spent his time posting gems like this on the internet:
Africa would have been subjected to a bloodbath of proportions unseen in history if the white man hadn't destroyed their culture first.
Examples I point to are as follows -
The Zulu nation was happily destroying not only all of it's neighbors, but many of their own people as the leadership happened to be certifiably insane. Shaka for example had a small penis (actually historically accurate) and killed thousands of people because of it. The zulu empire was actually not the bad one as the Matabele under Mzilikali after his loss to the zulu, took his tribe and conducted a scorched earth campaign across the lower section of africa destroying all in his path.
Lets not forget the laughable Xhosa girl Nongqawuse who said she saw visions that if everybody killed off their cattle and burned their fields the dead spirits of their ancestors would grant not only tenfold cattle in return, but destruction of the new white Anglo/Boer civilization in the southern cape. Needless to say after they slaughtered and burned everything no ancestors were forthcoming and 25 thousand of the Xhosa tribe died.
The tribes of africa were largely barbaric and vicious groups of people who really only understood killing for the most part. There were exceptions to the rule as there always are, the hottentots, and various smaller tribes, but for the most part african culture was set up to destroy other cultures to begin with.
I'm not going to say that they are better off having been colonized by the europeans, but the alternative was pretty vicious as well.
Her foreign policy to make things low key got a couple people killed including an ambassador. Also she used private email that was not encrypted which was read by the russians. She's a cunt and should rot in jail
She also didn't call together the counter terrorism group when shit went down I guess. She fucked those guys hard and they paid the ultimate price. Apparently saving face with Libya was more important than American lives
Was complacent with the arming of the "totally not al quaeda" rebels
Refused repeated and increasingly urgent calls for reinforcement of Libyan embassy
Night of the attack "someone" kept forces that were at the ready from getting the green light and moving in country to support
Then she kept flip flopping her story on what happened before settling on the nice "internet video protest gone wrong" bullshit that we hear now
How exactly is she responsible? I'm honestly curious. I've always thought she was a pushy cunt, and probably as fucking incompetent as every other Democrat, but is there real evidence of willfull negligence? It's kind of baffling that the American Likud Party (or, "Republican Party") is just going at this hammer and tongs, but has nothing to say about John Ashcroft's negligence leading up to 9/11, or Don Rumsfeld's hopeless incompetence in Afghanistan and Iraq.
But I am sincerely curious how Clinton could be blamed. What specific actions or lack of action on her part is directly responsible for the deaths of those men? If you can give me some good material, I will definitely read it.
There is no conclusive evidence (that I know of) that she knew of the attack when it was happening. However there are some issues with that. Clinton was secretary of state when the shit hit the fan, so argubly she would have been informed of an attack on one of our diplomatic compounds. I have also heard that she refused requests to reinforce the compound. Another thing was the problems with communications between the ambassador and the white house. It just doesn't make sense that our ambassador to a country would be unable to call home, even if they were being attacked.
Overall, it's a very fishy situation, but like I said earlier, there is no conclusive evidence (that I know of) that she knew of the attack when it was happening. That having been said, I personally think the fact she used an unsecure personal email is more than enough to show she is unfit for office.
shh black people are perfect in every way
I'm curious as to how 13 hours will be. I just saw Sicario last night and that movie had some pretty great operating (except no IR lasers during the night scene). It actually made me consider some of the jobs because it looked like rewarding work but then the reality of dropping uni, either trying to get into the best SF force in the world or getting a law degree makes it a pipe dream.
Well, he had actually lived in Africa...
>Africans did murder him violently.
>Africans did desecrate that one dudes body
>Islam is the modern day Xhosa girl from his story
I would say his very death proved his hypothesis entirely Anon.
Did you even read what you posted?
>implying sean connery and Mr. Not the bees dont make it an epic.
and come on Ed Harris was the shit in that movie, and you got Michael Bein as the SEAL commander
>IIRC, I think when word of this movie first started coming out, Bay openly stated that he hated Clinton, and wanted to see her burned by this movie.
God fuck damn I want to believe
After reading a few of the books, there wasn't much that the admin could have done to provide a reactive response to save the ambassador. What the books suggest was that the lead gov't security guy didn't release the qrf to adequately support the state security guys at the consulate. But thats one of those 20/20 hindsights that really doesn't matter. Theres suggestions that someone senior held back the AFRICOM forces, but the effect they could have had in the time they were spun up and on station wouldn't have been more than a show of force.
Clinton was just padding the resume for a run at the white house. She was ineffective as a leader for the state department. I remember her and Obama placing the blame on some video when even the closest thing to an ally (who openly despised America) went on TV asking "what video?" days after the attack. She's not complicit in setting the stage of the attack but her actions following the attack are suspicious. The email fiasco has got to end, she's being protected for her upcoming campaign so nothing will come of it.
But since she's a woman and her husband laid his dick out in other women when he was prez, she's an idol to the feebleminded.
20 years from now, we'll read in a tell all by some senior SMU guy about intel prior to the attack and actions the admin took during and after the attack.
It does state it on this Wikipedia page
But it doesn't state it on his filmography Wikipedia page
His imdb page
Or his own website
Not saying your wrong, only that the main Wikipedia page just appears to be speculative at best.
I would more than likely see this, if it were directed by Michael Mann as opposed to Michael Bay.......Jesus christ, wtf is it with Michael's in Hollywood??!!
Coming from someone who finished the 13 Hours book recently, this looks surprisingly accurate in regards to what the book has. Lots of scenes in the trailer appear to be identical to how the book told it. I look forward to seeing this.
