So, when people say gender is a social construct... how do they reconcile that with the existence of trans people and the experience of dysphoria?
Do they actually mean gender *roles* and are confusing the issue? (doesn't seem like it from what I see... it seems they actually say men and women as genders are artificial)
I tried searching about it but mostly what I found are long as fuck essays/threads which seem to avoid the issue and tbqh sound like a load of bullshit. I have that singular doubt but I can't find it specifically answered/addressed anywhere.
>>5664263 It's queers shitting on transsexuals so they can have their way with all the bullshit transgender genders fresh outa tumblr. Gender is not a social construct because gender = sex. Gender expression may be but who cares about that.
So ever since I've known my friend since our freshman year of high school. We have spent a ton of time together and I've noticed that he acts very flamboyant around our group very often. (It's weird cause after I came out as trans MtF in our group he was the one who started acting more comfortable. He's actually a bit more comfortable with his sexuality than I am.) All of this aside the other night our group was having dinner and we all asked him why he made so many gay comments and joke, more than the rest of us usually do. (You know the usual gay stuff like suck my dick, kiss my ass, fuck my ass, the weird usually extremely gay/offensive stuff that guys act like they never say) we asked him if he was bi and told him we didn't care (obviously not if I'm accepted still) he finally just said I don't know. He then talked about how he found the female features in guys cute, basically trap mode and twinks. I've actually liked him for a long time and the last two times I slept over his house we slept in the same bed and he would hold on to me a little and then act surprised if he caught himself doing it in his "sleep". To the point now, we were talking and he said he's just bicurious. How do I get him to try something with me. He's honestly perfect for me (kind, thoughtful, common interest) and I've hoped he would try something for a long time now. He's never been with a girl or a guy before either so I would be his first. We're going to a convention together soon and he said he thinks it'll be cool if I dress as this character we both like (female). Should I hope for something soon, or just wait it out and hope for something to happen at the convention. (Just for reference yes I do pass as a female) Thanks for the help anon's
>>5664245 Sorry anon I've never been with someone before either and as you can tell from the length of the post and the format of it I'm pretty autistic. How does one just get him to whip it out and let me suck on it. Where both under 21 but over 18 so alc is out of the question/ pain in the ass to get/ have a reason to drink. We usually never drink together unless in a group.
I'm gay and my bf is bi, lately he's been getting more in touch with his attrection to women after surpressing it for so long and he's been feeling very guilty towards me about it because naked women are more attractive to him than he expected they would be. Now I don't care if he likes women but he's worried that his attraction for men might disappear because of this or that he might be more attracted to women than men and it's making him feel really bad because he really loves me and we're both still very much attracted to each other and... So if I wanna hook up with dudes, what precautions should I take? I guess you have to use condoms for everything right? Until you see a STD test clearing them or something. I did some googling and god damn this shit is complicated. I just wanna suck a cute dude off and put it in his bum, why does shit gotta be so hard?
Some women just don't feel attracted to women who used to be male-bodied even if they are otherwise ideal. I don't think that's transphobic on its own, if the person can't help their attraction. If the reaction is more cognitive, like, "they're a man" then I'd be more willing to call that transphobic.
But at the same time, trans people are pretty diverse. Some mtfs really are a lot like men. Some mtfs probably are men. Not everybody who transitions is a textbook transsexual, you know?
Hey guys, i don't come on /lgbt/ often (never as a matter of fact), but i have a legit question. If marriage between two men is fine, why not between a man and two women? I love both my girls and i wanted to marry them but i can't because of legal reasons, why isn't the lgbt community fighting for polygamists as well? I guess that's what i have to ask here...
>>5663400 The rumors were acknowledged but always brushed off as a joke: https://youtu.be/i_A7RjLSQ2s?t=372 I hear that was some pretty knowledgable discussion in some Zelda:Link between Worlds episode, but I didn't watch that series because I want to play that game myself at some point