>Night of the attack "someone" kept forces that were at the ready from getting the green light and moving in country to support
Do you have more info on this? The closest SF team was in Italy and they were at the ready but even if they were sent it immediately it would be too late. One of the CIA Team Leaders wanted an AC130 on station for support but there weren't any in region. They did have a drone that showed up about an hour after the attack started. The closest support they had was in Tripoli at the embassy that consisted of more CIA GSD contractors and two Delta guys. Those CIA and Delta guys had to pay off someone to charter a jet from Tripoli to Benghazi and then had to find support in Benghazi to take them to the compound.
There are many things that herself and her administration are to blame for the attacks. To throw a few quickies out there, the Benghazi team repeatedly asked the State Department for more security but was denied. State only gave them the team of 5 or 6 CIA guys to provide security for them when much, much more was needed. Also Clinton said that anti-Muslim YouTube video that came out that year was to blame for the attack but the attack was planned before the video was released. There's many more things if you look.
>Secure weapons in Libya so we can send them to Syrian rebels.
>Give weapons to local rebel affiliate to deliver them to Syria.
>U.S. secures passage through NATO blockade.
>Weapons instead get used to murder U.S. ambassador.
The State Dept. (which she ran) CAUSED the attack, not just ignored, not just facilitated, but they intentionally gave weapons to people who they hadn't vetted enough, and who the ambassador had warned them about.
Benghazi comes under attack.
Benghazi is full of docs on U.S. was using Libyan extremist groups to get arms into Syria/Iraq to destabilize the region.
So Clinton let's it get hit.
All discussion of Bhengazi was done on her personal email. Not subject to Freedom of Information Act claims, and easier for her to wipe the data.
All evidence of incredibly illegal things gone, 4 Americans dead.
Clinton says "What difference does it make."
And I am totally ok with that.
>Thank you Michael Bay
>I don't see much wrong you SJW
people working for the US state department should not be posting racially insensitive tirades on the internet
if you want to be a racist work at a muffler shop or something
I've never seen someone so offended over FOOOKIN' NUUUUUFFIN'
The huge number of slaves that did enjoy slavery and wouldn't leave their masters after emancipation, because they had a steady gig, a place to sleep, a steady diet, and a fence around their home, which is more than their parents ever imagined having back in Africa.
> which is more than their parents ever imagined having back in Africa.
That's a bit of a fucking stretch. True, it was probably more than they could expect outside of the plantation. But the southern economy was fucked by the war and it's not like the plantation holders could afford to employ them in any capacity. The war changed everyone's life.
This shit is getting way to /pol/ IMO, we need to all go fuck ourselves off /k/
>Muh OOO RAH MERICA OPER8OR KILLAN SAVAGES
>The shot of the Libyans shooting an American flag
You are being emotionally manipulated.
This movie looks cringey as fuck, and will include all the Michael Bay staples such as
>Blurry CGI shakeycam with rapid cuts to obscure the complete lack of coherence in the action sequences
>Characters so simplified and cartoonish that neither the protagonists nor the antagonists are believable as humans
>MANLY CONSERVATIVES IGNORING EFETE LIBERALS TO TAKE MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS
Michael Bay is being openly contemptuous of you. This movie is insulting you, on purpose, because he thinks you're a fucking idiot who will like it anyway.
This movie looks like fucking garbage to be honest, family. Shaking my head.
>Pearl Harbor was a great movie you cocksucker
You have absolutely awful taste in movies and your opinion is invalid
as much as i hate tumbler sjws, i can't really disagree with what that person is saying. trying to reinterpret an authors work in your own context rather than his or hers, is fucking retarded.
I think the public doesn't care about the Benghazi "scandal" because it's clearly just the Republicans trying to damage Clinton. To me the GOP is just as dirty for trying to capitalize on dead Americans.
There have been far more destructive attacks on consulates and embassies that weren't exploited like this.
so are they going to show the ambasidor getting killed by syrians or are they going to show what really happened the crowd trying to resucitate him and taking him to hospital
also kind of shitty when spec ops guy die from regular armatures
dunno but i remember the news when it hit
the news said the shit happened cos of that film innocence of islam and the director went to jail for it
then years latter it came out that there was some thing else happening
the whole story stinks of conspiracy theory and a lot of people are lying and i don't think any thing will change
yeah like your gaping democratic vagina
clinton is the fucking secretary of fucking state, you really think she didnt know about an attack on a fucking embassy that was also subbing as a CIA safe house?
get the fuck out of here you goddamn moron.
I mean a decent amount of the source book is similar, though more realistic about it
>ignoring their station chief who's a fuckbag
Also we don't know how the movie's going to be yet, though I don't hold especially high hopes since it is Michael Bay. Also
We've been dehumanizing our opponents for a long time, why should this be any different?
You do realize that most of this board is pretty jingoistic, and that it's a pretty prevalent attitude in the US.
We now live in a time that we fictionalize real events. This is one of the reasons I no longer watch movies anymore.
Suck our ducks.
Suck alllll of our dicks
Pretty sure that the top tier guys are familiar enough with their rifles and have trained enough to be ambidextrous with it. It kinda lets you be more flexible with your stance for certain situations.
>all this blind Michael Bay hate
How does it feel to have autism and not being able to enjoy anything because you're so over-critical over every piece of information that goes through your special little mind?
She lied about the causes behind the attack for political purposes and then her and Obama ignored the calls for help and didn't send backup or air support.
And then when called out on it, she said "what difference does it make?"
I would too, but I'd feel bad for fucking our first black president over.
